  1. I am really not sure which is worse, Hizbullah claiming some Pyhrric victory that is destroying a beautiful country and destabilizing a hole region, or anti-Israeli media claiming that Israel’s response to attacks is significantly worse than Hizbullah and other terrorist organizations randomly shooting rockets into Israeli hoping to hit defenseless civilian targets.

What do you expect Hamas to do throw eggs and rotten fruit? They believe we have stolen and occupy their land and are justified to use any means to revese the situation. What is deplorable is that every rocket and mortar is an act of war and and impingement on our national sovereignty.

Our tepid or non existant responses are not those of a proud nation defending her nation and national territory/ It’s like a green light to continue and it will.

Hamas is just doing what Hamas does. They believe they have justification and justice on their side. I can explain them, What I can’t explain is our non response in kind or even optimally the use of immense disproportional force and end the threat once and for all? Our leaders are treasonous war criminals and I would try, then hang the lot of them.

  3. Poisoning the minds of little ones with hate… This is so evil.

And yet the reporter ends by saying “Hizbullah will be the best protection” for the Lebanese people “in the next war with Israel. No hint that Israel will not initiate a war if the attacks stop. No hint of the fact that the Lebanese army is heavily infiltrated by or even in sync with Hizbullah, or that many of the Lebanese people are in fact perhaps in fear of Hizbullah itself but dare not speak out. There is no way the Lebanese army is going to “root out” Hizbullah–no desire to, no political consensus to, no ability to do so.

The reporter’s words make it sound as if the US should give MORE money to the Lebanese army. (Which only gives Hizbullah more money and weapons in the end.)

  4. “semi-cynical”

    — Shy Guy

You’re right, Shy. I’m glad they reported this. I look forward to the next war, and the annihilation of Lebanon.

  5. “If one permits an infidel to continue in his role as a corrupter of the earth, the infidel’s moral suffering will be all the worse. If one kills the infidel, and this stops him from perpetrating his misdeeds, his death will be a blessing to him.”
    – Ayatollah Khomeini

“Martyrdom operations – suicide bombings – should be exported outside Palestine. I encourage Palestinians to take suicide bombings worldwide. Don’t be shy about it.”
    – Hassan Nasrallah

  6. Laura, I don’t think the report supported Hizballah. It had a semi-cynical mood of “draw your own obvious conclusions”. Not blurting out the obvious most probably lets these NBC employees stay to report for another day in Lebanon.
