Beck is doing great work. If only we had Jewish leaders who could carry the ball, Beck’s efforts would be unnecessary.

With some Israelis like Yamit constantly attacking Christians and doing their darndest to undermine the Israeli relationship with its only ally, the USA, the sane Israelis should be happy to get public support from a media personality like Glenn Beck as well as the vast majority of American Christians. The ones who need chiding are the 54% of American Jews who still amazingly support Obama as president though none of the ones I have asked would hire him to run their own business.

What ever…. but we know the G-d of Israel ain’t no jesus, he’s a Mexican!

There is no separate God of Israel, whether Mexican or not. Even a vile bird of a feather with Hamas, Christian-hating, blasphemer like you should know that. What kind of Rabbi has been brainwashing you that you turned out to be such a jerk?

  4. Yamit writes:

    Charlie writes:

Sounds like Charlie and Yamit may be birds of a feather:-))

Actually, there is no separate “God of Israel”. There is only one God of all creation. Jews call HIM Hashem or comically mis-spell HIS name as G_d, Muslims call HIM Allah, etc.

Claiming there are multiple “Gods” is blasphemy.

David ben ariel went to blow up the dome abomination as if he were a criminal, I was talking of Shock and Awe, when Sarah Palin becomes President. Or Michelle Bachman. IOWA. Yipee.
We will blow up the dome abomination, build the temple and Christians will celebrate too, Ezekial prophecy. US of A owns Israel. shyguy before that 6.5 million Jews need to shift from the US of A. What you doing to expediate that? U yamit82?

I call em as I see em, even if the brain dead like you disagree.

This confirms that you are birds of a feather with Hamas, who also claim their anti-Americanism, anti-Israelism, and anti-Christian bigotry is calling ’em as they see ’em.

Yeah and Eagle too!!! What a wonderful world. Tweedledee and Tweedledumb They’re interchangeable.

And, regrettably, we have Yamit, who is interchangeable with Shy Guy and Yonatan on anti-Christian bigotry and interchangeable with Hamas on anti-Americanism and anti-Israelism.

Charlie if you didn’t exist everyone might think I am inventing concerns re: Christians. Thanks at least we know now there is at least one.

Tell me are there more in America who think like you? Are you typical or atypical of of Beck supporters?

    charlie Said:

uh huh? it says above the musloids took it from Christians, like, thats what i’m saying,What u doing to get 6.5 million Jews from the US of A to Israel?

Charlie if you notice I began the history time lime at 1000BC. The Christianization of Jerusalem began only when Christianity became the state religion of Rome after Constantine.

Christianity became the inheritor of Rome and Rome stole Jerusalem from the Jews therefore Christianity stole it from us indirectly. Therefore Jews and Muslims have a longer and stronger claim and history in Jerusalem. Christians have ROME, Muslims Mecca and the Jews Jerusalem.

So now the LORD God of Israel hath dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it?

Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the LORD our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess. Judges 11: 23, 24

What ever your Christian god (Jesus)gives to you so you will possess, and whatever the G-d of Israel gives to us is ours.

  18. Ok. Let’s get real. Yes, this video opens with Mr. Beck facing what Christians consider the “empty tomb of jesus”. The first 10 seconds give the impression that if one enters the door of the tomb, they enter the road to “restoring courage”.

It was probably an inappropriate (although calculated) choice for Beck to use this for a video featuring Rabbi Metzger and for a purported “non-denominational” event. But Beck and the evangelical leaders joining him are on a faith-based mission. The event is an interfaith happening.

Obviously those Jews who hold by the halacha, will opt out of such an event, unless they have assurances from the Chief Rabbi that the content will respect the separation between faith communities.
But if Rabbi Riskin is involved and the theme is taken from Ruth ” my people are your people, etc…”,and every other word is “Judeo-Christian heritage”, then the event will be uncomfortable.

  19. yamit82 Said:

  22. Beck ,ay love Israel but only as certain Israel and Jews but only certain Jews:

In a segment titled “Radical leftists protest in Israel,” Beck and two co-commentators dismissed the hundreds of thousands of demonstrators as “obviously hard left,” their demands reminiscent of Soviet-style communism.

    see clip Here: http://www.glennbeck.com/2011/08/10/radical-leftists-protest-in-israel/

Beck also hinted that an “Islamist movement” had likely joined the protests. “I hate to even bring this up,” Beck said, apparently in jest, “but the Islamists in Israel are saying that they’d like to have these riots – I’m sorry, these gatherings – every Friday now. Because they can help. They can go to the mosque, and then bring everybody out to the streets on Fridays. It’s gonna be good.”

Becks understanding of Israel and our political, social and economic condition is about as deep as a needle on a pin, he views us arrogantly within the prism of his American right wing fundamentalist POV and beliefs. The left may have been the trigger or catalyst for the demonstrations but if 300k people are moved to demonstrate over civil and social grievances at least 10 times the number support them. The left is such a small minority here in Israel than any moron using the web could in 5 min get all the background information needed to provide a factual opinion and if they did it would not reflect what he broadcast.

Beware of smooth talking Greeks bearing gifts and Charismatic (much too slick)Christians professing love!

“They have eyes but do not see; ears but do not hear”

Fellow Jews, here’s a trivia contest for you. In the very beginning of the video presented here, what is the archeological site Beck is standing at the entrance to and the video graphics has us going through this entrance to arrive at the “Restoring Courage” logo screen?

And who is Beck talking about to Rabbi Metzger from the 4:16 mark onward?

  24. Not Jewish enough for Glenn Beck – nor Israeli enough

Bradley Burston is a left wing hack and staff writer for Ha Aretz, but sometimes on very rare occasions they do get some things right.

ADL National Director Abraham Foxman condemned as “highly offensive and outrageous” a radio broadcast in which Beck compared Reform Judaism to “radicalized Islam,” terming Reform rabbis as “generally political in nature” rather than religious. “Glenn Beck’s comparison of Reform Judaism to radical Islam demonstrates his bigoted ignorance,” Foxman said.

Even I who deplore reform Judaism and considers them un Jews, would never think to make such a comparison. They may be misguided and have acted in many ways against traditional Judaism and the Zionist project and the State of Israel but “radicalized Islam”? Why not the Nazis. Beck not only shows his ignorance but displays much chutzpa! What reform Judaism is or isn’t it’s an internal Jewish problem and none of his business.

But Beck, true to mercurial form, could not resist taking a potshot at Israelis before boarding a jet to save Israel.

In a segment titled “Radical leftists protest in Israel,” Beck and two co-commentators dismissed the hundreds of thousands of demonstrators as “obviously hard left,” their demands reminiscent of Soviet-style communism.

  25. @ BlandOatmeal:

Over the years, I have wondered where the line will be drawn in the final days, between the “real” and the “nominal”. It will not be drawn, based on one’s presumed or professed “religion”, nor on how he lives or dresses, or on how much time he spends ladling soup at the Rescue Mission; though there might be some merit in these things.

“When I was a child, I spake as a child. I understood as a child. When I became a man, I put away childish things.” – First Corinthians, 13/11

  26. I agree with Glenn, that Israel is the place that God-fearing Americans need to take their stand. The world-wide attack on Israel is not political; it’s theological. Israel’s enemies do not want to change the administration in Jerusalem. They to not want to replace Jews with Arabs in the Knesset. They do not want to revive the Ottoman Empire, nor even the Caliphate. They want to annihilate the Jewish people, and destroy every scrap of evidence that they ever existed in the Holy Land; in short, they want to destroy the physical reality of the Bible and convert it into a collection of fairy tales, the story of an imaginary people of an imaginary god.

In the 1970s, I had a personal encounter with the God of Israel when I was lost in a forest. I dedicated my life to Him — not because of some supposed obligation, but simply because it is the reasonable thing to do for the God who shows Himself to be God. There was a Christian commune nearby, where people held all things in common and turned over 90% of their earnings to the good of the commune. I had read about such people in the Bible, in the Book of Acts. In the Bible, they were called “disciples”, “believers”, etc. We used to hold Bible studies, by getting together in one another’s houses and simply reading the Bible together. We had lots of musicians with us, who used to put music to songs in the Bible, word for word. Until I met that group of people, I hadn’t darkened a church door with my presence for years; and when we went to churches as a group, it wasn’t to receive some sort of impartation: We believed that WE were the impartation, with the demonstration of the selfless love we had for one another.

By and by over the years, those communes closed down, one after another. People got jobs, people got married… after a while, the ones left on the communes were mostly disabled people, people with serious needs. The state prisons used to exacerbate the situation by sending us parolees, because we had a good “success” ratio with people who lived among us. Meanwhile, those of us in the cities and towns became more and more like ordinary “Christians” around us, and less and less like the people we had been. In fact, most of us early folks left the group entirely, and were replaced by folks who had no idea what we used to be about.

In those early days, I knew there was a real difference between “practicing” Christians and “nominal” Christians. The difference seemed obvious: If you lived with us, wearing free-box clothes and doing menial labor to buy and hand-grind the wheat, you were the former; If you were unlucky enough to see church only once or twice a week, and have to wear a tie to fit in there, you were the latter. It was a simplistic picture, because I was a young man who didn’t understand much about life.

In these end times, rather, the distinction between God’s real people and the phonies will very likely be on where, as Glenn Beck says, they STAND — in a world where nearly everyone stands against God, against true faith, against the Bible, and against God’s chosen people in their chosen land. This will apply to Mormons like Beck, to nonconformists, to Christians, to Jews, even to Muslims; because there really are some Muslims who fear the God of Israel.

Glenn’s making a public stand. More power to him.
