Bedouin squatters to be removed to enable Jewish town to be built.

Bedouin to be evacuated to make way for Jewish town
Residents and environmental organization protest plan to construct two settlements in Negev, one on the site of a Bedouin village.

This is the title and sub-title on an article in the Times of Israel and other internet sites. It is misleading.

To set the record straight, Ari Briggs of Regevim wrote to me.

Hi Ted,
Many articles/blogs/comments are now being written about the government decision at Sunday’s cabinet meeting held in Sde Boker to build new towns in the Negev. This is fast becoming another awful firestorm created again by lack of planning/preparation/smarts of our government.

Why should there be articles titled “Bedouin to be evacuated to make way for Jewish town”. These articles are factually incorrect! Yes, there are Bedouin squatters there but they moved in only after the preparations for the new Town began. The location of the new town of Hiran has been in public maps for 20 years since first discussions for its establishment were raised by the Government and planning process started. Aerial photos taken at the time attest to the fact that there were NO Bedouin located where the town was to be established – the reason the land was chosen. The Bedouin have lived around the general area since 1956 but not in the specific location of the planned new town. Over the last 15 years, the Bedouin have taken over the land illegally specifically during the time it was undergoing planning and approval procedures for the new town of Hiran. They now scream and shout because the town has finally got all its planning approvals (on average it takes 15 years for a new legal town in Israel to be approved) to move forward and they have become “well” established on someone else’s land (i.e. government owned). Even more damaging of course is that they use these lies to harm Israel internationally i.e. expelling Bedouin to establish Jewish Town!!

The decision 20 years ago to setup Hiran and other towns in the area was/is of strategic importance to stop the contiguity of Bedouin land grabs in the Northern Negev and Bedouin land grabs in the Southern Hebron Hills. The Bedouins have moved into to the specific area the town is planned to be built on within the last 15 years to ensure such a barrier is not put in place. The Bedouin are there squatting illegally. It is an internal rule of law issue Israel has every right to deal with!!

Thanks,

Ari

We got some 3-4000 Black Heebs from Chicago mostly camping out for the last 30 years because of fears of what the Goyim will say if we deport them.

I understand that they spread the lie that the real jews are the fake jews. They should be deported, they are not Jews. Israel is the one place that such anti semitism should not be tolerated.

  2. those who are spreading disinformation harmful to Israel should be prosecuted for incitement. Media should be held to strict norms of truth or pay the price of fine, jail, delicensing and public ridicule for lying.
Its about time the Jews took care of themselves first and stop catering to a lying international network.

  3. This is exactly what they did in Yamit and Arad and Omer just to name a few examples. Till now they have essentially blackmailed the Israeli governments into keeping a hands off policy because of threatened violence and the threat of International accusations of Racism against us.

We got some 3-4000 Black Heebs from Chicago mostly camping out for the last 30 years because of fears of what the Goyim will say if we deport them. I raised the question that since Israel has established the principle of allowing this Black Heeb cult to stay in Israel Illegally until a few years ago why not anyone else like the Africans in Tel Aviv and even the Arabs?

Stupidity and political cowardice has consequences, not always foreseen nor immediately felt.
