  3. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. Yamit, you should know the answer. Tkiyah, truah, shverarim – are these just the names of the 3 ritualized sequences of shofar notes and sounds or is there some specific meaning to each of those words?

    As for Leonard Cohen, not a great singer, but truly one of the great Canadian poets I enjoy reading to this day and a Jew at that.

    If the christian nazis had had their way, the people in this video would never have been born.
    If the muslims have their way, they will be confined to a ghetto nine miles wide before they are finally killed.
    A few months ago, two muslim savages slaughtered a Jewish family of five while they slept on Shabbat, and slit the throat of a 2 month old Jewish baby girl while praising allah.
    A few days ago, muslim savages slaughtered a Jewish father and his one month old son with rocks (and Israeli police tried to cover it up).
    Israel just announced it will expand an already well established settlement in southeast Jerusalem. This was condemned by Obama and the EU, neither of whom acknowledge any Jewish claim to any part of Jerusalem at all.
