It is astonishing that the world learned nothing from the election of Obama. Justin Trudeau is to the left of Obama. What were Canadians thinking?
We can expect the following from Justin Trudeau in the short term.
1) Trudeau will almost immediately accept 25,000 Syrian refugees. here
2) Trudeau will almost immediately normalize relations with Iran and end all military operations against ISIS…. here
3) Trudeau will deactivate Bill C-24 that removes the citizenship Canadians who are terrorists…. here
4) Trudeau will repeal part of the anti terrorist legislation Bill C-51…. here
5) Trudeau will give your piece of crap President another avenue to attack Israel via the G8, since Harper will no longer be there to block Obama’s anti Israel policy……here

You are incorrect about many things. The situation is not as one dimensional as you would think. Like all other hide bound Americans you need to actually live in such a country to find out how things really work. A foreigner living in China or many other non-Western Countries falls between the cracks and can have incredible personal freedom, and a friendly environment and live luxuriously. For this , the fewer other foreigners the better. Both countries the home country and the host country are not interested in the foreigner they would rather not have the trouble – and that especially regards Canadian Embassies who would rather the Canadian dropped dead rather than help them with any problem. Even criminals would often rather avoid avoid foreigners for many reasons – and here’s one – loss of face if they can’t communicate properly – oh you’ll get your luggage stolen but getting mugged on a dark street while dead drunk – not likely. The foreigner has a get-out-of-jail free card ie “passport” – you are not part of the system, the system has no place for you you are the invisible ghost – just don’t do anything to aggravate the authorities or anyone important and you are free.

What you described is America and Americans – Chinese are very practical – they don’t “believe” too much , they just know they don’t oppose the government they know there is no choice – what they have learned is to respect power – Americans are more the sheeple – they have a choice and yet are so easy to brainwash by the power elite or oligarchy. The national media has a very limited range of what people are to think and how they are to think about it. This is way they are so upset about “The Donald” – he deviated from the script – just a little bit , but it was too much for them.
Chinese may have more personal freedom than Americans and Westerners – The Chicom Government only polices their social freedom in regards to anything that threatens their power – other wise they don’t care – not that that’s so good becaue of neglect and corruption. The people have less societal freedom – but more the freedom to live as they choose which for the most is to live in grinding poverty, but for the small newly created middle class it is quite comfortable. This is opposed to the Western Culture where the Government is invading and policing every aspect of personal existence – this is because in the Western Culture , like the Chicom Party Bosses, the Western Power Elite want to achieve total control of it’s people and they need a different method.
I never fully understood the West until after I spent many years as an Expat – when you think about the Chicoms and the Western Economic Power Elite – remember the last lines of “Animal Farm”.
Currently the Chicom System and the American Monolithic control of the wealth by a select few are very very similar. Expats can find freedom by being in places on the globe where neither system or rather neither the home or host system will oppress them. This is the lure of the expatriate experience especially in Asia and the Far East which has been going on for over a century. Russia is not good right now – being far too mafia -run and those mafia are too familiar with expoiting foreigners.

That is true about Japan and China being largely muslim free. Being that China is a totalitarian nation, the Chinese people are sheeple. They certainly aren’t a population that thinks for itself, but are controlled by their government. That is not a place I could ever imagine living in, but to each his own. Its ironic that some commentators here admire China and Russia, countries with centralized government and lacking individual liberty, while rightly complaining how we are losing our freedoms here. But I do know for sure as a former expat that Mainland China,Taiwan, Japan are safe places to live without fear of Muslim oppression in daily life. Occasionally, they use the tanks in XinJiang and as usual no one ever hears about it.
Lots of Israelis like to go to China for a year or two after their military service – i met dozens of them there, like R. who went back to Haifa and whom I still correspond with. I got my retirement spot picked out and it’s a Muslim free zone for sure and also Canadian free and Western person free, the last thing I want to see in my peaceful retirement is another Canadian sheeple. I’m ashamed that seeing – or apparently not seeing – the effects of the lawlessness of BHO in the US for eight years, Canadians have voted for ‘change’. Sound familiar? Very bad news for both us here in Canada and Israel. Stephen Harper was a magnificent Prime Minister, and now we will have a return to the socialists’ usual moral equivalence, and all its attendant evils. A very sad and dispiriting day.
Indeed this is tragic. Harper is a great man. Canada will regret it’s terrible choice. What is it about westerners that we reject our best and strongest to lead us, in favor of weak leadership. There is a particular pathology of self-hatred which afflicts white westerners and prevents us from exercising self preservation.

It is not a cheap shot at all. It’s just an observation. I noticed this in the workplace. Some and I say some Catholics were defnitely in love with the Muslim garb – it reminded them of nuns.
That is a very sexist remark. Women generally don’t have babies by themselves. It takes two willing people. Economics is one of the reasons for a lower birth rate. Is Trudeau going to make it more affordable to raise children? People aren’t willing to go back to the depression era and be broke, poor with too many mouths to feed.

When honesty and competence fly out of the window for no rational reason other than “we need change,” it’s time to take a deep breath. The people will indeed get change, but it may not be what they are expecting, if that can be defined.
We have a Liberal government in the province of Ontario, and it has taken the economy to a debt level of over $300 Billion, based on the deficit bequeathed to this Liberal government from the previous Liberal government. People here laugh when they hear about the debt in California (for example) but that debt is only about half of what we have in Ontario. And we have a provincial population of about 12 million, compared to California’s population which is about 30 Million.
Potentially grim times. I haven’t even mentioned Boy Trudeau’s love of muslims and their niqabs…
