Obama’s Carte Blanche for Predators

Obama’s carte blanche has set the predators free, among them, but far from alone, Iran.

They are not empires yet. They don’t have enough power or the resources for becoming such. However, all of them – Russians, Turks, Arabs, Persians, – are dreaming about empires, recalling old conquests and victories. And all of them should be grateful to the West, and the US president in particular.

Turkey was first. In April 2009, speaking in a joint news conference with Erdogan in Ankara, Obama named Turkey a “leading US ally” and a “role-model partnership” of the world.

By this time the “leading US ally” had a very impressive track record.

The Cult of Erdogan had already flourished in Turkey. Supporters called him “Beyefendi” – the patron of the nation. Erdogan dictated abortion policy, censored movies, soap operas, architectural designs and even alcoholic drinks. He imposed Islamic law on public institutions and universities; undermined and fined representatives of the independent media such as Dogan Medias Group and Hürriyet; requested dismissal of non-obedient journalists and editors; launched the persecution of generals and liberal intellectuals. Hundreds of people were imprisoned on falsified charges.

“Beyefendi” was a close partner of Ahmadinejad. Three months before President’s visit he publicly humiliated Shimon Peres in Davos.

A megalomaniac with neo-Ottoman ambitions got carte blanche from US, immediately causing Turkey’s neighbors to face blackmail and threats. Hysteric vilification of Israel had become a bad habit for the home-grown sultan, yet it didn’t bother Obama and his entourage. When Erdogan organized a bloody provocation with the “Gaza Freedom Flotilla” (IHH, which financed this venture, is closely linked to the ruling Justice and Development Party – a branch of the “Muslim Brotherhood (MB)”) – Obama and the EU accused Israel of “excessive force”.

Israel was not the only enemy of the “role-model partnership” country. When in 2012 oil fields were discovered at the coast waters of Cyprus, Obama’s mentor in the Middle East openly began terrorizing this country.

Encouraged by his obvious impunity, “Beyefendi” moved to “gunboat diplomacy” and sent a military squadron to the island’s shores. The operation was pointedly named “Barbarossa” in honor of the Turkish admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa, who disparaged the Christian world in the XVI century. Washington and Brussels kept silent. This apathetic attitude prompted Greece and Cyprus to take the course of rapprochement with Israel, a persistent phenomenon nowadays as well, this despite the victory of the ultra-left SYRIZA in Greece.

With Obama’s open support, Erdogan began to build an anti-Syrian coalition led by the MB, while calling the Egyptian president el-Sisi an “illegitimate tyrant”. As a result, he has become persona non grata in Cairo, but has received the nod of approval from the White House.

“New Turkey” – a new term (the acronym of the Ottoman Empire) – became popular in the country. In March 2013, Milliyet published a map of “New Turkey” – it included Cyprus, the provinces of Syria, Iraq, Greece, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Bulgaria. It was “absolutely scandalous!” according to Bulgarian PM Marin Raykov.

Erdogan’s meeting with Mahmoud Abbas in the presidential palace this January was accompanied by quasi-Ottoman decorations with clad-in-armor formidable janissaries. Erdogan calls his followers the “grandsons of Ottomans”, regularly carries out provocations in the Greek skies, makes Joe Biden apologize and openly ignores his “partner” Obama.

Russia came in second.

Two months before the 2008 elections in the US, Moscow provoked a “treacherous attack” of Georgia on Russian’s vassal, self-proclaimed South Ossetia, formally part of Georgia. Soon after, the Russian army invaded Georgia. The West’s response was a report of UN’s International Mission led by Heidi Tagliavini, accusing Georgia of instigating a war (as in the case of Israel, the victim became the villain). Obama’s response? He called for a ‘”reset” in US-Russia relations.

It was a mere reconnaissance mission. By the time of tje crisis in Ukraine, Moscow already had a clear plan of action, while the White House didn’t have a clue. Initially, it was the West that instigated a heated conflict in Ukraine, but when Russia backfired, annexed the Crimea and opened a war in the southeast part of the country, the US refrained from helping its ally by supplying the arms and tried to appease Putin.

The “bear” smelled victory. In April, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Khakassia Vladimir Shtygashev proclaimed that Russia has a “historic right” to the eastern regions of Kazakhstan. It shocked and baffled the Kazakhs. And it didn’t apply only to Kazakhstan.

In December 2014, Russian media reported that South Ossetia could become part of Russia; Georgia fears Russia’s desire to attach Abkhazia as well.

In November 2014, in Daugavpils (the second largest city in Latvia after Riga with large Russian minority) agitators emerged calling to join Russia. In Estonia, people fear that Narva (the third largest city in Estonia) could become “new Donetsk”. Lithuanians are afraid of the same fate for Visaginas city.

Today, Russians reminisce often about Alaska. The most fashionable slogan is “Russia rising from its knees.”

“Reset” is in full swing…

The “Arab spring”, enthusiastically supported by the US and Europe, became the turning-point for numerous supporters of the Caliphate, including MB – Obama’s partners, whom Obama jealously defended against the “cruel” al-Sisi. Let us recollect: Muhammad Badie, the General Guide of the Egyptian MB promised that: “improvement of Muslim nation can only be attained through jihad and sacrifice”; Morsi’s advisor Cleric Safwat Higazi talked about “United States of the Arabs” with its capital in Jerusalem; the spiritual preacher of MB Sheikh Ahmad Gad called “honorable Al-Azhar …to unite the Muslim word and effort, restore the Caliphate”; theologian Ibrahim Al-Khouli said that “We must conduct jihad against the West”.

The main preacher of MB Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi declared that after fall of Constantinople in 1453, “what remains to do is to conquer Rome”.
He isn’t an exception. Dr. Subhi Al-Yaziji, dean of Koranic studies at the Islamic University of Gaza (HAMAS is branch of MB), called to “conquer Andalusia and the Vatican” after Palestine. (Shortly after that, Spain opened a consulate in Gaza in March 2013).

Finally, Morsi himself declared: “The Qur’an is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader, Jihad is our path and death in the name of Allah is our goal.”
If it weren’t for el-Sisi, the foothold of “jihadists” would have been in Egypt, carried out by Obama’s “friends”.

Obama is exceptionally consistent. In order to please all the predators, he opened the cage of one last predator – Iran. The result was instant. In September, Ali Reza Zakani, Tehran city representative in the Iranian parliament, proudly affirmed that Iran already rules in four Arab capitals: Baghdad, Damascus, Beirut and Sana’a.

In March, Ali Younesi, President Hassan Rouhani’s adviser on Ethnic and Religious Minorities affairs, said: “Iran today has become an empire like it used to be throughout its history and its capital now is Baghdad”.

Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Supreme National Security Council, acknowledged that Iran has a military presence in the Mediterranean Sea and in Bab-el-Mandeb.

It’s true. Iran controls Syria, Shia militias – Iraq, Shia Houthi tribes in Yemen and “Hezbollah” in Lebanon. Iranian agents try to provoke the Shia in Bahrain. Russian C-300 will defend Iranian skies from external attack. (Once again, thanks to Obama).

In response, Federica Mogherini – O sancta simplicitas! – hoped that Iran would “play a major, but positive role in the region”.

The final accord of this political masterpiece should be the creation of “Palestine”, which, if allowed, would immediately turn into an arena of a bloody battle between the famished and forceful predators. Subsequently, they will lash out on the most desired trophy – Israel…

The God of War returns to the arena of History – thanks to infantile fools who believe that real bears, wolves, and panthers are the teddy bears of their childhood.
