Why is the UK protecting Hamas and threatening Israel

British Foreign Secretary, William Hague, warned Israel that if it sent troops into Gaza to confront Hamas, it risked losing the sympathy of the international community.
A woman in Britain, Mindy Wiesenberger, sent the following letter to Mr. Hague, in response. The letter has been published in many newspapersincluding the Times of Israel.
Dear Mr. Hague:
You have stated that if Israel tries to defend its population through a ground offensive in Gaza ‘it risks losing the sympathy of the international community.’
Let me tell you something about the sympathy of the international community Mr. Hague.

My father was liberated from Buchenwald concentration camp in 1945, having lost his entire family but gaining the sympathy of the international community at the time.
After 6 million Jews had been annihilated at the hands of the Nazi regime, the international community had plenty of sympathy for the Jewish people. There is always plenty of sympathy for victims.
Israel doesn’t need the sympathy of the international community. What it needs is to defend its citizens.
When as a tiny country it gained its independence in 1948 it had to absorb 800,000 Jews who were thrown out of Arab lands in the Middle East, and it did so without fuss and with dignity giving them shelter and a place of security in which their children could grow up to become productive citizens. When Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria tried to destroy Israel in 1948 and again in 1967 they took in hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs, but did they give them dignity or shelter? No, they left them to rot in refugee camps in order to maintain a symbol of grievance against Israel and use them as a political tool against the Jewish state.
What has arisen in those camps is a complicated situation, but it is what has led to Gaza today.
So don’t lecture Israel on international sympathy Mr. Hague. Not when Israel has just sent in 120 trucks loaded with food into Gaza to feed the Palestinian people there, because their own leadership is more interested in using its population as human shields, launching rockets against Israel from within major civilian centers.
Don’t lecture Israel on international sympathy Mr. Hague. Not when Israel targets, with as much military precision as it can, only terrorists and their bases, trying its utmost to prevent civilian casualties.
Don’t lecture Israel on international sympathy Mr. Hague. Not when the Palestinian media deliberately uses images of victims of the Syrian civil war and presents them as casualties in Gaza to gain international sympathy.
Go read your history books Mr. Hague, go see that since the beginning of the twentieth century all the Arabs wanted to do was destroy Israel.
Go look at the country of Israel now since the Jews have established a state there.
Go read what advances in science, medicine, biotechnologyagriculture and high tech Israel has developed, and dedicated that knowledge to making the world a better place for humanity. Can you imagine any other country that after 60 years of continuously being under attack could have achieved so much.
So Mr. Hague don’t lecture Israel on international sympathy. Israel will do whatever it takes to defend itself from outright attack on its citizenswhether it be from Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran or any other country or terrorist group that attacks it.
And if it loses the sympathy of the international community so be it.
We don’t need the international community’s sympathy. We don’t need another 6 million victims.
Yours sincerely.

  1. Cameron must be afraid of economic terrorism. What is Israel in comparison of the billions of pounds from the ME sands.
Mindy is too nice: Nazi, Europeans and to some extend US collaboration allowed the execution of 6 Mil Jews.

Our only concern regarding that place is the fact that they have many nuclear bombs and delivery systems.
Soon enough the Islamic s may well gain access to that.
That threat is even more dangerous than Iran.

Biological warfare is a possible answer. The technological countries have a much greater chance of survival – to keep most of their populations and we can really mow the weeks and clean out the vermin. They’ll do it to us if and when they get the chance – hit them first with the right cleansing bug.

“Israel must be like a mad dog, too crazy to bother.”

He was quoting Moshe Dayan but also agreeing with him.

‘Never Again‘, a term coined by R Kahane HY”D, and what he meant was that in future Jewish holocausts the Jews would not like in the past go willingly like sheep to their deaths.

In 2002, the Los Angeles Times published an opinion piece by Louisiana State University professor David Perlmutter in which he wrote:

“Israel has been building nuclear weapons for 30 years. The Jews understand what passive and powerless acceptance of doom has meant for them in the past, and they have ensured against it. Masada was not an example to follow — it hurt the Romans not a whit, but Samson in Gaza? What would serve the Jew-hating world better in repayment for thousands of years of massacres but a Nuclear Winter. Or invite all those tut-tutting European statesmen and peace activists to join us in the ovens? For the first time in history, a people facing extermination while the world either cackles or looks away–unlike the Armenians, Tibetans, World War II European Jews or Rwandans–have the power to destroy the world. The ultimate justice?”

In 2003, Martin van Creveld, a professor of military history at Israel’s Hebrew University, thought that the Al-Aqsa Intifada then in progress threatened Israel’s existence. Van Creveld was quoted in David Hirst’s “The Gun and the Olive Branch” (2003) as saying:

“We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: ‘Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.’ I consider it all hopeless at this point. We shall have to try to prevent things from coming to that, if at all possible. Our armed forces, however, are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third.

We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under

Ms. Wiesenberg was far too kind. The British Government was responsible for the deaths of 100s of thousands of Jews before, during and after WWWII through their policies and actions. And the phrase, HaLevi 2, is not Albion, but Perfidious Albion – far better descriptive. They still covet whatever they can put their hands on, including sounding like they possess the moral high ground.

    “Moral high ground”?

For a country of inbred degenerates with rotting teeth?

  12. SHmuel HaLevi 2 Said:

Loosing the “sympathy” of Albion? Come on now. We are talking about the Kent Pogroms degenerates, the home of the Crusaders, the Jews nemesis for centuries.
Their line of products are completely replaceable.
The Brutish prefer HAMAS because they hope that HAMAS would murder Jews. They also desire off shore natural gas.

Where is that poster who defended Britain against my comment regarding British antisemitism a couple of weeks ago?

I don’t know much about Britain, never been there, just know a few comments about Israel I’ve heard from Britons and a great deal that I’ve read. This commenter proceeded to post a list of a large number of accomplished Britons, including Stephen Hawking. At that point, I didn’t have to read anymore.

The Brits seem to have a problem in dealing with the degenerates in their midst, and would rather attack Jews. How many more daylight beheadings does Briton have to suffer to its soldiers?

We don’t need the conditional sympathy of Great Britain or anybody else. Israel will do just fine without any military components that Britain would sell them. Israelis are creative and ingenious–they will find suitable replacements. When I tried to think of all the products I might buy that are made in Britain I couldn’t think of anything other than the storage boxes they sell at Office Depot and Staples.

I can’t imagine what Great Britain is doing these days that makes it a major presence in the world economy or anything else. (I’m not a tea drinker, except for iced tea).

In all, it’s a pretty useless country; it’s better days are behind it.

  13. Although Martin Van Creveld, the famous military historian, is a lefty, he probably had the best advice:

“Israel must be like a mad dog, too crazy to bother.”

  14. @ sheldan:

I honestly think it is better if Israel is respected by the “international community” than liked.

    Personally, I prefer “feared”.

  15. When I hear about comments like Israel risking the support of the “international community,” it reminds me of one of my favorite passages from the novel Exodus. In it, brothers Barak ben Canaan and Akiva are discussing the best response to attacks (they may have been referring to either British or Arab attacks) and the quote I’m referring to is:

“So let us be wrong in the eyes of the whole damned world.”

Maybe Israel should take that attitude, which I think was the attitude they took before all the “peace process” reticence took hold. I honestly think it is better if Israel is respected by the “international community” than liked. The “international community” already has lost sympathy for Israel, so Israel must do what it needs to do to protect its people.

  17. Israel doesn’t need the sympathy of the international community. What it needs is to defend its citizens.

Israel does not need the sympathy of the international community but its understanding to finish the war initiated by terrorist Hamas in Israel’s favor.
UK supports jihadists because of their growing influence (there are now no go zones in UK and some other European countries for non-Muslims) not only in UK but other European countries. They have their own sharia laws.
