About a year ago, my wife and I learned that a close relative of ours had decided to volunteer for the Israel Defense Forces as a lone soldier. This was a longtime goal. He’s 19.

Peloni:  It is said that ridicule sometimes presents the best arguments, but in this short and insightful essay, what reads as ridicule is in fact the imposed reality which the West has fashioned for Israel alone.  It is a sad betrayal of the values upon which the West was founded, values which were in fact adopted from the Jewish traditions of old, but this is the reality which Israel finds itself today, struggling against the same antisemitic game of ‘For the Jews Only’ once again.  And so we will find the means by which to survive this latest attempt to manipulate us against ourselves by our enemies, and hopefully prepare for a better tomorrow, a tomorrow which might hopefully be better informed by these betrayals of today than we stand informed today by similar betrayals of previous generations.

Recalling the recognition of evil which faced the world in WWII, President Trump has finally uttered the words, UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER, something which led to the reversal of fortune in Germany which followed the victory in that war.  While the policy of denazification following WWII was both incomplete and ultimately retrograded to suit the shifting trends of emerging geopolitical realities/interests, the demand of an unconditional surrender by the Axis powers represented the fact that the Allies would never negotiate a partial peace or contemplate any ceasefire with its enemies which left them with any remnant of authority, dignity or legitimacy. In fact, it would be quite relieving to know that Washington has adopted a similar sense of resolve of the Allied Powers with regards to eradicating the abject evil which has been sheltered in Iran over the past nearly half century, as amusingly announced in this historic short tweet.
