Trump: Stop Taking Credit for Iron Dome

Peloni:  Israel developed Iron Dome and US funding made it possible to bring it to scale, as well as increasing the number of deployable missile batteries and interceptor stockpiles.

So while there is enough credit to go around, Trump should not shade Israel’s brilliant achievements in formulating, crafting and successfully producing the remarkable technology which will one day likely come to protect America from her enemies, which should be understood to include Trump’s erstwhile Muslim Brotherhood affiliates mislabeled as allies.

At Davos, President Trump claimed he told PM Netanyahu to “stop taking credit” for Iron Dome because “it’s our technology.”

Key context:

  • That claim is highly inaccurate
  • Iron Dome was initially developed by Israeli defense companies
  • The US later provided major funding and some collaboration with US firms

  1. No dice ! Hollywood thinks D-day was all Omaha and forgets the Canadian and three British British divisions that landed too.
    Ditto the Enigma code breaking before the US entered the war and the British also captured code books at sea in May 41.
    The Battle of Britain was the first check and defeat of the Germans – even before the Russians had to stop feeding and oiling the Germans and start fighting them.
    What else? the US only got significant numbers into France in April 1918 – all very nice and thnakful both times BUT the contemporaries were irritated by the half time Johnny preaching – twice.
