Peloni: The pretense that an Armageddonis terror regime which has chanted death to America for 50yrs is not a threat to the US while it builds nuclear bombs, along with the missiles capable of delivering these bombs to cities around the US, was always based on something between political rhetoric and fantastical non-realities. The threat lies in their attempts at maturing the capabilities to fulfill the hopes enshrined in their chants of Death to America. Some will say that this failed attack on Diego Garcia was the first shot demonstrating this truth, but the reality is that the shots against America began decades ago, in the murder of American servicemen and American citizens across the globe. Indeed, the slaughter of thousands of Americans demonstrated the intent of the Iranian regime, even as they have bankrupted their nation trying to develop capabilities to fulfill the greater realization of that intent.

“Iran is not a threat.”
Iran just proved it can strike over 2,300 miles—hitting Diego Garcia with missiles it insisted didn’t exist. This wasn’t a test. It was a revelation.
Iran just launched missiles at Diego Garcia—more than 2,300 miles from Tehran—demonstrating a strike range it was never supposed to possess. For years, its capabilities were downplayed or deliberately obscured. Now the reality is unmistakable. Put that distance in perspective: Tehran to Berlin is roughly 2,200 miles, to Paris 2,600, to London 2,750. What was once dismissed as theoretical is now proven in practice.
Diego Garcia is the largest island of the Chagos Archipelago. It has been used as a joint UK–U.S. military base since the 1970s,
WSJ: Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-U.K. military base in the middle of the Indian Ocean, according to multiple U.S. officials. Neither of the missiles hit the base, but the move marked Iran’s first operational use of IRBMs and a significant attempt to reach far beyond the Middle East and threaten U.S. interests.
One of the missiles failed in flight, and a U.S. warship fired an SM-3 interceptor at the other, according to two of the people. It couldn’t be determined if an interception was made, according to one of the officials.
Iran just fired missiles at Diego Garcia – 2,361 miles from Tehran.
They were not supposed to have this range.
Surprise, surprise, Iran lied!
Tehran to London 2750 miles
Tehran to Paris 2610 miles
Tehran to Berlin 2200 miles
Daily Mail: Iran has fired intermediate-range ballistic missiles at the UK-US military base Diego Garcia, although neither missile made contact it marks a significant attempt by Iran to reach beyond the Middle East.
It comes after President Donald Trump blasted Keir Starmer saying that the UK ‘should have acted a lot faster’ in allowing America to use British bases to strike Iranian missile sites targeting the Strait of Hormuz.
Overnight further strikes hit areas of Iran and Lebanon, while Tehran also launched attacks against multiple Gulf nations.
On Saturday, Iranian state media claimed that strikes by the US and Israel had hit the nuclear enrichment facility at Natanz, but said no leakage of radiation had been detected.
Meanwhile Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz said strikes on Iran will ‘significantly escalate’ this week.

Their balistic missiles can vary significantly in range/payload. The rocket needs to gain altitude to leave the atmosphere and when it’s up there, decide where to go. Then it falls back to earth. The range/payload is the deciding factor, but in comparison, it should be easy to increase both after the initial launch capabitity. It’s time to worry.
