How Qatar, Pakistan, Oman and Turkey Are Closely Allied with Iran Against the U.S.

Summary of a excellent, comprehensive 4/29/26 MEMRI report (link below)

The U.S. has been betrayed by Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, and Oman (as well as the European NATO members, who have foolishly sacrificed their own security in the face of the threat from Iranian missiles).

Qatar

At the start of the U.S./Israeli war against Iran, Qatar tried to create an energy crisis by halting all LNG production. Two weeks later, it publicized alleged Iranian attacks to create the appearance of being an ally of the U.S.

Qatar’s goal:

Undermine the American war effort by putting pressure on the American economy.

Qatar has done everything possible to stop the war, including using Al Jazeera, a mouthpiece for Iran, to promote pro-Iranian operatives and foment anti-Americanism.

Al-Thani has provided an economic lifeline to the Islamic terrorist regime and has collaborated with the ayatollahs, including sharing a major oil field.

Meanwhile, Trump issued a September 25th Executive Order committing to guarantee Qatar’s security against attacks.

Pakistan

Pakistan has thwarted U.S. attempts to block Iranian ports by opening six land routes for the movement of goods to Iran. 35% of the diesel sold in Pakistan is smuggled from Iran, along with coal, crude oil, and LNG. Pakistan’s finance minister announced a $5 billion annual trade deal between the countries and a proposal to build an Iranian-Pakistan gas pipeline.

The Pakistani Defense Minister fulfilled promises to Iran that Saudi soil would not be used against Iran.

Pakistan conducted a joint military operation with Iran to eliminate its shared Balochi enemies who are seeking independence.

Pakistan allowed the IRGC to recruit Pakistanis to fight in Iran’s proxy wars abroad and to suppress protests in Iran.

The Iranian President visited Islamabad in August 2025 amid visible displays of solidarity.

Pakistan lauded Iran’s performance during the 12-Day War with Israel and the U.S. and told the terrorist regime that it would drop a nuclear bomb on Israel in retaliation if Israel bombed Iran.

Prime Minister Sharif offered condolences upon Khamenei’s death, calling him a “martyr.”

Oman

Oman excused Iran’s attacks on Gulf states and said it should reassess its relations with the U.S. It praised Iran’s bravery in fighting the U.S. and Israel and declared Iran the victor.

Turkey

Turkey has continued trading with Iran and has laundered $20 billion in Iranian funds. It helped broker a ceasefire with Hamas, with which it has maintained close relations for over two decades.

Turkey’s participation in the 2019 killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr Baghdadi was not about aligning with U.S. objectives, as it was presented, but about eliminating a competitor for the position of Caliph that Erdogan believes he is entitled to.
