Peloni: The Saudis refuse to accept that they no longer control Washington policy as significantly as it once did. The real dynamic which must be considered is to what degree Washington is being manipulated towards empowering Turkey against the interests of all others. The real concern for Israel and the Saudis both will be in the context of what terms Trump will pursue in making the peace once the war with Iran is finally ended. It seems that Turkey is routinely the winner of Trump’s Middle East policies, no matter the context, and with Trump advancing the Turkish sycophant Tom Barrack with ever greater authority in his administration, it is little mystery why that is so.
