Peloni: The AstroTurf campaign supporting Jihadists in the West is as misled as the Western obsession with creating a Jihadist second Palestinian state out of the heartlands of Israel. While the memes of chickens protesting on behalf of the fox in the henhouse seems innocent enough, the policies which might follow such untethered political campaigns as Gays for Gaza, if successful, could only secure misery, hardships and horror as their end goals. It is a sad indictment of the failure of the West to secure their education and agencies against the willing intrigues being bought by foreign and enemy forces, and if continued to be left unchecked, these forces will oversee the fall of the West as well as its subjugation to Communist/Islamist forces.

Philadelphia was the site last weekend of a “Naked Bike Ride,” in which “protesters” rode their bicycles through the city stark naked.
What were they protesting? According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the participants painted their bodies with slogans about “immigrants, calling for a freed Palestine, and demanding enhanced bicycle safety measures.”
Elsewhere in Philadelphia that same day, a group of women celebrated “Go Topless Day” by stripping to their waists and marching around City Hall. They want the laws changed so that women can go topless in public just like men.
“Go Topless Day” is the creation of a UFO religion called the Raelian Movement. It’s led by a French race car enthusiast who claims that space aliens created the population of Earth.
Earlier this year, the Raelians called for the establishment in Gaza of an “Embassy of Peace for Extraterrestrial Relations,” to serve as “an international site for diplomacy and contact with space aliens.”
Philadelphia is a much safer place for such “protests” than, say, Gaza. If any of the naked bike riders or topless marchers tried to go naked or topless in Gaza they would, of course, be lynched.
Here’s a thought for politicians who think they need to turn against Israel to get elected. Yes, there are some young people, clothed or naked, who occasionally yell about Gaza. In the same breath, however, they also yell about immigration, bicycle safety, the right to go topless in public, and many other issues.
That doesn’t mean that their votes will be based on what happens in Gaza. In fact, the depth of their concern about the people of Gaza can be measured by the fact that they never protested when Gazans suffered under the brutal fascist rule of the Palestinian Authority from 1994 to 2006, or under Hamas from 2007 to 2023.
For many of the college campus protesters of 2023-2024, Gaza was nothing more than a passing fancy, which is why they moved on to other matters when all the tents suddenly came down two and a half years ago.
Images of campus protesters being arrested over Gaza made for colorful television. A total of about 3,000 students were arrested at such demonstrations around the country. That sounds like a lot—until you realize that there are 19.5-million college and university students in the United States. The number arrested—in other words, the students for whom the issue mattered the most—amounted to three-tenths of one percent of the total.
The Democratic Party’s leadership recently commissioned an internal analysis of the reasons that Kamala Harris was defeated in the 2024 presidential race. The report concluded that there were a number of factors: the Harris campaign “wrote off rural America,” instead of actively competing for votes there; Harris was damaged by her appointment as “border czar,” at a time when the Biden administration’s immigration policy was deeply unpopular; the Harris campaign “relied on Trump being unacceptable rather than building an affirmative case for Harris”; and Harris put too much emphasis on issues that were not priorities for most Americans, such as transgender controversies.
The New York Times reporter describing the Democratic Party study expressed surprise that the document “makes no mention of Israel or Gaza, an issue that has fractured the party.” The reason is that while Gaza fractured the party’s elite and ignited the passions of a small core of activists, most American voters did not count it among their priorities.
Polls in 2024-2026 found that a number Americans, especially younger Democrats, are now more critical of Israel than they were previously. But that is not the same as saying that their view of Israel has a serious impact on their voting.
In March 2026, a Gallup Poll ranked the sixteen issues Americans are most concerned about. Gaza did not even make the list. A May 2026 Pew Research Center survey of the issues that Americans care about most named thirteen; Gaza was not one of them. Even the Harvard Youth poll of 18 to 29 year-olds, taken in 2024 at the height of the campus protests over Gaza, found that “the conflict in the Middle East” ranked fifteenth of the sixteen issues that young voters care about most.
Politicians who want to pander to such voters likely would be just as successful on Election Day if they proclaimed their support for public nudity or the construction of UFO landing sites.
