Peloni: The issue with the Turks is reportedly related to the Turks being said to be responsible for successfully pushing Hamas to release the hostages. In response to this, Trump sees them as having an important role in the future security arrangements for the region while ignoring the danger of promoting this expanding Colonialist Muslim Brotherhood empire whose leader has expressed significant designs on conquering Israel and seizing Jerusalem. The Turks can not have any role in any security arrangement in or near Israel.
No Turkish “Peacekeepers” Should Be Deployed to Gaza
NEW YORK – A leading pro-Israel organization has come out strongly against the deployment of Turkish soldiers to Gaza as part of a future International Stabilization Force for Gaza. It is time for diplomats to realize that nations that have a documented history of providing Hamas with a safe haven, political support, financial aid, and/or material assistance must not be granted any role in rebuilding Gaza, according to Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI).
“Perversely Turkey has long viewed Hamas as a “liberation movement” and does not designate Hamas as a terrorist organization,” stated Moshe Phillips, Chairman of Americans for a Safe Israel. “These facts alone should rule out Turkey from having any role in Gaza.”
According to news reports Turkey is preparing an army brigade of approximately 2,000 soldiers that it seeks to deploy in Gaza.
Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI) shared the following additional reasons for objecting to Turkish army troops in Gaza:
Hamas has used Turkey as a hub to coordinate terrorist activities, recruit terrorists, and manage extensive financial networks involving real estate and other businesses. Both U.S. and Israeli security services have uncovered numerous plots and financial operations tied to Hamas activities on Turkish soil.
Since 2011, Turkey has hosted senior Hamas leaders following the Gilad Shalit hostage for prisoner swap with Israel. High-ranking Hamas officials have frequently met with Turkish President Erdo?an and Turkish intelligence. Some senior Hamas terrorist leaders, including former leader Ismail Haniyeh (prior to his July 2024 killing) have even been granted Turkish citizenship.
The AKP—Turkey’s ruling party—and Hamas share ideological roots in the Muslim Brotherhood. President Erdo?an is a vocal critic of Israel’s response to the October 7 Hamas-led terrorist invasion of Israel and he has used his platform to offer political support to Hamas in the international arena.
“Peacekeepers must be trusted by all sides if they are to function effectively,” stated AFSI’s Moshe Phillips. “Given Turkey’s history, Israel cannot reasonably be expected to view these soldiers as neutral actors. Nor should the United States do so.”

@Peloni Egypt training joint Hamas/ PA Gaza Police force. Where is the outrage? Phase 2 of Trump’s plan will go into effect under Hamas under a different name? And the idiot left is saying that the next election should just be about bread and butter issues? This is absolutely crazy!
Bibi already said
no to this from Turkey but I’m hearing nothing about the threat from Egypt! And why did the head of Shin Bet go to Egypt to discuss it which was just in another article!
https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/middle-east/artc-cairo-begins-training-program-for-future-gaza-police-force
“… The training emphasizes the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people and reinforces the aim of building an independent Palestinian state…”
“… As part of broader reconciliation efforts, Palestinian factions—including Hamas and Fatah, agreed in late 2024 under Egyptian mediation to create a 10,000-strong police force. Half of the officers will be trained by Egypt, and the other half drawn from Gaza’s police ranks, which have been under Hamas control since 2007…”
I24 just reports this without comment as though they aren’t reporting the equivalent of handing Germany back to the Nazis in 1945!
@Sebastian & Keelie, I agree fully with your complaints.
From the Gazan point of view, they probably prefer to have police officers that they know, who know Gaza and speak their dialect. That would be nice for them, although I doubt that very much.
From the Israeli point of view, and this is the reason for your complaints, all these fully trained “police officers” are more than likely Hamas fighters that are not only building an army for the next round of aggression, they are being prepared for that by our so-called allies, just like the police in region C of Judea and Samaria who more often than any others are involved in terror activities against Israeli citizens. They may be trained to police the local population, but they are indoctrinated to attack the Jews wherever they can be found.
I fully understand Israel’s refusal to accept these people as police for the Gazans, or anyone else for that matter. Their previous employment will be exactly the same as their future employment: keep the locals in line with the objectives of Hamas and steal them blind whenever possible. The living conditions for the Gazans may improve when DJT gets his building contracts signed by the Qataris or Saudis or maybe even by the Emiratis, but that will not help the Gazans at all. They will be required to stay in place as human shields in perpetuity.
How did these police in training get to Egypt anyway??? I thought the border was sealed by Israel, or are there still some undetected tunnels under the Philadelphi Corridor that haven’t been destroyed yet? Whatever the case, Israel has not sealed them off if this number of “regular Gazans” can cross back and forth at will with Egypt looking on and smiling about how naive the Israelis are.
My final word on this subject: if the Egyptians like them so much that they are training them to be an effective police force, they should keep them!!
Has the “Stupid Bug” bitten the average Israel, that they need a special organization to speak up against the Turks in this way?
