Netanyahu/Putin meeting

PM summarizes his meetings with Russian President Putin and Defense Minister Shoigu.

By Ido Ben Porat, Sochi,  INN

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who returned early Friday morning from a diplomatic visit to Russia, discussed his meetings with President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, which focused on the Israeli campaign to prevent Iran’s establishment in Syria.

“There was a great meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu followed by a long and excellent meeting with Putin that was delayed because he came from Dagestan,” Netanyahu told Israeli journalists who accompanied him on the visit.

He added that during these two meetings that took place in the city of Sochi and lasted a total of five hours, “we went into the security issue in great detail. Very detailed work. They always asked if our freedom of action would be preserved. And it is indeed preserved and grounded in understanding.”

INTO THE FRAY: On domes and drones

By Martin Sherman

Will the growing use of drones by the Gaza-based terror groups make the billion dollar Iron Dome and anti-tunnel barrier useless—or at least irrelevant?

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose (The more things change, the more they are the same.) – Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr, French novelist (1849).

Departing briefly from the upcoming elections, Sunday’s media headlines conveyed the news that a drone, launched from the Gaza Strip, had attacked an IDF position near the border, with an explosive charge. This incident follows a similar one, several months ago, when a Gazan-based terror group, Islamic Jihad, attempted to drop an explosive device on an IDF tank.

“Unrealistic” realists?

Although fortunately, the damage caused in these attacks was negligible, it would be a grave error to dismiss the scope and scale of the prospective threat that drones could present.

CNN’s Climate Change Townhall — An Affirmation of Faith

By Alexander G. Markovsky, AMERICAN THINKER

George Bernard Shaw aptly wrote, “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.” There couldn’t be a better description of the ten aspirants for the high office participating in the CNN-sponsored seven-hour climate change townhall.

The townhall was CNN’s contribution to the movement that has been characterized by a profusion of prophetic absolutism and fanatical devotion to the cause. Instead, it exposed the illiteracy and shallowness of the candidates who believe that the electricity comes from the outlet and money comes from the bank. CNN and the participants were trying to convince the viewers that the skies would soon fall under the weight of rising CO2, but the magnificent ten, like Atlantes and Caryatids, would hold up the skies while we reject the hydrocarbons and plastic straws, outlaw meat, install expensive light bulbs, enact population control, and blow trillions of dollars to fend off “the existential threat” to our civilization.

Leftist U.S. Donors Using Secretive Arabella Advisors to Push Government Control of the Internet

By Capital Research Center (Sponsored)

A largely unknown, massively funded strategy company pushing the interests of wealthy leftist donors has been quietly funding successful efforts to ensure the federal government’s role in control of the Internet.

The secretive Arabella Advisors is a centralized hub that runs nonprofit arms that in turn have spawned a nexus of hundreds of front organizations outwardly designed to appear grassroots but actually working against ordinary people by expanding government control in the lives of Americans.

Arabella’s vast network was unmasked in an extensive exposé by conservative watchdog Capital Research Center, which documents the shadowy system developed by, housed in and staffed by the for-profit, privately held Arabella Advisors.

The Fractal Wrongness of Leftist Ideology

By Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY

What is fractal wrongness? Let’s begin with a fractal. A fractal is a geometric pattern that repeats itself at every level of magnification. Mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot introduced fractal geometry in 1975 and defined a fractal as “a geometric shape that can be separated into parts, each of which is a reduced-scale version of the whole.” This means that a fractal is a self-similar never-ending pattern that repeats itself at different scales.

The famous Menger sponge is a fractal in math. Fractals in nature are trees, rivers, lightning bolts, and crystals. Russian nesting dolls are fractals. In computer science fractals are images that are the same at any level of scale which means that it is impossible to determine how much the image is zoomed by simply looking at it.

Trump’s Cold War with China

By Alexander G. Markovsky, AT

When an article begins with, “Just about everyone understands…” or “There can be little doubt…” you know that the author has a weak case.

Investors Business Daily’s post, dated May 10th begins just like that:

“Just about everyone else understands that the Trump trade war will be bad for US investors, consumers, retailers and manufacturers. The trade war will hit consumer spending and could freeze business investment in the US. It will damage American business prospects in the world’s second largest economy. It will hurt global growth and pressure global financial markets. The longer this takes to sink in, the greater the damage to the U.S. economy.”

While Donald Trump’s critics see the trade war through the prism of a hundred dollar price increase for washers and dryers or impact on the cost of footwear, Trump sees the rise of China as a major economic and geopolitical threat.

Netanyahu’s earth-shattering announcement

T. Belman. It is clear that the US won’t create a Palestinian state west of the Jordan R. Bibi’s plan to extend Israel law to all settlements and the enlarged Jordan Valley is totally in line with the Deal of the Century.Trump from the getgo took away the PA veto. Instead he wants to propose a deal that is good for Jews and Palestinians alike. But he has never indicated how he intends to get the Palestinians’ approval, if at all.

I think that a unity government will also do what Bibi has announced, so that is not a problem. Trump said he will table the plan or most of it after the elections. So the Plan will be on the table for acquiescence by the Unity Government. Once the government is formed, sovereighnty will be applied. This is tantamount to annexation.

Sources in Washington acknowledged that there is no contradiction between Netanyahu’s plan to annex the Jordan Valley and Trump’s peace plan. It is impossible to overstate the significance of these statements.

By Caroline B. Glick, ISRAEL HAYOM

Hamas, which seeks to annihilate Israel, certainly was none too pleased with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement Tuesday evening that if re-elected, he would apply Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea in coordination with the United States.

Hamas has good reason not to like what Netanyahu said. It even made sense that Gaza’s terror regime tried to harm Netanyahu politically by launching a volley of missiles at Ashdod while Netanyahu was giving a speech in the city. (Netanyahu’s political rivals on the Left and Right were quick to take Hamas’ bait and use Hamas’ aggression as a means to score political points against Netanyahu.)

Jason Greenblatt to stay on at White House?

Despite announcing departure, US envoy leaves door open if peace plan gains “traction.” “I have my family’s support.”

By Tal Polon, INN

Despite declaring his planned departure from the White House last week, Mideast Envoy Jason Greenblatt on Thursday left the door open for a continued stay in his position if the Trump administration’s peace plan gains “traction.”

“Although I have announced my departure, I am trying to stay until the plan is launched,” Jewish Insider on Thursday reported Greenblatt as saying in a recording from an event in New York City.

He added, “If the plan is launched soon, I will stay. And if the plan is launched and we get traction, I hope to stay longer — and I have my family’s support for it.”

Israelis can reclaim their land at the ballot box

By Barry Shaw, TOI

On September 10, Benjamin Netanyahu pulled off one of his famous political masterstrokes when he made a dramatic announcement one week before a contentious national election in which it looked far from certain that he would hold onto his record-breaking office as Israel’s prime minister.

The polls were showing a tight race between his Likud Party and the Blue & White Party, with neither showing the electoral ability to form a coalition government.

The master tactician had to find a way to break the Gordian knot by applying his version of Dale Carnegie’s famous book. How to win voters and influence people.

Drama (not so much) and Democracy

by Victor Rosenthal

PM Netanyahu promised a dramatic announcement Tuesday night. It was about as dramatic as he could have made it, given that he is a caretaker PM who does not have a coalition, and that it is one week before the election. I brought my dinner into the living room to eat while watching him on the TV. It was probably unnecessary. There is very little that he could actually do at this point, no matter how much he wanted to.

Netanyahu noted that the long-awaited Trump plan would be released shortly after the election, and that this was a historic opportunity to take action that – thanks to his close relationship with President Trump – would receive the sanction of the US. He promised that if elected he would apply sovereignty (ribonut) to all Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria as soon as Trump’s plan was released. He promised that immediately after the election, without waiting for the American plan, he would apply Israeli sovereignty to the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea area. He displayed a detailed map of the area that would be included. This would finally establish, he said, the eastern border of the State of Israel, and would ensure that Judea and Samaria would not become a terrorist stronghold like Gaza.

What does Bolton’s exit mean for U.S. policy on Israel and Iran?

Given the two major departures of pro-Israel figures like the now former national security advisor and the upcoming resignation of U.S. special envoy Jason Greenblatt, questions remain as to the direction of the Trump administration. With John Bolton ousted as national security advisor on Tuesday, questions remain regarding the Trump administration’s posture on both the U.S.-Israel relationship and the Iranian threat.

“[U.S.] President [Donald] Trump and John Bolton share a strategic vision of leveraging American economic and military power, especially maximum sanctions pressure and targeted power projection to achieve international security objectives,” Washington-based geopolitical strategist John Sitilides told JNS. “John Bolton possesses superb situational awareness skills and a first-rate analytical intellect on national-security priorities.”

Trump Discussed Easing Iran Sanctions, Prompting Bolton Pushback

T. Belman. I am with Bolton and Bibi on this.  All the pressure is on Iran. They are in need of a resolution, not the US. If Iran makes moves on the nuclear issue, the US should make them pay. Lifting some sanctions in order to get a meeting undermines one’s negotiating position. I think the US should actively be working for regime change.

President Donald Trump discussed easing sanctions on Iran to help secure a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani later this month, prompting then-National Security Advisor John Bolton to argue forcefully against such a step, according to three people familiar with the matter.

After an Oval Office meeting on Monday when the idea came up, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin voiced his support for the move as a way to restart negotiations with Iran, some of the people said. Later in the day, Trump decided to oust Bolton, whose departure was announced Tuesday.

The Humanitarian Hoax of Climate Change II – Debunking the Bunk – hoax 46

By Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY  9.11.19

The Humanitarian Hoax is a deliberate and deceitful tactic of presenting a destructive policy as altruistic. The humanitarian huckster presents himself as a compassionate advocate when in fact he is the disguised enemy.

The humanitarian hoax of climate change is so enormous and far-reaching that one article on the subject is simply not enough.

My first article, The Humanitarian Hoax of Climate Change: Killing America With Kindness – hoax 4, was published two years ago on 7.21.2017. The second, The Riddle of Climate Change, published on 2.27.19 continued the discussion. Now it is necessary to explore the ever-expanding climate change hoax and examine the progress the hucksters have made in advance of the pivotal 2020 elections.

Let’s begin with huckster-in-chief Barack Obama and his recent staggeringly hypocritical purchase of a 15 million dollar waterfront mansion on Martha’s Vineyard. Why would Obama purchase a waterfront mansion doomed to sink underwater in twelve years? He wouldn’t. Let’s review.

The Palestinian middle class is abandoning the Gaza Strip

Religious scholars in Gaza have tried to issue a ruling that prohibits emigration from it, but that does not help: more and more Palestinian middle-class boys and girls are choosing to try their luck elsewhere. The difficult humanitarian situation and the desperation of the political situation only strengthen the decision

Gaza, who can run away (Photo: Reuters)

Tell Al Sultan is a middle-class in Gaza whose family has a pharmacy. Compared to most Gazans, his situation was good: he had a steady income, he did not suffer from poverty – but still felt choked. Al Sultan blamed Hamas for the dismal state of Gaza and even participated in the rare protests against the organization. His mysterious death this week, on his way to finding a better life in Belgium, became the talk of the day in the Strip, prompting reactions of frustration and despair by middle-class people who see no future: “Everywhere is better than Gaza.”

US says peace deal still possible if Israel annexes settlements, Jordan Valley

T. Belman.  Not only will the annexation not hurt peace prospects, it is in line with them.  I have advised many times that I believe that the Jordan Option will be embraced by the Trump team. This annexation is in line with the Option which provides for Israel sovereignty to the Jordan River. This option embraces the idea that Jordan will be the Palestinian State and Israel the Jewish state with the Jordan River deividing them has as the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel currently provides.

WASHINGTON — The White House said Tuesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s vow to annex the Jordan Valley and West Bank settlements would not foreclose the possibility of a political solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict if enacted.

A source familiar with the administration’s thinking told The Times of Israel that the United States was “informed of this announcement before it was made.” Trump’s team, the source went on, said they “do not think it precludes the possibility of a political settlement in the future.”

The best speech on Brexit — from a shocking source

By Thomas Lifson, AMERICAN THINKER

Watch the above speech in Germany’s parliament, the Bundestag, by AfD’s co-leader Alice Weidel, and start to realize that populism is a global force in the highly industrialized world and that the complaints we Americans feel against our elites, and the complaints Brits have against ceding control to the E.U., are all of a piece.  She does not hesitate to point her finger at France, which is leading the resistance to a negotiated Brexit.

Israel. The Dreyfus of our time.

Despite lip service offered by senior French officials, Jew hatred still runs rampant in France as it did during the Dreyfus Affair. The similarity is striking.

By Barry Shaw, INN

The Venice Film Festival awarded their Grand Jury Prize for best movie to Roman Polanski’s ‘An Officer and a Spy.’

The film is about the trial and wrongful conviction of a Jewish officer in the French military in 1894.

The Dreyfus case symbolized the rise of French anti-Semitism. The Jewish officer, Alfred Dreyfus, was wrongly accused and sentenced to life imprisonment on distant Devil’s Island on charges of being a traitor spying for Germany.

He was innocent. The real traitor was Major Walson-Esterhazy.
