Netanyahu wants to kill the two-state solution. Good!

PM Netanyahu’s pre-election promise to extend Israeli sovereignty to settlements in Judea and Samaria created great consternation among American Jews. The Reform and Conservative movements and several satellite organizations were so upset that they sent a letter to President Trump urging him to oppose the annexation of any territory in Judea and Samaria (which they, following Jordanian usage, refer to as “the West Bank”). The letter argues that such actions could “destroy any chance of a negotiated two-state solution” (the expression “two-state solution” appears five times in a one-page letter).

Yishai Fleisher talks to young J Streeters

NOT TO BE MISSED

Start listening at 47 min

1. Fleisher rejects referring to Israel as both Jewish and democratic. He says the two are incompaticle. Israerl should be a Jewish state only that protects its minorities. That’s my position too.

2. The first alternative to the two state solution is Belman’s Jordon Option.

Klein educates Congress on the global pandemic of Muslim Jew-hatred

EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS

By Dr Andrew Bostom, INN

Anyone keeping abreast of the ongoing global jihad carnage—from Somalia to Stockholm— would not be surprised that “white supremacist” killings remain a marginal epiphenomenon. The most recent U.S. Department of State (USDOS) “Country Reports on Terrorism”, published September 2018, illustrates this truth, as summarized by City Journal’s Seth Barron:

“…[A]lmost all the world’s extremist violence is concentrated in a handful of regions, where very few white people live…[T]he record indicates that of the nearly 20,000 people killed in thousands of extremist killings in 2017, white supremacists were responsible for very few.”

Blithely ignoring the worldwide context, which includes the intimate connection between jihadism, and Islamic Jew-hatred, Tuesday, April 9th, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing entitled, “Hate Crimes and the Rise of White Nationalism.”

Questioning Global Warming

By Todd Royal, AMERICAN THINKER

When pollsters realized the public and elected officials weren’t buying global warming as a concept or policy, in a brilliant political move, they came up with the phrase “climate change.” This helped sell the theory of man-made global warming.  Weather is politicized and computer models are only predictions that have been used as pawns in elections and justifying increased government budgets. The global warming/climate change (GWCC) narrative has made Al Gore a rich man peddling  unrealized fear.

In January 2012, sixteen eminent scientists published an article in the Wall Street Journal, titled, “No Need to Panic About Global Warming. If mankind is causing global warming then how do you explain:

“Today’s CO2 concentrations worldwide average about 380 parts per million. This level of CO2 concentration is trivial compared with the concentrations during earlier geologic periods. For example, 460 million years ago, during the Ordovician Period, CO2 concentrations were 4,400 ppm, and temperatures then were about the same as they are today. With such high levels of CO2 the Earth should have been boiling.”

ICC Withdraws Investigations of US After Threats of Sanctions

JEWISH PRESS

In March 2019, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the US would apply visa restrictions on individuals directly responsible for any International Criminal Court (ICC) investigations of US personnel. He added that the visa restrictions may also deter ICC efforts to target US allies, including Israelis.

Pompeo further threatened economic sanctions if the ICC doesn’t change direction regarding who it targets.

On Friday, April 12, the ICC announced its unanimous rejection of a request to investigate American military and intelligence professionals who served in Afghanistan.

President Trump released a statement welcoming the decision, and added that “any attempt to target American, Israeli or allied personnel for prosecution will be met with a swift and vigorous response.”

Dear American left wing Jews

You need to understand that when Israelis worry about ‘dangers, threats and extremism,’ they’re thinking about Palestinian terrorists

By the Times of Israel, Uri Pilichowski, Author, Educator and Father- Brother to All

We love you. You are our brothers and sisters. We know that Israelis have disappointed you in elections this week but please don’t take it personally. Israeli votes were about Israel, not you. You were energized by Prime minister Rabin’s Oslo peace process. He brought a new dreamlike optimism to Israel. No longer would Israel be at war. Israel’s safety would be secured through diplomacy instead of war. While it stalled under Prime Minister Netanyahu, the peace process was slightly resuscitated under Prime Ministers Barak and Olmert. Understandably, you feel let down. The peace process is all but dead and the loudest voices in Israel are silent on peace with the Palestinians.

This week’s election results must seem like a rejection of your values. You’ve expressed concern over Israeli priorities and it looks like we’re ignoring you. Very few Israeli parties talked about the religious pluralism you hold so dear. The Western Wall deal, conversions, and marriage were hardly mentioned in the campaign. Israel seems to be embracing racism, its darkest demons coming to the forefront. Values of equality between privilege and underprivileged doesn’t seem to be a shared value between American and Israeli Jews. Worst of all, Israelis have embraced Donald Trump. To American left wing Jews, President Trump is the vilest side of a nation. The Israeli embrace of President Trump represents the rejection of all things holy to the Jewish left.

‘1 million Palestinians to settle in Jordan under Trump plan’

T. Belman.  Its getting to look a lot like what I have been proposing for the Jordan Option.

Report says Trump peace plan includes Jordan ceding territory to Israel, settling 1 million Palestinians, forming confederation with PA.

By David Rosenberg, INN

Bolton, Pompeo, Trump

A report released Friday morning claims that the soon-to-be released Middle East peace plan drawn up by the Trump administration – dubbed the “Deal of the Century” – includes large-scale resettlement of Palestinian Arabs in Jordan, the ceding of Jordanian territory to Israel, and the formation of a tripartite confederation between Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel’s Civil Administration to administer Judea and Samaria.

According to the report, published by the Beirut-based Al-Akhbar, sources in Jordan and Egypt say that the much-anticipated peace plan would include a broad regional agreement, with a number of Arab states taking an active role in the deal.

US Democratic lawmakers warn Netanyahu against sovereignty

Four US Democratic lawmakers warn against sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, stress importance of two-state solution.

By Elad Benari, Canada, 12/04/19 21:14

Four top US Democratic lawmakers on Friday warned Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu not to apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, AFP reported.

Netanyahu last week said in a television interview that he will apply Israeli sovereignty over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria if he is re-elected. Netanyahu’s Likud party won 36 seats in this week’s Knesset elections.

Earlier this week Netanyahu said that he had already begun laying the groundwork for annexation, and had broached the idea with senior Trump administration officials, adding that the process hadn’t been implemented yet because it “takes time”.

Pres Reagan understood that Jordan was Palestine

JNS.org – Since Ronald Reagan is by far the president most admired by Republicans in modern times, perhaps GOP leaders and members of Congress should remind the current president of Reagan’s long-forgotten proposal for Israeli-Arab peace.

I’m not talking about the awful plan that was foisted upon Reagan in 1982 by US Secretary of State George Shultz and other senior officials, whose attitude towards Israel was lukewarm at best.

I’m referring to the amazing speech that then-presidential nominee Reagan delivered to the B’nai B’rith International convention in Washington, D.C., on September 3, 1980.

Legal Affairs: A win to end all his troubles?

Can Netanyahu’s decisive election victory help save him from being forced out of office when the final indictment comes down?

BY YONAH JEREMY BOB, JPOST,  APRIL 12, 2019

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu beat Benny Gantz – the specter of possible illegalities or unsafe decisions he may have made relating to Case 3000, the “Submarines Affair.”

Anyone who supported Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not care about any of the criminal cases he is facing, or at least viewed his positives as trumping any concerns they have regarding those cases.

Yet, what was truly revelatory about the election results was not merely that his supporters did not care that he was being investigated. We already knew this from polls over recent years from when the police were already going after the prime minister.

Rather, it was that they still did not care even when a Netanyahu admirer like Avichai Mandelblit, who also happens to be the final decider as attorney-general, had made it clear that he will indict the prime minister. They do not even care that Netanyahu may be forced out of office in around a year or less due to the charges.

NATO in Crisis

By Frank Hawkins, AMERICAN THINKER

In 1949, with the debris of WWII still clogging German cities, Western nations led by the United States and Great Britain formed the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The primary purpose of the alliance was to provide a multinational shield  against Soviet aggression.

Today the alliance itself is threatened, with President Trump rightly accusing Germany and other members of not living up to their pledges to support the pact. Of the 28 members of NATO, only seven are paying the required 2% of GDP to support the alliance. The United States weighs in with a hefty 3.39% while Germany, the second largest economy in the alliance, is only contributing 1.36%.

After being called out by Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel promised that Germany would begin increasing its defense contributions reaching an initial plateau of 1.5% by 2024.

Democrats’ war on Netanyahu isn’t compatible with a pro-Israel stance

By seeking to override or ignore the will of Israeli democracy, they are accelerating the breakdown of the rapidly eroding bipartisan consensus in favor of the Jewish state.

Jonathan S. Tobin

When leaders of Tammany Hall—the legendary Democratic machine that ran New York City for more than a century—would be confronted with an occasional electoral setback, their usual response was to deride it by claiming that if their handpicked candidates didn’t win, then “it ain’t democratic.”

That’s pretty much the reaction of much of the Democratic Party to the results of Israel’s election. Prominent Democrats have greeted the victory of the man who was the bitter foe of President Barack Obama and, just as bad, the close friend and ally of President Donald Trump with a mixture of dismay and horror.

More to the point, they view the judgment of Israel’s voters—the majority of whom voted for either Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party or other slates that were pledged to support his bid to lead the next government—as not merely wrong, but contrary to what is good for their country.

“Everyone knows” … but everyone’s wrong

By Victor Rosenthal

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen Judea and Samaria referred to as “occupied Palestinian territories,” and Jewish settlements there called “illegal under international law.” But the territories are not “Palestinian,” they are not “occupied,” Jewish communities there are not illegal, and Israel is not oppressing millions of Palestinians who also live there.

PM Netanyahu’s promise to extend Israeli sovereignty to the settlements – and not, by the way, “to annex the West Bank” as so many headlines have it – has re-ignited debate about these issues. But nothing’s changed. Here are some popular but false statements about Judea/Samaria and the Jewish communities that have been established there:

INTO THE FRAY: Restoring Jewish Sovereignty

By Martin Sherman

I am going to extend sovereignty and I don’t distinguish between settlement blocs and the isolated settlements…From my perspective, any point of settlement is Israeli, and we have responsibility, as the Israeli government. I will not uproot anyone, and I will not transfer sovereignty to the Palestinians. – Benjamin Netanyahu, Channel 12, April 6. 2019.

In a significant departure from his usual ambivalent and non-committal policy formulation regarding the final status of the territories of Judea-Samaria (a.k.a. “West Bank”), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came out with an unexpectedly robust and unequivocal statement of intent just a few days prior to the April 9 election.

Last Saturday, Channel 12 interviewer, Rina Matzliah, fired an almost taunting question at Netanyahu, asking him why, given the fact that he had a largely compliant government domestically, and a firmly supportive administration in Washington, he had not done more to extend Israeli sovereignty over Judea-Samaria. In response, the Prime Minister announced that that was precisely what he intended to—if reelected in the elections that were due to be held the following Tuesday.

Arrogant leftists claim to be “morally superior” to justify violation of Israeli Democracy through Supreme Court judicial activism

by Ezequiel Doiny

“Inside every progressive is a Totalitarian screaming to get out”.  -David Horowitz

On May 23, 2013 Daniel Greenfield wrote in Frontpage Magazine “There is a characteristic feature to tyranny. It isn’t the scowling faces of armed guards or the rusting metal of barbed wire fences. It isn’t the black cars of the secret police or the prison camps surrounded by wastelands of snow.

The defining characteristic of tyranny is the diversion of power from the people to the unelected elite. The elite can claim to be inspired by Allah or Marx; it can act in the name of racial purity or universal workers compensation or both. The details don’t matter, because in all instances, tyranny derives its justification from the superiority of the rulers and the inferiority of the people.
