The two-faced women who hate Israel – and Jews

Now that she has attacked Elliot Abrams, I wonder where Representative Ilhan Omar stands on the issue of FGM given that she is a Somali-American and the practice is pandemic among Somalis. No one has asked her about it publicly. I am asking her here.

Prof. Phyllis Chesler, INN

Many Westerners seem to believe that oppressed Muslim, Hindu, or Sikh women are by definition, frightened, submissive, peaceful, and quiet.

Is this true of face-masked or hijab-wearing women who purposely stand right next to other women at prayer and who blow them and their young children right up?

How quiet were the young women in hijab who refused to allow Nonie Darwish to speak at Wellesley by repeatedly coughing loudly, then getting up, one by one, to leave their row and the room, only to return to continue their demonstration?

Netanyahu: Something amazing happened here

PM touts public relations with Arab leaders at Warsaw conference.

By Yoni Kempinski, INN

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu considers the international conference which took place in Warsaw this week to be a success and a sign of the diplomatic progress Israel has made in the Middle East.

“I can reveal that something happened here. Of the five Arab foreign ministers who spoke, four spoke out against Iran and spoke of Israel’s right to defend itself. They talked about the fact that once the main issue was the Palestinian issue, but today they said that the Iranian issue should be at the top. When I spoke yesterday, they did not leave, they sat. They did not just sit. They did not just nod. here are many contacts, but here there was something public with a group picture,” Netanyahu said.

For the ACLU, Antipathy to Israel Trumps Antidiscrimination

Laws against boycotting the Jewish state are patterned after those that protect gays and lesbians.

By Eugene Kontorovich, WSJ

Graffiti in support of boycotting Israel in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Nov. 3, 2018.

The ACLU’s latest target is the Combatting BDS Act, which passed the Senate last week 77-23. The bill is quite modest compared with the anti-BDS measures enacted in 26 states in recent years, which the ACLU is also challenging. Those laws prohibit state contracts with, and investment in, companies that boycott Israel-connected firms. The federal Combating BDS Act would simply declare that the state laws don’t violate U.S. foreign policy.

Despite the bipartisan support the bill enjoyed in the Senate and overwhelming approval of the underlying state legislation, it faces a difficult road in the House, where radical Democrats are united against it. Read more…

Iran’s 40 Years of Darkness

Tehran’s behavior gives the lie to the idea that it matches conciliation with conciliation. It matches conciliation with contempt.

From its beginning 40 years ago this week, the Islamic Republic of Iran has enjoyed the generous benefit of the doubt from credulous observers in the West. History hasn’t been kind to their sympathy.

“The depiction of him as fanatical, reactionary and the bearer of crude prejudices seems certainly and happily false,” wrote Princeton’s Richard Falk of the Ayatollah Khomeini in an op-ed for The Times on Feb. 16, 1979. “Having created a new model of popular revolution based, for the most part, on nonviolent tactics, Iran may yet provide us with a desperately-needed model of humane governance for a third-world country.”

Hang Arafat Irfaiya!

By Vic Rosenthal

Arafat Irfaiya is the monster that raped, murdered and mutilated a beautiful 19-year old girl last week because she was a Jew living in Eretz Yisrael. He is guilty of crimes against the Jewish people, and he should be executed for them.

There is a law in Israel that prescribes the death penalty for crimes against the Jewish people committed during WWII or “the period of the Nazi regime.” The limitation to the Nazi period is illogical and should be removed. Murdering Jews, qua Jews, in 2019 is not different than doing it in 1943. Murdering them in order to try to destroy the Jewish state is a crime against the Jewish people no less than deporting them to Auschwitz.

The Furies in Congress

By Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY

In ancient Greek mythology the Furies are the three goddesses of Vengeance, Jealousy, and Anger. They are the daughters of Mother Earth Gaia and her son Father Sky Uranus. The Furies are infamous for taking vengeance on men and punishing all crimes including breaking the rules of society by striking the offenders with madness.

The Furies in ancient mythology dispensed vigilante justice and were the “guardians of the law when the state had not yet intervened or did not exist, or when the crime was a crime of ethics and not actual law.” Here is the problem – we don’t live in ancient Greece and we are not characters in a mythological story. We live in the United States of America, the greatest experiment in liberty and individual freedom the world has ever known.

Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib and the normalizing of Jew-hatred in America

A powerful statement that needs to be seriously considered by all Americans has been issued by Rabbi Aryeh Spero, spokesman for the National Conference on Jewish Affairs

“It is becoming more obvious by the day–even by the tweet-hour–that newly elected Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is anti-Semitic and is peddling her anti-Israel and anti-Jewishness through the well-known and effective drip-by-drip method.

It is a strategy, as we have seen from Islamists in Europe, where an anti-Israel or anti-Jewish statement is made and then partially retracted after an uproar. It is repeated multiple times, followed by multiple half-hearted retractions with the goal and effect being the slow but inevitable seepage of anti-Jewish caricatures into the country’s political discourse and into the minds of its people.

In Warsaw, Dream of Arab NATO Against Iran Shows Its Cracks

The drift between the U.S. and European countries over the nuclear deal may not be resolved, but a photo-op for Netanyahu alongside Arab leaders could bolster diplomatic ties

The American, European, Arab and Israeli summit being held on Thursday in Warsaw is intended to build an international coalition to apply pressure on Iran and force countries who refuse to take part in American sanctions U.S President Donald Trump imposed on Iran in November to participate. But for now, this summit is more like a party and many of those invited have arrived wearing a mask to block bad odors.

The star of the summit was supposed to be Iran, but the deep disagreements between some of the European countries and the Trump administration on the question of sanctions has caused some participants, such as Germany and France, to send low level representatives. The British foreign minister announced he would be present for only a short time; Turkey, an important member of NATO and an ally of Iran, will not send a representative and said that the Turkish embassy in Warsaw would follow the events of the conference. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman and Israel will be represented by high level delegations of heads of state, prime ministers and foreign ministers – while Egypt will be represented its deputy foreign minister.

Saudi Prince Turki to Israeli TV: Netanyahu deceiving Israel about peace chances

T. Belman.  The Saudis are doing everything in their power to ensure that Bibi doesn’t get reelected.  They have vasilated between supporting Trump’s peace deal or rejecting it.  But while they presently reject it, their support is not crucial. Either is the support of King Abdullah or Abbas.

It will happen anyway regardless if they are against it or not.

Veteran diplomat, in unprecedented interview, says Riyadh wants to ‘get our point across directly’ to Israelis: Solve the Palestinian issue and then ‘we can go far’

In an unprecedented interview with an Israeli TV station broadcast Wednesday, the former Saudi intelligence chief and ex-ambassador to the US and UK accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deceiving the Israeli public by claiming that Israeli ties with the wider Arab world can be warmed without the Palestinian issue being solved.

“Israeli public opinion should not be deceived into believing that the Palestinian issue is a dead issue,” Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud told Israel’s Channel 13 news in a lengthy interview in London. “From the Israeli point of view, Mr. Netanyahu would like us to have a relationship, and then we can fix the Palestinian issue. From the Saudi point of view, it’s the other way around.”

Two prominant Jewish activists take Ilhan Omar on

Forget Ilhan Omar; pay attention to her Jewish support system

By Yisroel Medad

Mostly on social-media platforms, but in mainstream media outlets as well, Jews have been trying to extend her support, justify her spew and ratchet up the anti-Semitic poison.

Freshman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar from Minnesota is only part of the story of the colonialist settling of anti-Semitism in the highest echelons of the American democratic power system. Her financial support from CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror financing trial, a group she raised money for, is readily available for those who seek information. And they’ve begun right now generating financial support for her 2020 campaign. Her disingenuous disguising of her BDS support was published. Her obvious anti-Semitism is not new.

Ted Cruz Offers Brilliant Way To Pay for Wall

Ted Belman. I wrote to Trump suggesting that Israel would be willing to make a gift to Making America Great Again in the sum of the $5.8 billion to pay for this phase of the wall. I suggested that Israel could borrow the money thereby increasing her very low Debt to GDP ratio from 64% to 68%. This higher ratio would still compare very favourably with America’s 105%, UK’s 87.7% and France’s 97%

Of coarse if America wanted to thank Israel for the gift she could always assist in providing inducements to the Palestinians to emigrate.

By Ben Marquis, CONSERVATIVE TRIBUNE

As Democrats have avoided providing funding for walls or barriers as part of President Donald Trump’s priority effort to secure the southern border, some Republicans who support the construction of a border wall have sought out alternative means to obtain the necessary funding.

Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz actually devised a rather ingenious plan last year that would utilize the forfeited and seized assets of Mexican drug cartel leaders to help pay for improved border security measures, especially barriers, fencing and walls, where necessary.

Guaidó adviser: Israel can help us remove Hezbollah, Iran

Exclusive to Israel Hayom: Senior Venezuelan opposition member says presence of Iran, Hezbollah and other terrorist elements in the country “is very concerning. … Israel can help us establish the necessary apparatuses to contend with this problem.”

By Eldad Beck, News Agencies and Israel Hayom Staff  13/02/2019

Juan Guaidó gestures to supporters during a march against the Maduro regime, in Caracas, Tuesday

A senior member of Venezuela’s opposition, which supports interim President Juan Guaidó, told Israel Hayom on Tuesday that the presence of Iran, Hezbollah and other Arab terrorist elements in the country “is very concerning” to the democratic opposition and will pose an “immense challenge” to the new government after the socialist regime of Nicolás Maduro is ousted.

“We are presently formulating policy pertaining to defending Venezuela’s internal security and are looking for help and advice,” the senior official said. “And Israel can help us establish the necessary apparatuses to contend with this problem when the political change in Venezuela realized.”

A watershed moment – TIME FOR THE DEATH PENALTY

Lt. Col. (ret.) Meir Indor in the head of the Almagor Terror Victims Association, ISRAEL HAYOM

The diabolical smile on the face of Ori Ansbacher’s killer as he sat inside the courthouse is a call to the Israeli public, the judicial system and the prosecution. The murder that shocked an entire country should be a watershed moment for the State of Israel in the war on lone-wolf terrorism. Having been caught alive, the killer’s trial can also be an opportunity for the State of Israel to make clear it has changed its approach. To that end, the legal proceedings must be handled by a military court that has the authority to issue a death sentence as well as ensure the entire legal arsenal is exhausted against the terrorist. The time has come for the judicial system to engage in some serious introspection.

IISS vs   INSS: David vs Goliath – Part III

By Martin Sherman, IISS

Two weeks ao, I began a series of comparative analyses between our hard-pressed IISS and the well-heeled INSS, highlighting the huge imbalance in the resources that we each have at our disposal to advance our respective agendas—see here & here for last two week’s analysis.

But the difference is not only in the massive imbalance in resources but in the substance of the countervailing policy paradigms that each institute endorses.
