A key institute run by the American Jewish Committee, one of the largest Jewish advocacy organizations in the world, continues to maintain ties with the leader of a Danish party that recently joined a new European-wide far-right alliance.

The alliance – which includes Matteo Salvini’s anti-immigrant League party in Italy, Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally in France and the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) – was formed in anticipation of the European Union parliamentary elections later this month.

The convoluted politics behind the Government that is shaping up

WE DO NOT know what else Netanyahu has promised, but he must now be facing several dilemmas.

BY SUSAN HATTIS ROLEF, JPOST

THE FALSE narratives about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also make the establishment of a unity government with the Center-Left impossible. (photo credit: MARC ISRAEL SELLEM/THE JERUSALEM POST)

Back in February, several days after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu coerced the joint Bayit Yehudi/National Union list – headed by party leaders Rabbi Rafi Peretz and Bezalel Smotrich – to run in a single list with the Kahanist Otzma Yehudit, called the Union of Right-wing Parties (URP), a friend of mine who is a registered member of the Likud said to me in a mocking voice: “Bibi has certainly taught you guys a lesson in politics.”

Several days ago, he admitted that Netanyahu’s “lesson” had not been thought out to the end since, even though he managed to “save” five mandates for the right – by getting URP to pass the qualifying threshold – he lost the four mandates of the New Right, headed by Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked, who would most probably have passed the qualifying threshold if URP had not been formed.

New coalition plans major limitations on Supreme Court power

Likud, United Right, document includes banning Supreme Court from overturning laws, Attorney General from tying Knesset members’ hands.

ARUTZ SHEVA

Swearing in the 21st Knesset

The Likud and United Right parties’ negotiating teams drafter a 16-section document detailing the reforms the upcoming government is expected to make to the legal and justice system.

According to Israel Hayom, the new coalition will pass the Override Clause, allowing the Knesset to reinstate laws overturned by the Supreme Court. The clause will be based on the Basic Law: Human Dignity and Liberty.

Another section details changes in how judges are appointed, making the government the body responsible for choosing judges and adding a hearing before their appointment.

Jordan wary of Trump’s plan to label Muslim Brotherhood terrorist body

ARTICLE SUMMARY
Jordanian King Abdullah seems keen to unite the domestic front ahead of the unveiling of the US peace plan, despite past differences with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Supporters of the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic Action Front hold Palestinian flags and shout slogans during a rally to mark the 70th anniversary of the Nakba in the Jordan Valley, Sweimeh, Jordan, May 11, 2018.

As the US administration looks into the possibility of designating the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, one of the countries that will feel the backlash — if that decision is made — will be Jordan. The Muslim Brotherhood is represented in parliament through its political arm, the Islamic Action Front (IAF), which has allied itself since 2016 with nationalist figures in a broad coalition. Al-Islah bloc is now the largest opposition group in the Lower House with 16 members.

Two Saudi oil tankers damaged in ‘sabotage attack,’ says press agency

By Ben Westcott, CNN

Saudi Arabia said on Monday that two of its oil tankers had been sabotaged off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, in attacks it described as posing a threat to the security of global oil supplies.

Tensions have risen in the oil-rich region in recent weeks amid the deployment of a growing number of United States military assets to the Middle East due to deteriorating relations with Iran.
On Thursday, the US Maritime Administration issued an advisory warning that “Iran or its proxies” could be targeting commercial vessels and oil production infrastructure in the region.

Nationalist Poles protest restitution of Jewish property

In one of the largest anti-Jewish demonstrations in recent times, Polish protesters accuse Washington of putting “Jewish interests” over the interests of Poland. U.S. has no right to interfere in Polish affairs, demonstrators say.

by News Agencies and Israel Hayom Staff

Nationalist Poles protest restitution of Jewish property

Hundreds of far-right supporters marched in Warsaw on Saturday to protest a U.S. law on the restitution of Jewish property seized during or after World War Two, an issue that has increasingly featured in campaigns for upcoming Polish elections.

Shouting “No to claims!” and “This is Poland, not Polin,” using the Hebrew word for Poland, demonstrators marched from the prime minister’s office to the U.S. Embassy in central Warsaw.

Rafal Pankowski, a sociologist who heads the anti-extremist group Never Again, called the march “probably the biggest openly anti-Jewish street demonstration in Europe in recent years.”

A Memo to Jared

By Dr. Alex Joffe and Dr. Asaf Romirowsky. BESA

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: A recent report indicates that President Trump’s son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner suggested that then Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and other policy makers read a January 2018 Wall Street Journal piece regarding the cutoff of American funding for UNRWA, the international agency for Palestinian ‘refugees.’ As authors of the piece referenced in the leak, we are flattered. With the administration’s much discussed peace plan to be announced in June, let us offer some last minute suggestions.

Information regarding President Trump’s “plan of the century” is vague, with Kushner and other administration sources saying only that it will require “compromises from both sides” and that in the words of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, it will “represent a significant change from the model that’s been used.”

AS I SEE IT: Doing what comes naturally – The West’s suicidal impetus

A number of British media outlets led their reports with the false accusation that a pregnant Gazan woman and her 14-month-old baby had been killed by the Israeli strikes.

BY MELANIE PHILLIPS, JPOST

As around 700 rockets rained down on southern Israel last weekend, leaving four Israelis dead and many more wounded, many in Western media  were doing what comes naturally to them – suspending the normal rules of journalism to distort, twist or lie.

The usual, fundamental errors littered their reports – such as that Gaza was “occupied,” regardless of the fact that Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005.

There was the usual reversal of aggressor and victim, with sly implications of moral equivalency between Arab attack and Israeli defense.

Kirk: Trump’s Greatest Show of Power Lies in His Reluctance to Use Power

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo canceled a trip to Berlin this week and instead made an abrupt visit to Iraq.

There he met with the Iraqi Prime Minister and President to brief them on the latest U.S intelligence regarding threatening behavior from the Iranians.

Up to this point, it has not been publicly disclosed what intelligence personnel believe the Iranians are doing that has administration officials concerned. There are unconfirmed reports that Iran may be moving short-range ballistic missiles onto boats in the Persian Gulf.

Mike Cernovich: ‘All These Never Trump People Are on Qatar’s Payroll’

By Robert Kreychick, BREITBART

Mike Cernovich noted how various Never Trump news media figures are beneficiaries of state funding from Qatar, further commenting on their roles as part of the Islamist state’s broader information campaign — including Al-Jazeera and AJ+ — directed at shaping American public opinion. He offered his analysis on Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Dailywith host Alex Marlow.

“The Brookings Institute and all these Never Trump people are on the Qatari payroll,” said Cernovich. “Al-Jazeera and AJ+ propagandize Americans every day. Most people, when they’re sharing memes from AJ+, don’t realize that that is propaganda, and that it is propaganda from a terrorist nation.”

Islam and the Tweedle Dems

I present a guest column by a fierce and eloquent campaigner against Islam and its creeping conquest of America, Amil Imani. This is appropriate on the occasion of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi allowing the opening prayer in the House of Representatives to be read by an antisemetic Muslim, Imam Omar Suleiman. . This is a “soft” victory of Islam’s goal of Islamizing America. CAIR must be doing victory laps to celebrate this coup. See this startling news item.  Edward Cline

By Amil Imani

Marxist Democrats is commonly described as a marriage of convenience, where Muslims will ally with leftist politicians, who will joyfully yield some of their authority to this group of enforcers so principled conservative politicians and Christians who advocate sane social policies are kept out of office. To acquire power has always been the goal of the Democrat party.

While America is in hibernation, Muslim organizations with the help of Democrats have been busy, working “stealthily” to change America into what is called “soft jihad.”  Soft jihad is practiced where Muslims are not strong enough to unsheathe the sword of jihad, where the true nature of Islam is exposed and when the public would likely stamp them out.  A critical tool of soft jihad involves penetration of the American educational system, such as Da’wa, the religious duty of each Muslim to convert non-Muslims and strengthen the Islamic Ummah.

Jordan Peterson: When the left goes too far — the dangerous doctrine of equity

They don’t care that there are well-documented reasons for unequal outcomes in occupational choice and pay in addition to whatever role genuine prejudice plays

By Jordan Peterson, NATIONAL POST

In this occasional series, Jordan Peterson writes from his international speaking tour for his book, 12 Rules for Life.

The mantra of Diversity, Inclusivity and Equity (DIE) perhaps constitutes the primary identifying factor of the tiny minority of radical collectivist ideologues that nonetheless have come to dominate the humanities and social sciences in Western universities (and, increasingly, the HR departments of corporations). Of these three, equity is the most egregious, self-righteous, historically-ignorant and dangerous. “Equity” is a term designed to signal “equality,” in some manner, and is a term designed to appeal to the natural human tendency toward fairness, but it does not mean the classic equality of the West, which is equality before the law and equality of opportunity.

Equality before the law means that each citizen will be treated fairly by the criminal justice and judicial systems regardless of their status — and that the state recognizes that each individual has an intrinsic value which serves as a limit to state power, and which the polity must respect. There is likely no more fundamental presumption grounding our culture.

IRAN’S PLAN FOR ATTACKING U.S. WILL FAIL

By Mark Langfan, INN

Iran’s “Non-Nuke EMP and Swarm” anti-US Fleet attack is doomed to failure as the US deploys its weaponry.

It is a well-known military cautionary adage that: Loose lips sink ships.  However, this time the “loose-lips” of a high-ranking cleric in the Iranian government following Israel’s alerting the US that there is an escalation in the works, may have warned America of Iran’s exact attack plan against the US Battle Carrier Group in the Persian/Arabian Gulf.

Given the warning, America will have likely already deployed nuclear armed submarines which would respond to any attack against the Carrier Group with an annihilation counter-attack.  Hence, the Iranian cleric’s “loose lips” may have very well saved America’s ships.

Trump’s Policy on Iran Is Working

By Caroline Glick, BREITBART

The Associated Press

Media analysts and Obama administration officials are working overtime to blame President Donald Trump for Iran’s decision, announced Wednesday, to breach key limitations on its nuclear operations that Teheran had accepted in 2015 in the framework of the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), otherwise known as the nuclear deal.

Had Trump not withdrawn from the JCPOA, and had he not adopted and implemented an alternative policy of maximum pressure on Iran, then Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s announcement on Wednesday that Iran is ending its compliance with key provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal would never have been made, they argue.

That is nonsense.

Should the U.S. be the Policeman of the World?

By Raoul Lowery Contreras, AMERICAN THINKER

Ever since the first shots were fired in Massachusetts Colony in 1775 by American patriots demanding independence from England, there have been two American sides to the universal quest for freedom with undecideds in between. This time the focus is on oil-rich Venezuela.

One side of America is passive, its view limited to the border, the other active and global.

Passive view: defend the United States at the Rio Grande not Baghdad. Active view: fight in Europe, Guadalcanal, Korea, Baghdad or Kabul; not in New York or Los Angeles.
