Judge Jeanine is right — Fox News is wrong

By M. Catharine Evans, AMERICAN THINKER

Fox’s newest fan is a Jew-hating member of Congress. Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is extremely grateful that Fox defended her and punished Judge Jeanine Pirro for asking a legitimate question.

On Saturday, Fox suddenly cancelled Pirro’s highly rated weekly show “Justice with Judge Jeanine.”

After “Justice” failed to appear on Fox’s upcoming weekend schedule, a spokesperson for the network refused to comment on “internal scheduling matters,” according to USA Today.

In a statement following Judge Jeanine’s opening remarks on March 9 , Fox News  “strongly condemned” Pirro’s comments about Muslim Rep. Omar.  A Muslim Fox News associate producer, Hufsa Kamal Khan, also called out Pirro asking her to stop “spreading the false narrative” that Muslim women wearing a hijab “aren’t American enough.”

The Netanyahu-Putin Meeting: What was Agreed, and What are Russia’s Intentions

By Amos Yadlin, Zvi Magen

INSS Insight No. 1149, March 18, 2019

More than two weeks after Prime Minister Netanyahu’s most recent visit to Moscow, the public lacks answers to the four most important questions that concern Israel’s relations with Russia regarding Syria and the Iranian presence there: Has the deconfliction mechanism between Russia and Israel changed since the downing of the Russian plane and the decisive turning of the tide in the Syrian civil war? Has Netanyahu managed to persuade Putin not to give Syria control over the S-300 batteries deployed on Syrian soil? Is the reduction in Israeli air strikes in Syria a result of Iran’s suspended efforts to entrench itself there, or a concession to Russia? What is the significance of the planned joint committee with Israel for the removal of “foreign forces” from Syria? In the absence of official information about the proposed committee, two possibilities can be posited to explain Russia’s objectives. One is that there is a change underway in Russia, which is tired of its intervention in Syria. The second possibility is that Russia’s interests in Syria are long term and do not take Israeli interests into account, and this poses a dangerous scenario for Israel.

Judicial Dictatorship in Israel is not Democracy

Why does Israel need judicial reform? The Court’s hearing on Otzma Yehudit is a telling example of judicial disdain for the Knesset.

By Ariel Natan Pasko, INN

With Purim and elections coming up, National Union Chairman MK Bezalel Smotrich has recently unmasked the Judicial Dictators in the Supreme Court for what they are, a largely self-appointed leftist elite that looks down on the simple Jews of Israel and their well being, more often siding with Arab terrorists and their political supporters, than with their Jewish victims.

We can also clearly see the disdain they hold for the other branch of government, the legislature, the Knesset and Knesset members, who are popularly elected by the public, as should be in a democracy, unlike the self-appointed Judiciary.

On March 6, the Central Elections Committee narrowly rejected the complaints against Otzma Yehudit’s Knesset run by a vote of 16 to 15. Afterwards, left-wing and Arab MKs filed an appeal with the Supreme Court against the candidacies of Dr. Michael Ben-Ari and Adv. Itamar Ben-Gvir of Otzma Yehudit.

Journalism’s Longest War: The New York Times Versus Zionism and Israel

Review: Jerold S. Auerbach, Print to Fit: The New York Times, Zionism and Israel: 1896-2016. Boston: Academic Studies Press, 2019.

By Professor Edward Alexander, INN

It has long been a commonplace that The New York Times, America’s “newspaper of record,” which flaunts the motto “All the News that’s Fit to Print,” failed to report the two greatest mass crimes of the twentieth century: Nazi Germany’s destruction of European Jewry and the Soviet Union’s murder of millions of Ukrainians. As Jerold Auerbach, professor emeritus of history at Wellesley College, tells the story of the Times from its late 19th century beginnings under the guidance of publisher Adolph S. Ochs of Tennessee up to the present day — a prodigious work of historical scholarship and critical analysis — the Times’ two abiding principles (almost dogmas) during this “Biblical” tenure of 120 years have been Reform Judaism and American patriotism.

Both Ochs’ religious commitment and his unswerving America First loyalty were dogmatic, and excluded sympathy with the Zionist movement. The two opposed forces came to prominence simultaneously: Theodor Herzl published The Jewish State: An Attempt at a Modern Solution of the Jewish Problem in 1897, just six months before Ochs purchased the Times, then in desperate financial straits.

The problem isn’t racism, it’s the electoral system

By Evelyn Gordon

Many Israelis are willing to tolerate a racist party in the Knesset because they fear that the alternative is a government that will make life-threatening territorial concessions. And when voters think human life is at stake, telling them to “just say no” won’t work.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s midwifing of a joint ticket that will bring a far-right extremist party into the Knesset was quickly superseded by new scandals. Yet the fundamental problem that prompted his move remains, and contrary to popular belief, that problem isn’t growing racism. Rather, it’s Israel’s electoral system.

The party in question, Otzma Yehudit, has run for Knesset several times under various names and never gotten in. On its own, it wouldn’t make it into the next Knesset either. In other words, its positions are no more popular than they ever were.

‘Israel will destroy you and we won’t do a thing to stop it’

Egyptian officials assail Hamas leaders in Gaza on Thursday night after missiles are fired at Tel Aviv during their meeting • “Even if the Israelis decide to dismantle your rule in Gaza by assassinating each and every one of you” we won’t “lift a finger.”

By Daniel Siryoti, ISRAEL HAYOM

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday, minutes after sirens blared across central Israel and a loud boom overhead shook the area, senior Egyptian intelligence officers became outraged during a meeting with Hamas officials in Gaza.

“Just so you know,” they leveled at Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh, “if Israel decides to launch a comprehensive military operation in Gaza we won’t do a thing to stop it, even if it decides to simultaneously topple Hamas and conquer the Gaza Strip.”

The US Does Not Lose Much by Withdrawing from Afghanistan

By Emil Avdaliani

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 1,114, March 17, 2019

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: In December 2018, the Trump administration announced that its military will start withdrawing roughly 7,000 troops from Afghanistan in the coming months. Though the decision seems an abrupt shift in the US’s 17-year-old war in Afghanistan, it fits into the American grand strategy of keeping Eurasia divided.

The US decision to withdraw about 7,000 troops from Afghanistan in the coming months seems to go against recent developments inside that country. Afghanistan just saw a spike in violence (terrorist attacks, etc.), largely caused by elections. It raises eyebrows on the foreign policy level, too, as Russia, Iran, and Pakistan – all of which have difficult relations with the US – will try to use the American withdrawal to their own respective advantage.

Washington’s decision is being viewed by many (quite correctly) with consternation, as the withdrawal of these troops can be regarded as a continuation of a major trend under the Trump administration: withdrawal from major treaties and global responsibilities the US has had for decades, since the end of the Cold War. The decision follows a similar one on Syria, where the US plans to reduce its military presence to a minimum. Together, these moves conjure the idea of a global retreat by the US.

THE RED MAGA HAT DID IT

By Valerie Sobel

The killings of 49 innocent people in a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Friday sent shockwaves through anyone with a heart. To a normal human being it made no difference whether the victims were Muslim, Christian, Jewish, white, brown or polka-dot. But not to the Media!

The liberal Media couldn’t wait to wave its politically correct index finger at the white man’s collective guilt and scream “Islamophobia!”. With victims all Muslim, all MSM needed was a non-Muslim killer. Their hope of erasing more than 31,000 acts of lethal terror by Muslims across the world since 9/11 would certainly be realized by this singular act of derangement, as long as the bad guy was white-skinned.

Turkey Is Lying About Fighting ISIS

Erdogan promises to finish America’s fight against the Islamic State, but it’s the Kurds that he’s out to destroy.<

By Steven a Cook, FOREIGN POLICY

Last summer I wrote a piece for Foreign Policy called “Trump Is the First President to Get Turkey Right.” Some of my colleagues and friends thought I’d gone quite mad as the U.S. president brought his ferocious Twitter feed to bear on Turkish officials and Turkey’s economy. It was not, of course, the intemperate tweets that I was applauding, but the willingness of the Trump administration to bring public pressure on Ankara over a variety of issues—whether the arrest and unjust imprisonment of American citizens, the targeting of journalists, the intention to buy advanced weapons from Russia, or the threats at U.S. soldiers serving in Syria. When Andrew Brunson, a North Carolina pastor who had been in Turkish custody for two years, was released in October, it confirmed for me that playing hardball with Turkey was superior to the intensive private diplomacy that previous administrations had tried with Ankara.

Let’s Get Serious About What Constitutes a National Emergency

By Linda Goudsmit, PUNDICITY

Let’s get serious. If hundreds of thousands of unvetted illegal aliens storming our southern border is not a national emergency what is?

Leftists don’t consider open borders a national emergency because they welcome illegal hordes into America to overwhelm the welfare system, collapse the economy, and vote illegally to insure one-party Democrat dominance. It is their preferred road to destroying America from within and imposing socialism.

Sharia compliant Muslims do not consider it a national emergency because hundreds of thousands of their sharia compliant Muslim Brotherhood brethren are pouring in determined to replace our Constitution with sharia law and establish an Islamic caliphate on United States soil.

Drug dealers do not consider open borders a national emergency because their product can be brought into the country easily without fear of incarceration.

Pompeo Heads to Israel Ahead of Contested Election

In talks with Israelis, Arab leaders Pompeo aims to bring fight to Hezbollah

By Adam Kredo, FREE BEACON

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is scheduled to head to Israel next week ahead of a contested Israeli election that is seen as no guarantee for longtime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The timing of Pompeo’s trip has generated much speculation about whether he is throwing the Trump administration’s support behind Netanyahu as he is locked in the race of his political career, an election being followed closely across the Middle East as it could reshape the Jewish state’s government at a critical juncture in the United States’s regional fight to thwart Iran and its terrorist proxies.

Pompeo, State Department officials said, has no plan to wade into Israel’s election, with sources saying his talks with Netanyahu and other senior Israeli diplomats will focus on the destabilizing role Hezbollah plays in Lebanon, another country Pompeo is slated to visit while in the region.

OK, I’m Angry…I’m Tired of The Stupid Left!

By Ray DiLorenzo, STAND UP AMERICA

I am sick and tired of the Left in this country. They are a bunch of cry babies with the intelligence of a gnat. They preach love and tolerance and hate everyone.

I am sick and tired of secular liberal college professors, who couldn’t survive 24 hours in the real world, telling me how to live. They say they teach higher education when, in reality, it’s lower education than my grade school. They are so dumb that they haven’t even figured out that in a world they would create, they would be the first eliminated.

I am sick and tired of being told we are all going to die in 12 years if we don’t do exactly what the Left says…give up electricity, air conditioning, flying, and the cars in my garage…especially by people who don’t know squat about the subject matter. Many of the so-called climatologists that have signed on to the insanity just want to keep their funding.

AS I SEE IT: The British in the wilderness as Brexit Crises Explodes

The Brexit debacle has crucial lessons for the rest of the West, as well as for Israel and Diaspora Jews.

BY MELANIE PHILLIPS, JPOST

What in the name of heaven, you may well ask, is going on in Britain? Why is the Brexit issue causing a political nervous breakdown? And should any of this matter to anyone else?

In answer to the last question, yes it should. The Brexit debacle has crucial lessons for the rest of the West, as well as for Israel and Diaspora Jews.

Given the pace of unprecedented shocks at Westminster, by the time you read this the Brexit crisis may have veered off in yet another direction. At time of writing, however, the situation is this:

In 2016, the British voted in a referendum to leave the European Union. The withdrawal deal subsequently struck with the EU by UK Prime Minister Theresa May was widely considered so atrocious it was massively defeated in Parliament.

Russia’s Pipe Dreams Are Europe’s Nightmare:  Dimitar Bechev, Foreign Policy, Mar. 12, 2019 — In the ongoing showdown between Russia and the West, Russia has a trump card: natural gas exports.
Local and Geopolitics Intrude in Israel’s Attempt to Supply Europe With Gas:  Joseph Dana.Euractiv.com, Mar. 12, 2019 — Usually positioned on the margins of the Middle East’s complex energy politics, Israel now is a legitimate player in its own right.
Russia’s Perpetual Quest for Military Modernization:  Emil Avdaliani, BESA, February 26, 2019 — When we consider the remaining years of the 2010s and look forward into the 2020s, we can clearly see that Russia’s decline in terms of technology, the knowledge economy, and the economy, in general, will continue to be the dominant trend.

Why the USA Should Recognize the Golan Heights as Part of Israel

On March 12, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) announced that he, along with his colleague Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), will lobby the Trump administration to recognize the Golan Heights as sovereign Israeli territory “now and forever.”  In response, Martin Indyk, the former ambassador to Israel under President Clinton and special Middle East envoy under President Obama, stated that “like it or not, the Golan Heights are Syrian territory.”

Indyk is wrong.  The United States should adopt Graham’s view and recognize the Golan Heights as part of Israel.  Israel has a stronger claim to the Golan than Syria does.  The Golan is of essential strategic value to Israel and the free world.  And given increased threats, that value has only appreciated.

The Deceiver’s Disciple,

by Tabitha Korol

Muslims lie not because they are liars by nature but by choice. Systematic lying as a religious policy is deadly, and if our politicians do not understand this, thousands could die. – Don Boys, Ph.D.

The mission of the jihadi/jihada (one who engages in holy “war with non-Muslims to establish the religion”) is to bring Islamic law, sharia, to the world, whether through peaceful or violent means, and Ilhan Omar has dutifully begun her vocation for Allah, who is described in the Quran as the greatest deceiver of them all.  It goes on to say that ALL deception belongs completely to Allah, that Allah actually raises wicked individuals to deceive and scheme, and commands people to do evil so that he may then have reason to destroy them – for Islamic supremacy.  Mohammed led by example when he broke promises and treaties with three Jewish tribes, Banu Qaynuqa (624), Banu Nadir (625) and Banu Qurayza (627), and subsequently beheaded all the men, captured and enslaved the women and children, and enriched himself and his troops with the towns’ bounties.  We must therefore recognize that Omar is mandated by religious doctrine to emulate Mohammed’s deception, using any means possible against her victims to advance the Islamic ideology.  “When hate crimes against [her] and [her] followers don’t exist, they have to be invented,” to deflect attention from the jihadi onto the Muslims as victims.
