Iran attempts to get closer to its neighbors: Turkey, Pakistan, Iraq

Peloni:  Iran continues preparations for regional conflict

This is important for Iran because if there are any rising tensions, it will want the support of countries such as Turkey, Iraq, and Pakistan.

By SETH J. FRANTZMAN | MAY 25, 2025

Iran is shoring up ties with its neighbors as it continues talks with the US over its nuclear program. This is important for the Islamic Republic because, if there are any rising tensions, it will want the support of countries such as Turkey, Iraq, and Pakistan.

It is these countries that Iran has been doing outreach to in recent days.

Qatari PM compares Qatari Airplane Gift to Statue of Liberty

Peloni:  Qatar is a slave state which funds terrorism around the world, including with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran.  It also funds the antisemitic Hamas aligned protests on US college campuses which the US govt is specifically challenging.  Qatar has been caught in illicit bribery schemes in both the EU and US, most notoriously in connection to the recent Senator Menendez bribery case.  Qatar is a Wahabist Islamic state.  Their values and interests are both antithetical to and contradictory with the Western values of the US, not aligned with it.

Long standing US Policy on Jerusalem is anti-Israel and pro-Arab.

By Ted Belman,  August 2012

For the last 60 years, the US has been steadfast in its efforts to prevent Israel from exercising sovereignty over Jerusalem and declaring it to be its capital. The only possible reason for such a policy is to show deference to the oil lobby in the US. It mattered little to it, that for three thousand years, Jerusalem has only been the capital of Judea, now Israel, and is inseparable from it. Jerusalem (Zion) is mentioned over 700 times in the Torah and not once in the Koran.

Last week, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was pressed on the issue of Jerusalem. Not only was he unwilling to say the Jerusalem is the capital of Israel but he was not prepared to acknowledge that the western section of Jerusalem, which Israel conquered in the ’48 War and which lies to the west of the armistice lines, was even in Israel.

By acknowledging he was in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, Romney embraced the reality and flew in the face of a 60 year old American policy.

The response from Camp Obama was immediate.

Incitement and antisemitism in Jordanian school curriculum have worsened – report

Peloni:  An accurate depiction of history and a tolerant acceptance of the rights and dignity of Jews must be the basis of any and all peace initiatives.  Without addressing this key aspect between Israel and its neighbors, any attempt at peace will be seen to be no peace at all.  Which is why Abdullah continues to support claims of blood libels against Israel and routinely calls for violence against Israel due to false claims of attacks on religious sites.

Jordanian school books have fallen short of the standards of the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se) for some time. This year, the institute found the situation had deteriorated even further.

More Innocents Slaughtered by Arabism’s Useful Idiots, and Congresswoman Omar is left Speechless

by Gerald A. Honigman

Two beautiful young Israelis, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were about to be engaged, but were wantonly slaughtered instead by a know-nothing, dhimmi useful idiot of Arabs in their non-stop quest to deny Jews in their sole, minuscule, resurrected nation what Arabs have gained for themselves on some six million square miles of territory via 14 centuries of non-stop jihadi imperialist, colonizing, settling conquests of mostly native NON-Arab peoples’s lands: Kurds, Copts, black Africans, native, pre-Arab Lebanese, Assyrians, Amazigh/Kabyle/ “Berbers,” native ‘kilab yahud’ (Jew dogs), and so forth .

The UN acts in violation of International Law while claiming to uphold it

T. Belman. I decided to repost this important article because the title was right then and is right now.  The UNGA recently recognized the State of Palestine contrary to the Montevideo Convention which sets out the legal requirements for statehood:

The state as a person of international law should possess the following qualifications: (a) a permanent population; (b) a defined territory; (c) government; and (d) capacity to enter into relations with the other states.

At a minimum, “Palestine” does not have a “defined territory.”

Another example of the UN ignoring the law. The UN backed Oslo Accords clearly gives Israel full control of Area C.  Nevertheless the UN and its member states are financing Arab construction in Area C in total disregard of the Oslo Accords.

My 2009 article Can the UN impose a solution on Israel?  shed’s further light on the purpose of the UN

By Ted Belman (Published April 21, 2012)

The United Nations’ Human Rights Council has resorted to official enquiries as a precursor to damning Israel — the most recent of which was the Goldstone Enquiry on Cast Lead, Israel’s attack on Hamas in Gaza.  And we know how that turned out. Israel was accused of all manner of war crimes, though none were proven to have been committed.

Last week, the UNHRC passed a resolution to “dispatch an independent international fact-finding mission, to be appointed by the president of the Human Rights Council, to investigate the implications of the Israeli settlements on the civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of the Palestinian people throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.”  The resolution was based, inter alia, on a written statement produced by Badil Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights, a Palestinian NGO financed by a number of European countries.

Harvard is not what it seems – it is a Foreign Policy Tool

Peloni:  The role of Harvard as a foreign policy tool used in color revolutions around the world places it at the nexxus of both Trump’s anti-Blob campaign and its anti-antisemitism campaign.  This is a fight which he can not afford to lose.

“Harvard is essentially a foreign policy tool that merges financial markets with intelligence and statecraft to impact global policy, foreign policy and the domestic drivers of foreign policy, which includes running out a president who might oppose a foreign policy that interferes with Harvard’s bottom line.”

License to kill

Peloni:  Ignorant, dishonest and shameful, Golan’s efforts to deligitimize Netanyahu deligitimizes Israel altogether.  This is a pattern altogether common from the Left, and altogether embraced by our enemies.

It is only natural that those who hate Israel—from the halls of power to mobs in the street—will find validation, justification and even encouragement to intensify their efforts.

Analysis: Iran braces for potential conflict as 5th round of US negotiations ends inconclusively

By Janatan Sayeh | May 23, 2025

As the fifth round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington concluded in Rome, signs of progress remained elusive. Iranian state media reported on May 23 that US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steven Witkoff had left the talks prematurely. Citing two anonymous Iranian officials, CNN noted the same day that Tehran doubted the meetings would yield any agreement. An Iranian official speaking to The National on May 19 also voiced skepticism over the prospects of a breakthrough.

China Isn’t Taking Over Manufacturing, It’s Taking Over Retail

Peloni:  The writing has been on the wall for a very long time now, but self interest, corruption and globalist ideology has prevented the proper response to this all of economy assault.  Now, the same motivations which led to America surrendering its economy to China are supporting an insurrection against Trump’s policies meant to solve this catastrophe.

by Daniel Greenfield

American officials usually accuse China of trying to take over our manufacturing, but that’s old news. China took over our manufacturing long ago. And the parts it still hasn’t taken over are usually the parts that it doesn’t want or that are too uneconomical to be worth taking over.

Taking over America’s manufacturing was never China’s endgame. Taking over our economy is.

Can the UN impose a solution on Israel?

Peloni:  The topic covered in this article is what first drew my interest to Israpundit and Ted’s work some 18yrs ago.

T. Belman [Feb. 2024]. I have reposted this article from 2009 because it sheds light on the role of the UN in creating a World Government. As such it is really prescient.

The comments are also worth reading.

UN Charter: “To maintain international peace and security.”

By Ted Belman (first published in Dec 2009)

A movement is afoot to get the UN to predetermine borders between Israel and the future 23rd Arab state and to recognize “East Jerusalem” as its capital. Such predetermination would be in violation of the Roadmap which calls for a negotiated solution where “negotiated” implies freedom to say “no”. And such predetermination would prejudge the outcome which the world never tires of telling Israel, no one can do.

How do you solve a problem like Iran?

By Andrea Widburg | Am Thinker | May 24, 2025

Image created using AI.

Many pro-Israel people I know, both Jewish and non-Jewish, are deeply worried about Trump’s current Middle East positions. He’s marginalizing Israel in negotiations with Saudi Arabia, accepting on the government’s behalf a luxury plane from double-dealing Qatar, and handing money to the goons in Syria. At the same time, he’s seemingly freezing out Israel, to the great consternation of Israel and its supporters.

‘Not Conclusive’: Iran and U.S. Hold New Round of Nuclear Talks in Rome

FDD | May 23, 2025

Latest Developments

  • Uranium Impasse Remains: Iran and the United States achieved“some but not conclusive progress” during their fifth round of nuclear negotiations in Rome on May 23, according to Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi. Negotiators are at an impasse over whether Iran can keep enriching uranium or should be compelled to dismantle its enrichment capabilities completely — a key U.S. demand. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said this week that U.S. demands for full dismantlement of its enrichment program are “excessive and outrageous,” emphasizing his doubts that the talks would deliver results.

Israel is the legal owner of all lands west of the Jordan R.

by Ted Belman (First published Dec. 31, 2022)

Israel’s rights to all the land west of the Jordan River have been compromised by the Oslo Accords. Israel has agreed that notwithstanding  such rights she will negotiate a settlement with the PA whereby they get an autonomous region with the boundaries to be negotiated. This is yet another reason to terminate the Accords.

Here are some previous articles which affirm such contention.

Dehumanizing the Jews, Then and Now

by Rafael Medoff

Before Mrs. Tzeela Gez, the latest victim of Palestinian Arab terrorism, was even buried, the process of dehumanizing her was well underway.

Hananel Gez was driving his nine-months-pregnant wife to a hospital on May 14 to deliver their fourth child, when terrorists raked their car with gunfire.

The official Palestinian Authority news agency, Wafa, did not report the murder of Mrs. Gez. It did quote an Israeli cabinet minister calling for a forceful response to the attack—but it did not explain what he was responding to. That’s one way to dehumanize a victim—pretend she does not exist.

Israel’s ‘Just War’ Explained

Gil Troy | May 21, 2025

As my children donned their uniforms while going off to defend Israel, America, the West, after Oct. 7, I told them: “The morality of this war is clear. You do whatever you need to do to protect yourself, your buddies, your homeland.  I am not speaking now as a father, an Israeli, or a Jew – but as an American historian. I’ve studied how America fought in World War I and World War II, in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hamas started this war with a vicious attack. That puts the moral onus on them.
