Why Is Western Media Only Now Confronting Saudi Crimes

T. Belman. This is very problematic for Israel’s emerging relationship with s. Arabia. On the other hand it makes S. Arabia more dependant on Israel.

By Marlo Safi, NATIONAL REVIEW

Saudi Washington Post journalist goes missing and is presumed dead. Reporting suggests that he may have been savagely dismembered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in what has been described as a Pulp Fiction–style killing at the hands of the government he once servedf has become the rallying cry of Western media against the Saudi regime’s barbarism — as of last week.

COLUMN ONE: Stranding up to the elitist mob

Because while Haley was a loyal representative of the administration, she was more than a mouthpiece. She was a leader.

By Caroline Glick, JPOST

US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley’s sudden resignation this week distressed a lot of Israelis. On the face of things, the widely felt concern makes little sense. After all, Haley wasn’t a lone wolf in the Trump administration.

Then-president Barack Obama’s anti-Israel UN ambassadors Susan Rice and Samantha Power weren’t free agents when they took hostile actions and made hostile statements about Israel. They were speaking and acting as representatives of their boss, Obama.

Just so, in defending Israel by word and deed, Haley was a loyal representative of the policies of her boss, President Donald Trump.

Khashoggi and the Jewish Question

“It is certainly not in our interests to see the status of the Saudi government diminished in Washington.”

By Herb Keinon, JPOST

Here’s the rule: If some major event happens in the Middle East, it will generally have an impact on Israel.

The disappearance of Saudi government critic and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey – and the very real possibility that the Saudis either kidnapped him, killed him, or both – is no exception.

On the surface, this story seems distant from Jerusalem. Israel was not involved in any way, and even Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who never misses an opportunity to blast Israel, is not saying that Jerusalem had anything to do with it.

Nationalist rabbi: European Right no longer anti-Semitic

T. Belman. I agree.

Influential nationalist Rabbi Eliezer Melamed says Israel need not fear creating close bonds with Austrian Freedom Party and others like it.

By Gil Ronen, INN

Rabbi Eliezer Melamed

Influential nationalist rabbi, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, says the European Right is no longer anti-Semitic.

Rabbi Melamed wrote in his widely-read weekly column in Besheva Magazine Friday that Israel need not fear creating strong bonds with the European Right, including the Austrian Freedom Party, which is a member of the Austrian governing coalition.

Trauma and Dr. Ford

In examining the content of what Dr. Ford claimed was indicative of the Trauma she endured, mental health professionals would have difficulty connecting a diagnosis of Trauma to what Dr. Ford spoke about during her testimony.

By Ron Jager, INN

What differentiates Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from all other mental disorders? The difference is in its origin or what’s known as the trigger. Other such disorders, in general, are dateless, they may erupt because of genetics or a dysfunctional upbringing, or response to substance abuse, but little is known about when they actually began. With PTSD, however, there must be an event, a specific event that can be identified as related to the ensuing psychological and emotional state of an individual. With PTSD, the accompanying symptoms are easily identifiable and are related to the event or trigger.

Gaza Fuel Deal Cuts Out the Palestinian Authority

T. Belman. I believe that Trump would love to solve Gaza in conjuction with Egypt and to solve the West Bank in conjunction with Jordan. It is remarkable that Qatar, Israel, UN, Egypt and the US all agreed to this deal. My big question is, why is Qatar doing this. Secondly wherever Qatar is, Turkey is not far behind. Remember Obama favoured a ceasefire deal organized by Qatar and Turkey. Israel and Egypt preferred to go it alone and they did. Now this.

By Caroline Glick, BREITBART

This week, an event occurred that has the potential to diminish permanently the lethal potential of the Palestinian conflict with Israel.

On Tuesday, two tanker trucks each carrying 35,000 liters of diesel fuel were delivered to Gaza through Israel’s Kerem Shalom border crossing. Another seven fuel trucks were expected to enter Gaza on Wednesday. According to the Jerusalem Post, within a month, 15 such fuel trucks will enter Gaza every day.

Why does this matter?

Tuesday’s fuel shipments to Gaza were a game-changer because they marked the first time that fuel was delivered to Gaza which wasn’t paid for and authorized by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA) it controls. In fact, the PLO-controlled PA did everything it could to prevent the fuel shipments.

A New Era for the China-Russia-U.S. Triangle

By Victor Davis Hanson, NATIONAL REVIEW

The Trump administration smartly recognizes the threat posed by Beijing. It could use Russian help to head that threat off.

Nearly a half-century ago, President Richard Nixon’s secretary of state, Henry Kissinger, established a successful U.S. strategy for dealing with America’s two most dangerous rivals. He sought closer ties to both the Soviet Union, with its more than 7,000 nuclear weapons, and Communist China, with the world’s largest population.

Qatar’s war to destroy pro-Israel Jews

T. Belman. Be sure to read what I wrote in 2012. Tiny Qatar casts a giant shadow.

Some of these leaders even invited members of the Qatari royal family to their children’s weddings, all while Qatar continued to fund Hamas and spew antisemitic bile through Al Jazeera.

By Shmuley Boteach, JPOST

Qatarâ??s war to destroy pro-Israel Jews

It was the eve of Yom Kippur and I had just finished a public event on repentance at the Saban Theater in Los Angeles with my friend Roseanne Barr. The event was moderated by David Suissa, editor-in-chief of the prestigious Jewish Journal. A story suddenly broke on Bloomberg News. It said that Qatar had targeted the personal email accounts of both me and my wife to punish me for my criticism of that terrorism-funding country, Hamas’ principal patron.

Qatar, blockaded now for over a year over its sponsorship of terrorism, allegedly contracted large-scale campaigns of cyber-warfare to be waged not only against hostile countries but against critics of their regime, including private American citizens.

Dina Powell withdraws from consideration for U.S. ambassador to U.N.

T. Belman. Trump should appoint Aayan Hirsi Ali. She is one of the most amazing people in the world. Born in Somalia, a Muslim, subjected to female genital mutilation and an arranged marriage, she had the clarity and the gumption to flee. She got to Holland, went to university, got a MA in Poli Sci, wrote books and made videos about Islam, especially women under Islam. Her partner in the videos, Theo van Gogh, was murdered. by a jihadi. She was elected to the Netherlands Parliament. Eventually the government refused to continue her round-the-clock protection and she fled to the US, where she continues to tell the truth about Islam and Western policy toward Islam and Muslims. She tells the truth from her life experiences and has been banned from college campuses as an “Islamophobe” and all that PC nonsense.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Goldman Sachs (GS.N) executive Dina Powell has withdrawn from consideration to succeed Nikki Haley as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

Powell told President Donald Trump by phone that she was honored to be considered but planned to stay at Goldman Sachs, the source told Reuters.

Iran’s Imploding Strategy

by Jonathan Spyer, Jerusalem Post

The effort by the US and its allies to contain and ultimately roll back the gains made by Iran in the region over the last half decade is currently taking shape, and is set to form the central strategic process in the Middle East in the period now opening up.

New sanctions on the export of Iranian oil are due to be implemented from November 4. Israel’s campaign against Iranian entrenchment in Syria is the most important current file on the table of the defense establishment.

The devastating impact of American non-Jewish Jews

By Isi Leibler

There is no disputing that, except for the vast majority of Orthodox Jews, American Jews and their leaders have distanced themselves from their Jewish identity.

In most cases this reflects an indifference to global Jewish issues, and often, a deliberate display of contempt toward Israel and its security challenges and the belief that Israeli leaders are not willing to discard an “outdated nationalist ideology.”

Many express their Judaism by proclaiming a distorted version of “tikkun olam,” which many of their rabbis promote as an espousal of liberal and universal policies. They are totally supportive of the Democratic Party, which many Reform rabbis, in effect, promote as the contemporary embodiment of Judaism.

Haley’s departure sparks a battle for the future of Trump’s foreign policy

By Josh Rogin, WaPo

The coming departure of Nikki Haley as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations has sparked a new round of competition inside the top ranks of the Trump administration — a contest not just for a job but also for greater influence and control over the direction of U.S. foreign policy in the second half of President Trump’s first term.

On Tuesday, Haley seemed to pull off what few senior Trump administration officials so far have been able to achieve: an honorable exit. How she did it could be a model for others looking to leave the Trump team with their dignity and political viability intact. Haley organized her departure with the White House, praised Trump in a joint news conference, promised (in writing) not to challenge his political interests and thereby was able to depart on her own terms. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis must be taking copious notes.

DINA POWELL, a Valarie Jarret/ Huma Abedin pal, should not be UN Ambassidor

You don’t drain the swamp by appointing the swamp

Daniel Greenfield, FPM

President Trump came in promising to drain the swamp. Dina Powell is the swamp. You can see her out there at the Clinton Global Initiative, next to Samantha Power, palling around with Valerie Jarrett or Huma Abedin.

Dina Habib Powell was an influential figure in the Bush administration. The Egyptian-American immigrant had served as a gatekeeper for George W. Bush. If you wanted a job, you went through her. Barely 30, Habib Powell had more power than many of the big Bush era names you do know.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday indicated that his country will not agree to any change of status for the Golan Heights, which Moscow, along with the large majority of the international community, considers occupied Syrian territory.

His comments followed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s call on the international community Monday to recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, saying Russian President Vladimir Putin appreciates how important the strategic plateau is for Israel.

Trump’s peace plan for two Palestinian states kicked off by fuel trucks for Gaza

DEBKA

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu won praise from US special ME negotiator Jason Greenblatt for letting the Qatar-funded fuel trucks go through to the Gaza Strip on Oct 9.  That is because its was the first step, DEBKAfile reports, towards implementing the administration’s Israel-Palestinian peace plan, partnered with Israel and Egypt, to eventually separate the Gaza Strip from Judea and Samaria (West Bank) to form two separate Palestinian entities.

Reality check: Israeli-Palestinian Arab coexistence – the Big Lie

T. Belman. Many of Israel’s leaders, Netanyahu and Bennett included, advocate for improving the condition of the Palestinians, as a path to stability if not peace. I maintain, as does Sherman and Feiglin, that we must incentivize Palestinian emigration. Two million Palestinians, who presently live in J&S, is too many, way too many.

Our efforts must be focussed on helping them to emigrate rather than improving their economic condition so they will be stable.

Who wants Israeli-Palestinian Arab coexistence? And who most emphatically does not?

By Ariel Natan Pasko, INN

The Barkan Industrial Zone massacre, is just days old, and already the moral watchdogs of the Peace Process are wringing their hands, mourning its possible demise. “We shall not allow abominable terrorists to harm coexistence,” is the rallying cry.

President Reuven Rivlin, addressing the attack, said, “I’m appalled and distressed by the horrible terror attack carried out in the Barkan industrial area…This was an attack against the idea of Israelis and Palestinians coexisting, and living peacefully side by side. I call upon the Palestinian leadership to condemn this despicable terror attack…”

4 Reasons Why ‘Climate Change’ Is a Flat-Out Hoax

By John Eidson, AMERICAN THINKER

First, a disclaimer: I am not a climate scientist.  In fact, I am not a scientist of any kind.  But I do have a degree in electrical engineering, which I mention only to point out that I am at least as qualified as the next non-scientist to form rational opinions about global warming claims.

In obtaining my degree, I took enough classes in chemistry, physics, and geology to develop a keen appreciation of the scientific method, the best way ever devised for winnowing the truth from fakery and deception.  If taking the scientific method into account, no intelligent person can fail to see that the constant drumbeat of wild and hysterical claims about the climate are insults to the search for Truth.
