JONATHAN POLLARD: Should America Cut Aid to Israel?

Peloni:  Pollard is completely correct.  US “aid” limits Israel as a client status rather than as a full ally.  For a robust and complete analysis on this topic, please read “End US Aid To Israel” by Jacob Siegel & Liel Leibovitz.  The “aid” must be ended.

Janet Levy: We need to tell the truth about “aid” to Israel.

When U.S. officials talk about so-called “aid” to Israel, Americans need to understand that it is an investment with an unmatched ROI. Israelis build, test, modify and improve American weapons systems and supply some of the best intel in the world. Israel is NOT a drain on the U.S. budget as the value-added is nonpareil. There is NO comparison between the situation vis a vis Israel and the corruption and drain on American resources in Ukraine. THAT situation is NOT a win-win.

Trump and Putin Agree Iran Must Never Be Able to Destroy Israel

Peloni: Putin’s role in the Middle East was always intended to maintain stability, so Russia’s opposition to the destruction of Israel is not surprising, even as this remains an important statement by Putin.  The corollary to his position on stability in the Middle East, however, would also maintain a resistance to the overthrow of the Mullahs, particularly as the resulting chaos could potentially result in another wave of immigrants toward Europe and Russia.

Leaders emphasize nuclear non-proliferation and Israel’s security in major diplomatic call.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed that Iran should never be in a position to threaten or destroy Israel. The statement came during a two-and-a-half-hour call between the two leaders, during which they discussed a range of issues focused on global security and stability in the Middle East.

Israel’s Return to Gaza: Is this The Beginning of All Hell Breaking Loose?

Peloni:  This return to war in Gaza must be the last such occasion.  The Gazans must be allowed to leave, and what remains of that terror enclave and its remaining adherents must finally be destroyed, utterly and completely.  If war is to be engaged, it should be pursued with the demonstration of complete resolve, without any pause or distractions to the goal of ultimate victory.

How Russia KNOCKED OUT Ukraine From Kursk

Peloni:  The timing of this epic failure on Ukraine’s part was significant, and with the war still not ended, the question remains whether Russia will next push on into Sumy or the other surrounding territories currently held by Ukraine… all while the Ukrainian rump continues on the road of being reduced with few exceptions.

Just like Purim’s Shushan Jews, we Italian Jews are fighting back

Peloni:  The encouraged influx of unvetted Arabs coinciding with rising waves of antisemitic demonstrations and terror throughout the Western world over the past decade has placed a growing onus on Western nations to provide for the security needs of there relative Jewish communities.   Hence, it is very encouraging to read of such efforts as in Italy to secure and support their Jewish citizens at least with such security parameters as described by Rabbi Aiello which surround Italy’s synagogues.  In an age where pogroms have been incited over a recent football match in Amsterdam, the threat of violence against Jews has become all too palpable and all too acceptable amid the rising Arab demographic, making the effort of Italy to deal with their rising antisemitic attacks all the more vital.

Rabbi Barbara Aiello | TOI Blogs

It was nearly a year and a half ago following the October 7 massacre, that Italy stepped up to the challenge and offered direct physical protection to its synagogues.

In fact The European Conservative (10/9/23) reported that following the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war, several European countries have augmented police protection to Jewish communities and that Spain and Italy have now implemented a 24 hour armed police presence near their countries’ synagogues. Our synagogue, Ner Tamid del Sud, located in Calabria in Italy’s deep south is part of this program.

In other words, we Jews are fighting back.

Something has changed …

Peloni:  “Wishful thinking, they say, is not a policy.”  If nothing else was has changed, this relatively obvious statement sounds as a thunderclap between what was believed before and what is understood today…and there can be no retrograde on having learned this lesson as the costs have been, and continue to be, to great to overlook or ignore.

Despite tremendous costs on the individual level, Israelis know they are here to stay in the Middle East.

Sarah N. Stern | Mar 17, 2025

Sitting here in Israel, I ask myself if this is the same Middle East it was before Oct. 7, 2023. Yes, the war that was waged on Israel on seven fronts continues into its 17th month, and at least 59 hostages are still not home with many no longer alive.

However, something else has changed.

Trump’s New Travel Ban: Blocking Terrorists & Protecting America-43 Country Ban

Peloni:  Cohen provides an detailed explaination of the tiered travel ban which Trump has proposed.  It will of course be subjected to the wayward threat emanating from US courts which are preferring political bias rather than security and legal groundwork as the basis of their rulings, leaving an ever increasing reliance, dare I say dependence, upon the authority of the 9 members who make up SCOTUS, in preference to the chosen officials of the American people at large.

Trump Administration Releases JFK Assassination Files

Peloni:  So it took 60 days instead of 15 days as ordered by Trump for Gabbard and Bondi to release the long awaited documents on the Kennedy assassination.  Notably, the final release of the JFK files took place almost a month after Bondi’s notorious release of previously released documents in the Binder fiasco on Feb 27, and even as they were released, redactions remained which took another day to have unredacted.  It will be curious to see how long it will take for the files on RFK and MLK to be released, which should have been released more than two weeks ago per Trump’s instruction to have them released within 45 days.  Curiously, the absurd delays on the release of these documents would seem to indicate a clear effort working at cross purposes to Trump’s orders, and on events which took place more than 6 decades ago.

Limited Ceasefire Agreed –at least between the US and Russia

Peloni:  The war in Ukraine has always been the physical manifestation of the dueling interests of a sovereign Russia with that of the US power elites, the US Deep State &, to a far less relevant degree, those of Europe as well, even while the actual fighting remained between Ukraine  & Russia.  Similarly, the peace will be largely fashioned around the interests of the US and Russia, and Ukraine will come to either deal with the conclusion of these decisions or will ultimately be consumed as a result of being led by a comic with less regard for his nation’s survival than for the support among the European and American Democratic autocrats whom it appears he is still serving.

How the Fate of the West is Tied to the Fate of the Jewish Nation

By Janet Levy | Am Thinker | Mar 18, 2025

Image: Free image, Pixabay license.

Why is Israel alone forced to justify its existence and questioned when it stands up to those who would annihilate it?  Why was a worldwide campaign of hatred that reeked of anti-Semitism unleashed on Israel when it responded to the October 7, 2023, attack, while there was no criticism of Hamas?  Why has the U.N. censured the Jewish state more times than any other nation, even China, North Korea, and Cuba combined?

Lighting Up Gaza with Jonathan Schanzer

Peloni: FDD’s Jonathan Schanzer explains that what we are witnessing is a joint assault on the Iranian axis, with Israel facing Hamas, and the US facing the Houthis.  While acknowledging that the degree of coordination between Israel and the US is unknown, there have been significant and regular breifings between the US and Israel.   Four major Hamas figures were eliminated in the past twelve hours.

The Hamas-led attack on Southern Israel on 7 October 2023 was one of the largest terror attacks in history, resulting in 1,182 fatalities and over 4,000 wounded. A total of 251 hostages were taken – 210 were alive and 41 were dead bodies.[1] It was the largest single massacre of Jewish people since the Holocaust and the deadliest per capita terrorist attack, with just over 1 in every 10,000 Israelis killed and the third overall deadliest terrorist attack in the world to date.[2]

Iran’s ties to Western organized crime networks

The US has long labeled Iran as “the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism,” yet Tehran’s ambitions extend beyond backing Shia and Sunni Islamist groups in the Middle East. The US Treasury Department sanctioned Sweden’s Foxtrot gang on March 13 for its ties to the regime, underscoring Tehran’s longstanding practice of cultivating criminal networks across Europe and the Americas to assassinate dissidents and target American, European, and Israeli interests.

Arabic names for black people?

By Walter E. Block

Shamsud-Din Jabbar By 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army – originally published on Facebook, Public Domain

Why is it that so many famous black people, actors, athletes, others in the public eye, have adopted Arabic names? The latest person widely thought to have done so was famous alright; correction, infamous. That is, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, murderer of more than a dozen people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans during the reveler’s celebrations this past New Year’s Eve. (It turns out that Shamsud-Din Jabbar was indeed his birth name. Presumably, the switch to this nomenclature occurred in a previous generation of his).
