3. UK: Pro-Israel, anti-Islamic State doctor investigated for “Islamophobia”

Britain’s General Medical Council, which licenses physicians and sets standards for medical professionals, is investigating a doctor in London for “Islamophobia.” The investigation came about after the doctor dared to post material criticizing the Islamic State and supporting Israel on his Facebook page.

Is there any indication that a doctor who supports Israel and opposes the Islamic State will give patients poorer care than a pro-jihad doctor? The fact that the General Medical Council took this complaint seriously shows how far Britain has fallen. It is rapidly coming to the point where it will be illegal to be pro-Israel and opposed to jihad terror. Indeed, our support for Israel was one of the reasons why Pamela Geller and I were banned from entering Britain. It is increasingly the case that only one perspective is allowed in the public discourse in Britain (and the U.S. as well).

Terrorist shot after second stabbing attack in under six hours; two others wounded, one in serious condition.

A young woman was stabbed to death and two other people were wounded in a terrorist attack at a hitchhiking station outside the town of Alon Shvut in Gush Etzion Monday evening – the second such attack in less than 12 hours.

The 25-year-old woman died of neck wounds, according to paramedics.

A 26-year-old man who was also stabbed is in light to moderate condition and a 50-year-old was hurt in the jaw and is in light condition.

Witnesses say the terrorist tried to run down his victims with a car at first, but failed, and then got out of the car and began stabbing. Read more…

Amid violent protests following a police killing of an Arab man in northern Israel, Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said Monday that Arab residents of northern Israel should not remain citizens of Israel if an agreement is reached on a Palestinian state.

“The people in the Triangle must understand that if there is an agreement, they will not be citizens of the State of Israel,” he said, referring to the cluster of Arab towns in northern Israel abutting the Green Line. “You can’t benefit from the National Insurance Institute, convalescence and unemployment pay while raving and inciting against the state. I think that today this is clear — they must be on the other side of the border.”
Liberman clarified that he did not mean that residents should be forcibly “transferred,” but that a future Palestinian state should include the approximately 300,000 Israeli Arabs living in the Triangle. Read more…

Back in the 80’s Arabs did not have autonomy, weapons, or a so-called police force. Back in the 80’s Arabs would riot, as many do today in Jerusalem and elsewhere, throw rocks, burn tires, and charge against the police and soldiers who timidly tried to calm them down.
Back in the 80’s there was a sincere desire by many to make Peace with Arabs even as they professed their hatred of Israel and their hatred of the Jews. “Give them plumbing and microwave ovens and they will come to love us,” proposed Shimon Peres and the other leftwing pioneers.

Back in the 80’s a lot of good people wanted to believe that Peace could be reached and they were willing to sacrifice parts of Israel for the its sake. Victims of terror were called “sacrifices for Peace” and their leading movement was called “Peace Now”.

We were willing to do whatever it took. We screamed “Du-kium” (co-existence) as loud and often as we could. We played John Lennon’s “Imagine” every 20 minutes, and even a radio station was called ‘The Voice of Peace’.

The NGO is using a similar creative procedural move that it used to file similar complaints against Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal on September 3, in that it has said both Mashaal and Abbas are Jordanian citizens.

A senior Obama administration official in the White House told reporter Jeffrey Goldberg that the foreign that leader who frustrates the White House and the State Department the most is Benjamin Netanyahu. The anonymous White House official called the Israeli prime minister a “chickenshit.” Another anonymous senior official agreed that Netanyahu is a “chickenshit” on matters related to the peace process, but added that he is also a “coward” on the issue of Iran’s nuclear threat.

It is truly outrageous and extremely alarming that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East, is the foreign leader who frustrates the White House and the State Department the most. It is not Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. It is not Chinese dictator Xi Jinping. It is not the Castro brothers in Cuba. It is not dictator Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela. It is not Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of ISIL, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

White House senior officials called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “chickenshit” and a coward, but they have never used these insults against the leaders of enemy nations. Let us look at the history of the foreign leader who Barack Obama and  his White House senior staff despises the most.

This article and Halevy’s article below, rail against the government’s policy of containment. I agree. It is a short term policy, not a long term plan. Halevy says we must be clear about what we want and go for it. Shiffer says we must cut a deal with them to avoid another war, i.e., give them something .

The problem is that no long term plan that we decide upon will get the blessing of the Palestinians. Thus we must act unilaterally but act we must. The next election will provide the right with a golden opportunity because it is believed that the right may gain  as much as 10 seats.  At the root of deliberations is the question of what to do with the Arabs. The siege, which led to the war that flooded Israel with missiles and mortar fire this past summer, required the decision makers to hurry up and negotiate with Hamas. The necessary assumption was that after 51 days in which our lives were paralyzed, days in which we suffered human loses and injuries, and after the billions the war cost, a process would begin for an agreement that would prevent the next round.

But the lesson was not learned. Nothing happened – neither indirect talks with Hamas nor discussions among the decision makers which would outline a different direction, like a full disengagement from the Strip.

Officials in the defense establishment, and mainly around Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, explain that Hamas suffered an extremely serious blow and will not dare launch missiles towards destinations in Israel in the foreseeable future. If there is no way to guarantee Israeli citizens’ safety without zero achievements for Palestinians, our leaders must say it clearly and fearlessly.

The events of the past few weeks in Judea and Samaria, and especially in Jerusalem, emphasize the political echelon’s statements on the possibility of an agreement with the Palestinians.

The top consideration for guaranteeing the security of the State of Israel and its citizens is dictating more than ever a policy of “zero risk” to human life, and therefore full security control over the entire territory – from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon recently presented his doctrine on the Palestinian issue, saying that he sees no other option but to leave the Israeli shekel as the official currency in Judea and Samaria in any future agreement, as the Israeli and Palestinian economies are intertwined.

According to reports, Ya’alon said that the Palestinians could enjoy a sort of municipal autonomy. This means they would not be able to enact primary legislation, and would likely only be able to institute regulations which would be valid in accordance with the primary legislation in the Knesset.

The U.S. Senate has the right and duty to examine any nuclear deal reached with Iran, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, of South Carolina, told Israel Hayom. Graham vowed that the Senate would block a “bad deal” with Iran.

In Graham’s view, any agreement that permits Iran to enrich uranium would constitute a “bad deal” unacceptable to the Senate.

“Today, there are new bosses in Washington,” Graham, who was reelected to a third term in the Senate on Tuesday, said. “The biggest losers, after the midterm elections, are Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian nuclear program.”

PM Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that the Israeli authorities would act forcefully against Arab Israeli protesters who are “calling for the destruction of the State of Israel.”

The riots that have been sparked in Arab Israeli towns in the Galilee over the weekend are being instigated by Hamas, the Islamic Movement and the Palestinian Authority, he added.

“Israel is a nation of law. Whoever violates the law will be punished severely. We will not tolerate disturbances and riots. We will take determined action against those who throw stones, firebombs and fireworks, and block roads, and against demonstrations that call for our destruction. We are not prepared to tolerate more demonstrations in the heart of our cities in which Hamas or Islamic State flags are waved and calls are made to redeem Palestine with blood and fire — calling in effect for the destruction of the State of Israel,” Netanyahu told ministers at Sunday’s cabinet meeting.

You remember that when Sarah Palin was John McCain’s running mate in 2008, she accused Obama of “palling around with terrorists.”  She never repeated this remark in the campaign as McCain forbid her to do so. Since then she has been Obama’s most vocal critic.

You will also remember that I was a big fan of hers.  I recognized that she is unfairly and dishonestly  maligned and mocked by many just as Israel is demeaned and deligitamated by many. Although as a result of the defamation, her star has fallen considerably, I do believe that she will campaign to be the Republic nominee for President. I base this prediction on two interviews in which she indicated that she is open to running for office.

Whether she will do so with the hope of winning or with the intention to keep her name relevant and to be a possible king maker remains to be seen. Ted Belman

Muslim leadership make it very clear, as this video attests, that Islam will conquer the world. Its only a matter of time. But the western world embraces Islam as though this threat didn’t exist. In fact it aids and abets this process by protecting Islam from criticism and calling it a religion of peace.

Many liberals say that this goal which is the essence of Islam is embraced by only a minority of radicals and that most Muslims are moderates. The Carole Brown article below puts the lie to this thinking. In addition polls of Muslims, country by country, show a high majority of Muslims support Sharia law with all its brutality and discrimination. These Muslims think they are on a vastly higher moral plane when they support Sharia and Islam than the decadent west. They are self-righteous about it. Our laws do not appeal to them.

What, and who, is a moderate Muslim?

Islamic values are codified in the Koran. The idea that some Muslims might interpret those values in a moderate way is like saying there’s such a thing as jihad lite. There’s no getting around the fact that a central tenet of the Koran is mass murder – whether through the directive to kill infidels (non-believers), apostates (those who leave Islam), or hypocrites (Muslims who don’t practice their religion appropriately). In other words, most of civilization is fair game for slaughter. What, pray tell, would be a moderate version of that?

And if people try to suggest there are many peaceful verses in the Koran, they are either uninformed or practicing taqiyya, because older, more peaceful teachings are abrogated by more recent violent teachings, as written in Sura 2, Verse 106. Jihad Watch reports:

This is a very long but interesting review of the history of conflict on the Temple Mount and in Jerusalem generally. Barnea poses the question, “We have the right to pray on the TM but should we exercise that right?”  PM Netanyahu says “no”. Feiglin says “yes”. While I am in agreement that we should be more aggressive in confronting lawlessness, I am with Bibi on the question of banning Jewish prayer. With far-right MKs stampeding up to the Temple Mount, and the Muslim world certain Israel is trying to change the status quo there, Netanyahu would do well to heed some wise words from a veteran lawmaker.

On the night of September, 27, 2000, I found myself at the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem. Shimon Shiffer and I had interviewed Ehud Barak ahead of Rosh Hashanah, and a number of loose ends needed to be tied up before press time. The conversation went on until after midnight. Before we parted, I asked Barak if he planned on going to sleep. Sleep, he asked. Ariel Sharon’s decided to visit the Temple Mount tomorrow morning. I need to call the police chief, to make sure that the police are okay, and there are more things to coordinate.

Why is Sharon visiting the Temple Mount all of a sudden, I asked.

Barak waved his hand dismissively. “It is an internal Likud issue,” he said. “Sharon needs it to screw Netanyahu.”

Why are you allowing him, I asked.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Saturday once again called for Israel’s destruction.

Khamenei’s latest provocation came in a series of tweets in which he launched a tirade against the Jewish state and called to arm Palestinian Arabs in Judea and Samaria.

“This barbaric, wolflike & infanticidal regime of #Israel which spares no crime has no cure but to be annihilated,” read one tweet.

“The only means to confront a barbaric regime like #Israel is arming West Bank,” read another tweet by the Supreme Leader.

“We’ve seen 100s of times that #Israel doesn’t abide by #peace.They didn’t even tolerate Arafat who cooperated w/them& poisoned him to death,” charged Khamenei in another post, referring to the death of former Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.

“#WestBank should be armed just like #Gaza. Friends of Palestine should do their best to arm People in West Bank,” another tweet read.

The ADL was a fundamentally flawed organization under Abe Foxman, but at times it occasionally broke ranks with the left on Jewish issues, though not for very long. It did more harm than good, but now it’s going to be marching fully in step with the left.

Replacing Foxman will be Jonathan Greenblatt, a Clinton official who bummed around NGOs during the Bush years and then became Obama’s director of the White House’s Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation.

It’s strange that a top official at a Democratic administration with the worst relations with the Jewish community since Carter is being appointed to head the Anti-Defamation League. Especially at a time when the administration is openly abusing Israel and Jews.

One doesn’t have to be a political scientist to see that Israeli foreign policy has been a disaster. Regardless of which party has been in power, Israel’s foreign policy has eventuated in unilateral concessions and territorial retreat.  Lacking is a Jewish foreign policy, one that will require a new form of diplomacy.  For its development, let us contrast the aristocratic diplomacy of the 19th-century Austrian statesman Prince Metternich with the democratic diplomacy of Benjamin Netanyahu vis-à-vis Mahmoud Abbas, head of the despotic Palestinian Authority (PA).

Some Strategic Principles 

• To expect the leader of the PA, a dictatorship, to be moderate is like asking him to destroy the foundation of his existence.  Hence, Netanyahu’s expectation of “reciprocity,” vis-à-vis Abbas, is both absurd and as foreign to Islamic thought and 1,400 years of Islamic history.
