Peloni: The US administration was laying the groundwork to press Israel into making this land concession to Hezbollah since before October 7, and their every move since October 7 has been an attempt to return to pressuring Israel to do so. Peace does not come from seeking faux peace deals with terrorists but rather thru the willingness to fight and win wars when the need arises. Well, the need arose nearly a year ago if not before that, and now it only remains to be seen whether Israel will accept an imposed land concession or if she will force the Iranian proxy into permanently retreating north and ending their assault.

By contrast, Israel’s mainstream media and Jewish publications around the globe have pushed the narrative that Israel’s justice system is under siege by the religious, right-wing political camp. While each branch clearly requires employees to carry out the branch’s function, the Founders manifestly did not intend for these employees to call the shots. However, things have changed. Wilson planted the seeds of a vast bureaucracy, FDR grew those seeds, and the modern Democrat party, from JFK to Biden, turned the bureaucracy into an uncontrolled monster. For at least four decades, African-American and Jewish relations have soured and whatever platitudes may be uttered by recognized leaders of both groups, the rank and file among both groups often hold aggressive and condescending views of each other. It was identified with so-called underground “dissident movements” in Palestine—The Irgun and the Stern Gang (known by the acronym of LEHI, the Hebrew acronym for “Lochamei LeHerut Yisrael”—Fighters for the Freedom of Israel) and managed in the United States by Peter Bergson (code name of Hillel Kook), a Zionist emissary from Jerusalem connected with the Revisionist Movement, headed by Menachem Begin.

President Trump sends out a “cease and desist” message that absolutely nails the institutional origin of the voter fraud process as it is permitted and facilitated. Although slightly using a coded message, within the spelling, punctuation and pertinence, the identification “DoJ” is transparently clear. I hope everyone can see it [“Depravity of Justice” instead of “DoJ”].
Peloni: The war in Gaza is winding down, the political leadership in the US is distracted by elections, and Hezbollah continues its assault in the North. Hence this timing could prove uniquely set for Israel to finally deal with Hezbollah. The opportunity cost of doing so, however leaves Israel dealing with the remnants of Hamas in the South, the flareups in Judea & Samaria, and the war aims in the South yet to be met. Additionally, if Israel were to delay its war with Hezbollah, it would give the Israeli forces time to rest, the further development of Israel’s Laser weapons systems, and the potential of having a more friendly ally in the White House should Trump win in November. This latter point should be tempered with the recognition that the Trump White House failed to move against Hezbollah and in fact funded the Hezbollah led govt with US aid, which distinctly contrasted with its de-funding of Iran, the PA and UNWRA, raising the question of how much latitude Trump would allow Israel in the North, presuming that he does in fact overcome the election fraud which he will be facing in November’s election. Beyond all of this, if the war is delayed, the residents of the North will fail to return to their homes, and Israel will be projecting a posture of weakness rather than strength as Hezbollah continues to depopulate the north and wreaks havoc on the countryside there and beyond.
Considering all of this, on whole I would argue for moving on the North sooner rather than later, though there are clear benefits and dilemmas associated with either moving now or later.
