Must the virtuous state accept barbarism as its sine qua non to “stay alive”?

If someone comes to kill yourise and kill him first

By Prof Lois Rene Beres

Though the most evident source of human governance is power, true power can never stem from war-making stratagems or capacities. In principle, at least, consummate power on planet earth is immortality, but such power is intangible and must be based on faith rather than science. All things considered, the promise of “power over death” holds primary importance in world politics. This is especially the case in the jihadist Middle East.

There are relevant particulars. The consequences of this sort of thinking represent a lethal triumph of anti-Reason over Reason. Such triumph, in turn, expresses the continuing supremacy of primal human satisfactions in war, terrorism and genocide. On this matter of world-historical urgency, scholars and policy-makers should consider the probing observation of Eugene Ionesco in his Journal (1966). Opting to describe killing in general as affirmation of an individual’s “power over death,” the Romanian playwright explains:

Iran’s Mullahs and  Shi’a Islamism

By: Amil Imani

The world is presently at its most wicked. It is beyond human help. It requires only a nudge to implode and prepare for the divine ruler, the Saheb-ul-Zaman (the Mahdi, the Lord of the Age), to come and set it aright. It is the sacred duty and privilege of every Muslim to do all he can to hasten the death of the old world and the birth of the global Islamic Ummah. Thus goes the thinking of Iran’s ruling mullahs and their handpicked presidents.

The old millennial thinking is a belief held in one version or another by major religions. Indeed, it is, with one terribly alarming difference. This time around, a group of believers with tremendous resources is intent on forcing the issue, making the conditions so dire that it leaves the reluctant Saheb-ul-Zaman no choice but to appear and assume his universal reign.

Chevron & the Deep State

TIERNEY REAL NEWS

The Supreme Court just struck down the Chevron Doctrine which has poisoned our country for almost 40 years. This is a MAJOR ruling. The people we elect to make the laws aren’t the ones who actually make the laws today – it’s done by unelected bureaucrats in the administrative state.

John McAfee – who allegedly committed suicide after making a video about the administrative state – called these “unelected bureaucrats” the “Deep State” – and I think he paid for that with his life. The “Deep State” basically reports to the NWO – the Globalist oligarchy that wants to strip America of her sovereignty and rule the world.

The Obama and Biden Administrations: Paving the Way for a Nuclear-Armed Iran

by Majid Rafizadeh, GATESTONE  •  June 29, 2024

America’s “diplomatic efforts,” instead of putting a stop to Iran’s nuclear program, have only resulted in a series of concessions that have empowered the Iranian regime. (Image source: iStock)

  • America’s “diplomatic efforts,” instead of putting a stop to Iran’s nuclear program, have only resulted in a series of concessions that have empowered the Iranian regime. The lack of stringent enforcement and verification measures, and especially lifting secondary sanctions — by which any country that does business with Iran is prohibited from doing business with America — have allowed Iran to accelerate its nuclear activities “under the radar.”

Why Won’t the US Help Negotiate a Peaceful End to the War in Ukraine?

For goodness’ sake, negotiate!

For the fifth time since 2008, Russia has proposed to negotiate with the U.S. over security arrangements, this time in proposals made by President Vladimir Putin on June 14, 2024. Four previous times, the U.S. rejected the offer of negotiations in favor of a neocon strategy to weaken or dismember Russia through war and covert operations. The U.S. neocon tactics have failed disastrously, devastating Ukraine in the process, and endangering the whole world. After all the warmongering, it’s time for Biden to open negotiations for peace with Russia.

Since the end of the Cold War, the U.S. grand strategy has been to weaken Russia. As early as 1992, then Defense Secretary Richard Cheney opined that following the 1991 demise of the Soviet Union, Russia too should be dismembered. Zbigniew Brzezinski opined in 1997 that Russia should be divided into three loosely confederated entities in Russian Europe, Siberia, and the far east. In 1999, the U.S.-led NATO alliance bombed Russia’s ally, Serbia, for 78 days in order to break Serbia apart and install a massive NATO military base in breakaway Kosovo. Leaders of the U.S. military-industrial complex vociferously supported the Chechen war against Russia in the early 2000s.

Would Trump re-establish peace through strength?

As should be clear by now, the alternative is war through weakness

By Clifford D. May, FDD Founder & President

Suppose Joe Biden wins reelection. Will he revise his approach to national security and foreign policy? He should, don’t you think?

He capitulated to the Taliban in Afghanistan in just about the most damaging way imaginable. He failed to deter Vladimir Putin from launching a war against Ukraine. He has vowed to defend Taiwan from the Chinese Communists but isn’t equipping the U.S. military for such a mission. He has enriched and empowered Iran’s rulers whose nuclear weapons program is rapidly advancing while their proxies attack commercial shipping in the Red Sea and wage a multifront war against Israel. Shall I go on?]

A Limited Hangout on Vaccine Harms

Peloni:  The cruel abandonment of those who have been affected by the bioweapon countermeasure masked as a vaccine has been one of the most terrible aspects of the Covid scam.  It has been four years and the media is still held fast in its complicity in shrouding the truth about the injuries arising following a shot of old ‘safe and effective’.  This compounding of psychological warfare upon those already dealing with the physical and financial hardship of this psyop is too terrible to believe, and yet we must do more than believe what we know to be true, as we must act upon it, demanding retribution for the ill, accountability for the complicit, and an end to the deployment of these toxic shots in any form or formulation, posthaste.

Well, it’s finally happened. The New York Times (NYT) has acknowledged COVID vaccine harms. In a major piece written by their top pandemic reporter, Apoorva Mandavilli, the paper has written […]

Jeffrey A. Tucker | June 27, 2024

Well, it’s finally happened.

The New York Times (NYT) has acknowledged COVID vaccine harms. In a major piece written by their top pandemic reporter, Apoorva Mandavilli, the paper has written of “thousands” the world over who have experienced when it is more like millions, according to many experts who have been yelling about this issue for years.

The thesis is not that the vaccine harmed people but really that people BELIEVE they have been harmed. It is their truth. We should listen, as they say in postmodern parlance.

Democrats Apoplectic at Horrible Biden Debate Performance – Calls for Immediate Replacement

Peloni:  All of a sudden it seems that the Dems are terribly concerned about the optics of Biden’s incapacity, as if there was never any sign of him being less than 100% prior to last night’s onstage debacle.  Gov. Newsom was prominently present last night in the post-debate followups as if to remind everyone that he is still available.  It will be interesting to see what face the Dems choose to put forward as the place saver for their Deep State apparatus, but we should not be deceived into believing that there is any difference between the two, as the American Deep State has been running things in America for a very very long time already, and it is their intent to continue doing so no matter who is chosen to ‘lead’ America.  The only opportunity to bring about a change to this continued Deep State autocracy will be the overwhelming electoral victory by President Trump…for the third time.

The Curtain of Pretending Has Fallen

Across the broad political spectrum of leftists and professional democrats, the apoplexy is consistent.  Everyone is freaking out about how terrible Joe Biden did in the debate against President Trump.

The seeds of Biden’s betrayal of Israel were planted a long time ago

Biden’s rogue’s gallery of hacks, ideologues and jihad enablers.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen recently warned Israel against cutting off Palestinian banks and spoke about the need to increase aid to Gaza—that is, Hamas—even further. Yellen’s words gained little attention, as the Biden regime’s betrayal of Israel is now old news.

It is widely known that the regime, deeply afraid that it could lose Michigan in November, has brought a 70-year-old alliance perilously close to rupture to gain the Arab vote. Yet the betrayal of Israel didn’t begin when the polls started looking bad for Old Joe. The seeds of it were planted long before Hamas massacred 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7.

Iran moves into Somalia

The Biden administration has allowed Iran to expand its terror territories, and that’s not just bad news for Israel, it’s also bad news for America and for the world.

After six months of using its Houthi jihadis to impose a blockade near Yemen while defying Biden to do anything about it, the Islamic global terror state is moving on to a Somali blockade.

Current reports suggest that the Houthis, an Iranian Shi’ite terror group, are negotiating to provide weapons to Yemen’s Al-Shabaab, a Sunni jihadist group allied with Al Qaeda, to expand Iran’s control over shipping. While Al-Shabaab has operated using the conventional Al Qaeda playbook of rifles and IEDs, the Houthis can offer upgraded drones and missile technology.

US should stop micromanaging the Israeli war

Has the sad, inefficient, ineffectual record stopped American leaders not from merely advising the Israelis as to how to conduct their present war with Hamas, but from attempting to dictate strategy and tactics to them?

By  Walter E. Block

One would have to go all the way back to 1945, 79 long years ago, to find a war that the US won. (Sorry, Grenada just does not count). Along the way, this country lost military confrontations in Korea, VietNam, Afghanistan and perhaps another half dozen other foreign military adventures, depending upon how you count.

Has this sad, inefficient, ineffectual record stopped American leaders not from merely advising the Israelis as to how to conduct their present war with Hamas, but from attempting to dictate strategy and tactics to them? Has there been any modesty involved in the not-too-subtle orders given to our most important ally in the Middle East? To ask these questions is to answer them, and the answer is, unfortunately, strongly in the negative.

Kosovo – Where the West took the US hegemonic path – and kept going

By Edward Spalton, Freenations

Back in 1999 few people seemed to notice what had happened to NATO. Under the leadership of President Clinton and Tony Blair, it converted itself from a very successful defensive alliance into an organisation with the self-awarded power of pro active interventions around the world on behalf of an undefined “international community”.

Its first target was Serbia which had been in the sights of the USA since the early Nineties.

It was with a feeling of doom-laden deja-vu that I recently heard on the news that Croatian and Albanian football fans at the Euro competition had been chanting “Kill the Serbs!” There is an old Austrian saying “Im Balkan stirbt niemand” – Nobody dies in the Balkans (not of natural causes, that is). In 1999 people certainly were dying in Kosovo in fighting between the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) and Yugoslav federal forces. Statistics from before the war suggested that an Albanian in Kosovo was about as likely to meet a violent death as an ordinary inhabitant of Washington DC at the same period whereas a Serb was several times more likely to come to an untimely end.

Why the End of the American Empire is Good for the Republic

By J. Robert Smith, AM THINKER

This past weekend, the Ukrainians fired missiles at Russia. It’s not the first time. U.S. fingerprints are all over this attack, too. It was yet another provocation to war with Russia. A war with Russia wouldn’t be a limited affair, despite the conceits emanating from Washington. And it wouldn’t revolve around Ukraine’s future. It would center on the fate of the American empire.

Reported CNN:

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a post on Telegram that Ukraine carried out the attack using “US-supplied ATACMS operational-tactical missiles equipped with cluster warheads.”

According to Reuters, the attack “killed at least four people and injured 151.” The missiles weren’t just U.S. supplied. Russia charged that the “U.S. military had aimed them and provided data.” The technology used would have included a U.S. Global Hawk surveillance drone. An unconfirmed report from Pravda via Newsweek is that Russia just downed a Global Hawk over the Black Sea. The U.S. contests the claim.

Western pressure prompts countries to sever ties with Moscow – opinion

As Western pressure mounts on nations like Israel and Armenia to recalibrate ties with Moscow amidst Ukraine tensions, geopolitical alliances are swiftly evolving.

Last February, the prominent American think tank Brookings Institute stated that “NATO allies must manifest their support for Ukraine through bilateral security arrangements.” Since the publication of that report, the United States and other Western countries have exerted pressure on several nations to be more supportive of the Ukraine.

It has become evident that this Western pressure on countries to abandon their ties with Moscow is beginning to bear fruit.

Biden’s ‘reformed PA’ marketing strategy

The entire idea is just a ploy to impose a Palestinian state on the Israelis.

MOSHE PHILLIPS

The Biden administration’s Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said this week, “It is essential that the Palestinian Authority work to reform itself and that it do so as quickly as possible.”

But when it comes to the P.A., “as quickly as possible” means years, decades or perhaps never.

We’ve been hearing for more than seven months that the P.A. needs to be “reformed” and “revitalized.” There is no evidence that the P.A. has moved in that direction. Nonetheless, Biden administration officials keep repeating their “revitalization” formula as if it were realistic, probable or even already underway.
