Unfortunate – Charlie Kirk, TPUSA and Richard Baris Construct Push Poll to Influence VP Selection

Peloni:  This is the sort of pre-picked, political skullduggery which the MAGA movement has been  motivated to eliminate from Washington.  In fact, it is important to have such string pulling shenanigans exposed, if for no greater purpose than to understand which of the MAGA front bull pen give voice to supporting a return to govt by the will of the people, while acting to simply change out the Dem Uniparty selectees for RINO Uniparty selectees.  This simply further characterizes Kirk whose tweeted support for Candace Owens following one of her recent antisemitic rants, which was later followed by Kirk’s disturbingly false assertion that passing a recent Congressional bill condemning antisemitism would “make parts of the Bible illegal”.

It is a very unfortunate situation any time you can easily spot manipulation that is taking place on behalf of hidden interests.

In this example today TPUSA was pushing the results of a poll from this past weekend.

Charlie Kirk and his organization claim that JD Vance won the straw poll of 1,600 attendees to the TPUSA event. However, as quickly identified, the only options presented to the audience were JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott and Gary Burgum.  Somewhat of a self-fulfilling presentation.

The Price of Everything, the Value of Nothing

By Jeffrey A. Tucker | June 17, 2024

(Giorgio Trovato/Unsplash.com)

The inflation of the last three years has been devastating for households and businesses running on small margins. It’s all the more frustrating that during those years, we kept being told that it is transitory, softening, calming, cooling, settling down, and essentially not much of a problem anymore. We look back and know now that it was never true.

Completely Ignored: IDF was warned of massacre plan weeks in advance

Peloni:  The disturbing revelations continue to seep into the public view, even as those members of the IDF and Intel leadership whose gross mismanagement led to the October 7 slaughter have elected to mostly maintain their positions thru til the end of the current war, as if they are arguing that their gross mismanagement thus far might in someway be countenanced as an asset.

An intelligence document distributed by the IDF described in detail the raid plan for the border area, including the exact number of hostages. The information was passed to the Gaza Division – and completely ignored.

Hamas invasion of Israel     Abed Rahim Khatib/Flash9

Kan reports that intelligence documents in the possession of the Gaza Division and the Intelligence Corps showed the plans for the October 7th massacre in minute detail, and were distributed less than three weeks before the invasion.

Security officials added that the document was known to the top intelligence echelon, and at the very least to the Gaza Division.

The Censorship-Industrial Complex and How It has the Internet in its Grip

By Janet Levy

Since the 1960s, the military-industrial complex has influenced and driven American policy to profit cynically from conflict and war.  But in this decade, a new complex has arrived, one that is far more dangerous to American values.  It is the censorship-industrial complex (CIC), which has gained tremendous control over the internet.

When the internet-backed World Wide Web was created in 1989, it democratized information and connectedness.  Through rapid commercialization, it unleashed unlimited possibilities and economic growth.  Equally, it became a haven of free expression, debate, and creativity.  These ideals crystallized into the five principles of the 2012 Declaration of Internet Freedom: non-censorship; universal access; freedom to connect and create; the right to privacy and control of personal information; and protection for technology and innovation.

FBI Director Chris Wray defies the State Department on Iran

FBI Director Chris Wray’s position on Islamic terrorism/Iran

Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger, “Second Thought: a US-Israel initiative June 17, 2024,

FBI Director, Chris Wray reiterated – during his June 4, 2024 Senate testimony and April 11, 2024 House testimony – his warning of an October 7-like terrorism on the US soil:

“We have seen the threat from foreign terrorists rise to a whole another level after the October 7 [Hamas terrorism]….Increasingly concerning is the potential for a coordinated attack here in the [US] homeland, akin to the ISIS attack we saw at the Russia Concert Hall in March, 2024 [137 murdered, 180 wounded]…. Nations such as the PRC, Russia and Iran are becoming more aggressive and more capable than ever before.  These nations seek to undermine our core democratic, economic and scientific institutions….

The US ignores Israel’s right to the land and promotes a Palestinian State instead.

By Ted Belman

I recently critiqued an interview of Prof Jeffrey Sachs by Judge Napolitano on US policy on Gaza.

The Judge started out by referring to ”the slaughter that was going on in Gaza”. How can he be so ignorant? It has been proven repeatedly that there is no slaughter or genocide in Gaza. In fact Israel has the lowest kill ratio of any war previously by a factor of at least five.

Surprisingly, he spoke respectfully about Ben Gvir and Smotrich.

Europe Between Hope and Fear

  • The federal tendency runs counter to the European political tradition based on national sovereignty. In fact, Western Europe, the heartland of the EU, is the birthplace of the very concept of the nation-state, built on the ruins of various empires, a model subsequently adopted by almost all other countries.

Israel and Europe’s Turn to the Right

As Europeans have increasingly turned to the right, with the electoral victories of Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, of Giorgia Meloni’s Fratelli d’Italia in Italy, of Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella’s National Rally in France, and of Alice Weidel’s Alternative für Deutschland in Germany, Israel should unembarrassedly make common cause with these leaders and parties, all of which have expressed stout support for Israel. The increased popularity of these parties is due mainly to their firm stance against continued Muslim migration into their countries, a stance that has caused them to be labelled, quite unfairly, as “far-right.”

The Prime Minister has decided to dissolve the War Cabinet and decisions will instead be made by the Security Cabinet.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced to his ministers who participated in the Security Cabinet session on Sunday that he has decided to dissolve the War Cabinet and to hold the relevant discussions in the broader Security Cabinet instead.

However, those close to the Prime Minister predict that he will hold consultations with a smaller forum, similar to the War Cabinet, while decisions will be made in the Security Cabinet.

By doing this, Netanyahu absolved himself of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s demands to join the War Cabinet after the National Unity Party left the government.

PM, Defense Minister were not informed of IDF ‘tactical pause’ announcement

Peloni:  It is bad enough that the US and UN believe that they should have a greater input into Israel’s governing than the duly elected Israel govt, but for the leadership of the IDF to act upon these beliefs portrays an altogether greater problem for Israel.  As the Israeli govt is already encumbered by a Supreme Court which takes its directives from whims of fancy which are based on non-national interests, the move for the leadership of the IDF to embark on a similar outrage in a midst of a war stretches credulity beyond the breaking point.  This outrage should be recognized as being ever greater by the fact that the US and UN are allied against the war aims set by the Israeli govt.  The concerns extending from this report would notably include the many questions which have arisen as to the motivations surrounding the actions by the leadership of the IDF in connection to the massive policy failures which led to the October 7 slaughter, details about which we are still not permitted to know more than the investigative reports which are independently obtained in the press.

Political source says PM Netanyahu was surprised by IDF announcement of 11-hour ‘tactical pauses’ every day near Kerem Shalom Crossing.

Netanyahu and Gallant    Yonatan Sindel/Flash90

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant were not informed in advance of the IDF’s decision to announce daily ‘tactical pauses’ near the Kerem Shalom Crossing.

A political official said after the IDF’s announcement: “When the Prime Minister heard the reports in the morning about a humanitarian pause for 11 hours a day, he contacted his military secretary and made it clear that this was unacceptable to him. Following an inquiry, the Prime Minister was informed that there is no change in IDF policy and that the fighting in Rafah is continuing as planned.”

The grave consequences of the UN’s failure in Lebanon

Bradley Bowman  &  Cameron McMillan | FDD | June 14, 2024

In a significant escalation, Hezbollah pummeled northern Israel on Wednesday with more than 200 rockets in the terror group’s largest single-day attack since the start of the war in Gaza. The barrage came the day after the Israel Defense Forces killed Taleb Sami Abdullah, a senior Hezbollah commander, in southern Lebanon.

Israel and the Iran-backed terrorist organization have traded almost daily blows for months, but the frequency and seriousness of these attacks have escalated in recent weeks. If the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) does not execute its mandated mission by stopping Hezbollah attacks on Israel and ensuring the group withdraws north of the Litani River, the steadily intensifying violence on Israel’s northern border could become a full-scale war with massive loss of life.

VERY GOOD NEWS ISRAEL

By Michael Ordman, VGNI

The photo is of our local flame tree (delonix regia) which are prolific in Netanya. Every year they transform from their barren state, re-igniting into blooms of fire. They remind us of how the people of Israel have turned a desolate desert into a Garden of Eden. Despite our enemies attempts to destroy us, we always rebuild.

In the 16th Jun 24 edition of Israel’s good news, the highlights include:

  • Hamas not only uses its civilians as human shields, but may be the first government in history that wants to see its own people killed in order to blame another country, Israel, for their deaths. Meanwhile, Israel goes out of its way – seriously risking the lives of its soldiers – not to commit any crimes against humanity or indiscriminately bomb, as Russia does in Ukraine.
  • “Israel implemented more measures to prevent civilian casualties than any nation in history,” wrote John Spencer, chair of urban warfare studies at the Modern War Institute at West Point.

ISRAEL TRIP (Part 2). Identity, worldview, the civilian, and the soldier

“When he died, he died on the [Gaza] border, protecting the civilians behind him (…) In Jewish belief, when you die for your country, for your nation, this is the best death. I think the best way is to go on with living and making good things for others. But we have to fight in Israel for our existence, for our survival. And it’s very difficult, in a personal way. No matter what they say about how important it [my son’s sacrifice] was, the personal grief is very, very deep.”
Yaron Shor, father of an Israeli soldier fallen in Gaza.

PM Netanyahu: ‘There is no alternative to victory – we must keep at our goals’

‘We are fighting to ensure our existence and our future; we are fighting to bring back our hostages,’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday responded to the deaths of eight IDF soldiers in Rafah.

“Today we paid another heartbreaking price for our just war to protect our homeland,” Netanyahu began. “With deep sorrow and heavy mourning, I bow my head together with all of Israel’s citizens, and mourn the fall of our eight heroic soldiers: The deputy company commander of an engineering battalion, Captain Wassem Mahmoud, and other heroic soldiers whose names are not yet cleared for publication.
