T. Belman. No, no, never. Israel has every right to exercise sovereignty over the Gaza strip, sans Gazans. This is the price Gaza should pay for the Oct 7 atrocity. Its the right of conquest in a defensive war. We disengaged on condition but now were are taking it back.

We are paying for it in blood. It is immoral for the US to dictate to Israel what should happen with the land.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Tuesday that a “revitalized” Palestinian Authority should retake control of Gaza if Israel succeeds in its goal of toppling Hamas, but that regional partners and international agencies could play an interim role.

The comments by Blinken during testimony before the Senate Appropriations Committee marked the first time the Biden administration has publicly declared its desire for the PA to return to the Gaza Strip, after privately raising the idea with regional partners since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war.

Israel has agreed to allow 100 trucks of humanitarian aid into Gaza each day following intensive diplomatic engagement by the Biden administration, a US official told The Times of Israel on Monday.

The agreement came hours after the UN agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) warned that the limited number of aid trucks entering Gaza were insufficient to meet the “unprecedented humanitarian needs” in the territory.

T. Belman. This is what I have been advocating for. It is the responsibility of the UN to resettle the refugees, not pen them in.  It should have been done in ’48. The only reason it wasn’t was because the UN and its enablers, the UK and the US, wanted Israel to choke on them.
