Back when the experts didn’t know if the new vaccines would even be “effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 infections,” the government, media, corporations, and public health intelligentsia still relentlessly pushed the stuff on Americans while proclaiming that they were 90-percent effective, and Dr. Anthony Fauci openly presumed that we’d “really need for 75-to-85-percent of the population to get vaccinated to achieve herd immunity.”

All of that information can be found in a single article from December of 2020.  Today, we’ve hit Dr. Fauci’s once-supposed sweet spot for vaccination rates (among adults, at least), thanks to a propaganda campaign that neglected to publicize any potential risks while promoting benefits which have proven to be impossible to attain.

Former Trump advisor Stephen K. Bannon was indicted on Friday by a federal grand jury on two counts of contempt of Congress stemming from his refusal to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Bannon is facing a maximum sentence of a year in jail, as well as a fine of $100 to $1,000.

This comes one week after federal agents raided Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe’s home in New York over the missing diary of Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden.

“Bannon, 67, is charged with one contempt count involving his refusal to appear for a deposition and another involving his refusal to produce documents, despite a subpoena from the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol,” the Department of Justice said in a press release. “An arraignment date has not yet been set in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.”

Alex Berenson, the former New York Times science writer who has been a voice of reason on the Covid epidemic, assembles evidence that the mandated Covid pseudo-vaccines have failed all over the world, in a Substack post titled, “Worldwide vaccine failure.”

If the Covid jabs are so effective that constitutionally dubious vaccine mandates are being pushed by the Biden regime, then those locales with the highest vaccination rates must have brought the virus under better control than elsewhere, obviously. But that is not the case. The countries with the highest vaccination rates are seeing soaring cases and even deaths.

Despite (or perhaps because of) a long career spent reading judicial decisions, I really hate reading cases. A stellar exception arose on Friday, when the Fifth Circuit issued its decision in BST Holdings, L.L.C. et al. v. OSHA, reaffirming the initial stay it granted when multiple entities and individuals challenged OSHA’s recently issued vaccine mandate. In one brutal paragraph after another, the Court rips apart the mandate, citing law, facts, OSHA precedent, and even a Ron Klain tweet. It’s a tour de force that makes it unlikely that any halfway honest court can or would resuscitate the mandate or that either OSHA or even Congress could try again.

The United Arab Emirates foreign minister’s meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus this week is raising eyebrows around the region and in Washington. The visit is symbolic and important, and could mark a shift in the region.

The UAE and other countries have made quiet overtures to Damascus for years, and there is an emerging consensus between the Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and their partners that the time has come to bring Syria and its regime in from the cold.
