The Middle Eastern NATO is coming

CGTN

[..] The geopolitics in the Middle East transformed significantly in the past decade. The rise of Iran and the decline of Arab powers changed the landscape and led to closer ties between Israel and the Arab world. Talks and contacts between Israel and Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain became widely noticed. In the second half of 2020, the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco normalized their ties with Israel. Both Israel and the Gulf Arab states share their concerns and worries towards Iran’s regional influence, and Iran’s rising power becomes a major driving force for the formation of a regional alliance between Israel and some Gulf Arab states.

Another driving force for forming the alliance is the U.S.’s Middle East policy. Joe Biden’s Middle East policies have led to worries and dissatisfaction from Israel and some Gulf Arab states. They perceive Biden’s hope to contact Iran and lift sanctions against the country imposed by the former Trump administration as U.S. concessions to Iran.

Meanwhile, Washington’s criticism over Saudi Arabia’s and the UAE’s intervention in Yemen’s civil war and investigations of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s role in Jamal Khashoggi’s death in 2018 provoked worries from the two countries. Therefore, there’s a stronger desire of Israel and the Gulf Arab states to form an alliance.

Bennett: I will not transfer power to the left

Yamina chairman: I have no problem with Lapid being in a government headed by the national camp. I do not disqualify Sa’ar.

ARUTZ SHEVA

Naftali Bennett

Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett clarified in an interview with Channel 12’s Ofira & Bercovic show that he does not rule out forming a coalition with Yair Lapid.”I will replace Netanyahu in a government headed by the national camp. I have no problem with Lapid being in the government,” he said.

Bennett was asked if he would have any problems being in a coalition in which Gideon Sa’ar serves as Prime Minister and replied, “I am not going to disqualify him, I am not concerned about the position but rather about the direction of the government. I am going to use the power I have to replace Netanyahu, but I am not transferring power to the left. There are 80 seats on the right, the fight is within the national camp and not a fight between the ‘only Bibi’ cult and the ‘anyone but Bibi’ cult.”

Sudan’s Normalization With Israel Is a Win for Everyone

by Erielle Davidson and Lieutenant General Jon Davis, USMC (ret.), The Global Post – February 26, 2021

Sudan announced last month that it had signed an agreement with the United States to initiate the process of normalizing relations with Israel. Despite fears of domestic pushback, normalization with the Jewish state is in the best interests of Sudan, Israel, and the world at large.

The deal was accompanied by a “memorandum of understanding,” which facilitates the US paying down the struggling country’s debt to the World Bank in an effort to kickstart Sudan’s economy.

As a result of the memorandum, Sudan now will be eligible to collect $1 billion annually from the World Bank for the first time in almost 30 years.

Oklahoma Lawmakers Create Process to Reject Executive Orders

WESTERN JOURNAL

The Oklahoma House of Representatives on Thursday approved legislation that would limit the power of President Joe Biden’s executive orders in the state.

HB 1236 would allow the state Legislature to review each executive order to determine whether the Oklahoma attorney general should decide if it is constitutional.

If the attorney general decides not to take action on the order, the Legislature could declare it unconstitutional with a majority vote.

Netanyahu: “I am working on options to keep nuclear weapons out of Iran’s hands”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is convinced that one of the most important decisions of the upcoming election will be who leads the country against Iran. In an interview to Israel Hayom, he warns about the dangers of rejoining the 2015 nuclear deal and points to the next step in the country’s vaccination campaign: Children.

“We’ll be done with the vaccinations in March, the beginning of April. That’s for the adult population. Then “Then, vaccines for children will start arriving,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells Israel Hayom‘s political supplement in a special weekend interview.

“I assume that [regulators] will approve them in April and May, and we’ll receive them immediately after that. We are already in contact with two big companies. I’m personally in contact with their CEOs. Either it will be the same vaccine, or an adapted one. There will also be vaccines adapted to the different variants that are developing. We’re in negotiations for tens of millions of doses of vaccines,” Netanyahu says.

We recognize Haman. But where are Mordechai and Esther?

The story of Purim illuminates the inescapable vulnerability to attack of diaspora Jews

By Melanie Phillips

The Feast of Esther; Johannes Spilberg the Younger, 1619-1690

This week’s festival of Purim provided Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with an irresistible analogy.

Purim celebrates the deliverance of the Jews of ancient Persia by Mordechai and Esther — two Jews who thwarted the genocidal intentions of the Persian prime minister Haman through their courage, daring and strategic genius.

The Biden administration is systematically erasing Trump

By Andrea Widburg, AM THINIKER

Biden is undoing every single executive order Trump signed, regardless of whether a given order made sense or not. The goal isn’t to benefit America or Americans, it’s to destroy any vestige of Trump in the American government (and, as a pleasant byproduct, to replace the American population which a more malleable one).

The Victory Girls blog caught up with the seven executive orders that Biden signed on Wednesday. What’s noteworthy is how innocuous or pro-American the Trump executive orders were. It’s clear that, for the Democrats now in power, the substance of Trump’s executive orders is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is getting rid of them. This is the executive order equivalent of fumigation.

Kavanaugh and Barrett: John Roberts Retreads?

By Rabbi Aryeh Spero, AM THINKER

[…]

First, the Roberts/Kavanaugh/ ACB trio did not agree to take the Texas case brought by the AGs of Texas and many other states, supported by 100 Congressional representatives, that logically asserted that the voters of their respective states had been disenfranchised by the illegalities of those states that had twisted their election laws to guarantee a national Democrat electoral victory, effectively nullifying a fair election result for those voting in other states. Yes, the reasoning may have been correct, but the trio, together with the pre-disposed liberals, said Texas had “No Standing.”
