Will the Islamic Republic of Iran be gone by Monday? UPDATED

Peloni:  What is really needed to support the people of Iran in their goal of regaining control over their lives and their country is real support.  When the US chooses their targets and drops their bombs, no matter the sensitivity of the targets, the people of Iran will still only have their voice with which to defend themselves.  What they need are the capabilities to do more than overwhelm their oppressors with their numbers as they march into a hail of bullets and grenade fire. They need arms, munitions, and the capability to render their zeal as being more meaningful than a gaggle of protesting fish in an Iranian barrel. They need the ability to protect themselves and to stop the purge of their leaders and members and to bring their fight to a meaningful and decisive conclusion. Their victory in this moment will be a victory for the US and the West, and the possibilty of their failure in this moment will be have far reaching implications.  Of course, arming the Iranians will lack the the public extravaganza which arial explosions always provide for the press and which may satisfy a Western audience.  Yet, when the smoke clears from the US ordinance, it will leave the protestors in the precarious and unenviable position of still being defenseless against the unrestrained wrath of their Mullah masters whose control over Iran will not be defeated in the coming strikes.  The Iranians need arms, and they need them now.

While the leftists have been mentally masturbating over Maduro and Renee Good, the real news is the growing anti-Islamist revolution Iran.

or Democrats, including those who run most of America’s media, the only news is that Trump “illegally” extradited Maduro and his wife for crimes against America and that an ICE agent “murdered” an innocent lesbian poet and mommy. For people in living in the real world, the most important news this weekend may be that the Islamic Republic of Iran is almost certainly on its last legs—thanks in large part to long overdue action from Israel and America against this violent, terror-fomenting regime.

The regime has been in trouble for a while, thanks to a terrible drought and to its awful economic policies. These policies were exacerbated by the fact that the mullahs directed money away from the people and into supporting worldwide, terrorism and, especially, funding Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in their genocidal war against Israel.

That this war provided no benefit to the Iranian people was irrelevant. It was Iran’s necessary war with both Eastasia and Eurasia (I’m referring to Orwell’s 1984) because the government needed something to keep the Iranian people’s focus away from the mullah’s failures and atrocities.

However, in 2025, both Israel and the U.S., thanks to Trump, finally confronted Iran directly, destroying all of its air defenses and its nuclear program. Suddenly, the mullahs, like the fabled Emperor, stood there naked before the world. The Iranian people took notice.

Things got even worse for the mullahs because of plunging oil prices—again thanks to President Trump, who revitalized America’s oil production. That was another hit on the Iranian economy that the mullahs were unable to address.

And so, the protests began and, this time, the mullahs couldn’t stop them. Instead, as I tried to document a little bit here, the protests got bigger and bigger, to the point at which the mullahs clearly could no longer trust their own police forces and military troops. And since my post from two days ago, things have escalated further. Here are some of the tweets (because the America media are useless) that I find most important.

First, unlike Obama in 2009, who was so anxious for a deal with the mullahs that he abandoned the people who were rising up, the United States has expressed its strong support for the Iranian people. It began with Trump’s threat against the mullahs (which may help explain fleeing mullahs now that people are getting killed):

Just after midnight (Eastern Time) today, the United States government officially stated its support for the Islamic people:

Aside from being the morally correct position, I would also call this identifying the winner right before the victory.

In addition, as I noted above, mullahs are fleeing, almost certainly because of their fear that Trump will make good on his threat now that people have been killed. (They would also be wise, at this point, to fear their own people.) First, here’s some of the recent news about people being killed:

And second, here are the most recent reports about the fleeing mullahs:

And speaking of picking winners, the Shah of Iran (son of the deposed Shah) has announced his return and urged people to take to the streets for a final push against the government. He must be hearing things from within Iran that make him confident enough to do this:

Significantly, the Shah will almost certainly return secular governance to Iran, since the revolution is decidedly anti-Islamic:

One could say that the U.S. government, the Shah, and people on social media are being unduly optimistic, but the scale of the protests suggests that we’re witnessing a populist movement as big as, if not bigger than, the one that swept the foul mullahs into power back in 1979.

In 1926, in The Sun Also Rises, Ernest Hemingway included this great bit of dialog:

How did you go bankrupt?

Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.

I think we’re at the “suddenly” phase of the Second Iranian Revolution, one that promises to sweep out the tyrants who have clamped down on Persia for so long. I hope I’m right because the world will be a better place if the mullahs are swept onto the trash heap of history.

UPDATE: And yes, the Trump administration is on it:

And Israel seems to be on it, too…maybe:

And speaking of Israel:

  1. This article sums things up pretty well.

Dreuveni’s comment at the bottom is also very much to the point.

I personally contested, during and at the end of the June Campaign= The 12 Day War, that IT WAS A VERY GRAVE MISTAKE on Trump’s part NOT TO FACILITATE REGIME CHANGE.
I full understood his calculus- he believed- WRONGLY SO, that after the Mullahs had Licked their Chops from the devastating Israeli-US strikes, that they would come to the “Negotiations Table” with an ounce of “Humility.” He, Trump, DOESN’T UNDERSTAND “PERSIAN PRIDE.”

    TO THEM, PRIDE MEANS EVERYTHING!
Our Sages in the Talmud explained this at length, several times.

Remember, that from the time of the Babylonian Exile, a vast percentage of Jews resided in The Persians Empire- EVEN AFTER THE BUILDING OF THE SECOND BAIS HAMIKDASH, and the Return of a Great Many Jews to Eretz Yisroel.
SO, the Sages were VERY ASTUTE to the nature of the Persians-Babylonians!

I FULLY AGREE WITH DREUVENI -SHORT OF US BOOTS ON THE GROUND- THERE IS SCANT CHANCE (Short of An ABSOLUTE MIRACLE) THAT THE IRANIAN PEOPLE WILL SUCCEED IN THEIR EFFORTS TO GAIN THEIR LONG-DESIRED AND RIGHTFULLY DESERVED FREEDOM!

The Question Is, WILL TRUMP and Co. do what is PRUDENT and PUT ASIDE ALL THEIR POLITICAL “CALCULATIONS” FOR THE SAKE OF THE IRANIAN PEOPLE, Long-Term US INTERESTS, AND THE FUTURE OF THE FREE WORLD?!

    As I stated earlier today-

    *IT’S NOW OR NEVER-
HE (and we) WON’T HAVE A SECOND CHANCE!!!*

    ADDITIONALLY,
If the US does NOT intervine NOW.
China and Russia WILL UNDOUBTEDLY RUSH IN TO IRAN TO PROP-UP THE REGIME, TO PERPETUATE THEIR INTERESTS AND AMBITIONS!!!

This IS actually, a repeat (even more detrimentally) of “THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE!”

IT WILL (likely) DETERMINE THE FUTURE DIRECTION OF HISTORY AND THE BALANCE OF INTERNATIONAL POWER!!!!!

    I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!

  2. This was not really an article but nonetheless gave us some insight to the Iranian revolution in progress.

To be honest, I was not aware that most Iranians are not Muslim although by now they have been indoctrinated in the Muslim way of life. That may be task #1 when independence from the Mullah Regime is achieved.

The next part of the story is how to actually help the Iranian people? We cannot airdrop weapons and ammunition and hope that the right people get them in their hands. The only way to really help them is to go in there (invade) and defeat the IRGC. Then these people who seem to be willing to follow the new Shah will have to grow a government right away which will not be easy. The Shah cannot rule a country the size of Iran without some kind of government. Probably, boots on the ground is the only way to install law and order until elections can be held which means at least a year. During this time, no one can count on peaceful coexistence with the Iranians because the IRGC will still be hidden amongst them waiting for their moment of heroism or until a whistle-blower denounces them. There are no easy ways to success.

Speaking of invasion, this cannot be Israel; Israel doesn’t have enough human resources to stem this and the people it has are spread thinly enough already.

There are two obvious solutions: US or NATO (which is basically also US) but without the agreement of one and all, this would still fall on US feet since DJT initiated the move. Sure we can blame Israel as always, but that will not solve the problem. We should also remember that this war, yes, it is a war, is outside the normal bounds of NATO.

There are two more sides to this equation, namely China and Russia who both stand to benefit if they can get their boots on the ground. Sure, Russia is somewhat stretched at the moment but a brutal approach will gain a good start as they are accustomed to do. The Chinese are not stretched and they would love to get their claws on the Iranian oil sources and they have plenty of people to join in the fray. They haven’t had much practice recently… Whatever the case, we can’t ignore any of them. Then there are countries like Turkiye, Egypt, and India and Pakistan who might want to do their part too.

Although the Shah follower has been in exile in the USA for years now, the biggest question is who he will award his real loyalty to?
