Ceasefire agreement for what its worth

Only the ceasefire has been agreed upon. All other Israeli demands are to be addressed. That’s like Colin Powell agreeing to consider Israel’s 14 reservations on the Roadmap. They were never considered and neither will Israel’s unfulfilled demands. Ted Belman

Following is the verbatim English text of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza that was reached on Wednesday with Egyptian mediation.

1: (no title given for this section)

A. Israel should stop all hostilities in the Gaza Strip land, sea and air including incursions and targeting of individuals.

B. All Palestinian factions shall stop all hostilities from the Gaza Strip against Israel including rocket attacks and all attacks along the border.

C. Opening the crossings and facilitating the movements of people and transfer of goods and refraining from restricting residents’ free movements and targeting residents in border areas and procedures of implementation shall be dealt with after 24 hours from the start of the ceasefire.

D. Other matters as may be requested shall be addressed.

2: Implementation mechanisms:

A. Setting up the zero hour for the ceasefire understanding to enter into effect.

B. Egypt shall receive assurances from each party that the party commits to what was agreed upon.

C. Each party shall commit itself not to perform any acts that would breach this understanding. In case of any observations Egypt as the sponsor of this understanding shall be informed to follow up.

Israel should make omlets in the next election!!!!!!!!!!!!

fools…do they actually think that Israel is going to continue to take the hit for the rest of the world?

    why not? Its worked before!!!!!!!!!

  4. @ dionissis mitropoulos:

I wrote a comment in reaction to CBC’s “As it Happens” on the CBC Radio One Website. Lo and Behold! They printed it. I’ve detected a small but discernible shift in the mass media this time around. There is much more awareness that the Gazan people are not victims but on Jihadist crusade and much more skepticism of their deceits. I even saw Barbara Walters on ‘The View’ make a quick comment that the Israelis gave them Gaza and now they are using it to send rockets on Israeli civilians.

The radio show interviewed Hamad Keshta who ‘works for the European Union Border Assistance Mission, which helps monitor the border between Gaza and Egypt.’
Holy Jumping Hanna! Talk about the fox guarding the Chickens. The guy was an out and out liar – The interviewer kept asking him about Gazans rebuilding the tunnels to import more weapons and he kept saying it was nothing about ‘weapons’ they were only just ‘building tunnels’ and working because they needed jobs and wanted to promote the economy – nothing to do with terrorism, – he was obfuscating an totally unbelievable. But she never challenged him when he said it will be over when the occupation was ended.
We all know know that ‘ending the occupation’ is Jihadist code for the destruction of Israel.

It’s time to take down these Terrorist Propaganda Groups and challenge the legitimacy of promoting Terrorist propaganda in any form in Canada from or for known terrorist organizations and causes. It’s time to organize groups and to campaign to make this illegal and have tough laws that will punish any such activities.

So heres the comment and the blurb from CBC – listen to the show and get the context. You can probably just get that segment on a podcast.

Why did you allow Hamad Keshta the so-called ‘monitor’ of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to lie and help him wage Jihad against Israel and the West.
Why didn’t you ask him what was being ‘occupied’ and what ‘ending’ the occupation meant. Gaza is not being occupied..the only thing he means by that is that Israel is occupied by Israelis and the occupation will end when all the Israelis are dead and Israel is renamed Palestine.
Go ahead check it out -get him to tell the truth.
And he lied when he said goods were restricted – the only thing that is restricted are weapons. Why do they need weapons? Nobody want to atack them. They don’t use them to fight the IDF – the only purpose they have is to kill and wage terror on Israeli Civilians,
Whey didn’t you ask him what would happen if they stopped trying to kill Israelis.?Obviously they would have peace and prosperity except they simply refuse to tolerate Israel.
Expose the lie-nobody is oppressing Gaza. Hamas is simply waging Jihad and Hamas is responsible for all of Gaza’s problems, not Israel.
Do you refuse to print this? When will some day you tell the truth instead of presenting the lie of “the Jihadist in Victim’s clothing”.
I notice he simply obfuscated you on the question of using the Rafah crossing to smuggle in weapons. He made a fool of you and used Radio One for Jihadist Propaganda.
Since when is it ‘free speech’ to wage Jihadist Propaganda war against Democratic countries,
When will you expose their deceits and stop assisting their lies?.

    http://www.cbc.ca/asithappens/episode/2012/11/22/friday-rafah-border-viking-research-pakistani-shias-attacked-and-more/

    ‘RAFAH BORDER CROSSING Duration: 00:05:52
    Running for the border.

That’s what some Palestinians from Gaza did today, as the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip re-opened — after being closed during the eight days of fighting with Israel.

Hamad Keshta works for the European Union Border Assistance Mission, which helps monitor the border between Gaza and Egypt. We reached him in Rafah’

We need better organization in the West to counter the lies of Jihadist Propaganda. A lot of effort is being wasted individually. We need to gather more spokesmen, a collection body of official responses or counter- propaganda and organizations to expose the lies of Jihadist propagandas and their lies replicated in the MSM.

We could use an official ‘encyclopedia of Anti-Jihadist Propaganda. Index it by Jihadist argument of technique and list the counter argument or links to existing material written to expose the frauds. It’s a waste of energy for individuals to be writing and re-writing and responding alone to the same Jihadist Propaganda everywhere. There is more strength if the response is from an organizational collection.

We need organizations that are powerful and proactive so that the MSM cannot ignore us or twist our words, or censor us and that the effect of Jihadist Propaganda can be countered.

The Western public must understand that such things the Jihadists are doing are in fact not the exercise of free speech nor legitimate citizen protests – they are the cold deliberately calculated acts of Jihad or aggressive warfare against our society.

Hamas did not win because they had military strength, they won because they won and are winning the propaganda war. This is the war that has to be won.

    Max, i am a 100% with you.

  6. Some democrat Jews have accused Bibi of meddling into the US election but keep quite when the US get involved in IL election and the future of the country.
Is there more need to show the hypocrisy of the US & IL left/far left!

  7. Hamas declared a public holiday today to celebrate it’s victory of Israel.

    They used that word ‘Victory’

They survived and are stornger -it’s a victory over the ‘Weaklings of the Middle East’.

  8. dove Said:

fools…do they actually think that Israel is going to continue to take the hit for the rest of the world?

A lot of us took the hit for Israel the last two weeks. Odious abuse, hostility and persecution everywhere. Even I’m minding my own business and someone comes up and just starts ragging on Israel repeating the MSM news. It has an effect on the real world business and relationships and changes the whole social network and drives a line between the Jihadists, their propagandist, their sockpuppets and the Democracy Advocates.

I stood up for Israel and fought the scumbag propagandists and persecutors.
Then I looked behind me – no Israel.
Left us all standing on a limb.
It you’re gong to take the hit go all the way.

Well, Ok – until the next time. We’ll go this thing again. Maybe y’all got a few next times left – maybe not. As long as the country is breathing maybe there is hope.

  9. According to the latest news – over 20 rockets have been fired into Israel since the ceasefire.

Okay, fire 20,000 now in Gaza. Every one of their missiles should be met with 1,000 from Israel.

  10. Now to see how the Israli papers spin this.

“It’s ok folks – you are only going to take a shower!”
    …heard it before …

A very powerful statement, Max. And so true.

  11. Keeping Hamas in power maintains a division between them and the PA.
Iran must be Israel’s immediate concern. A ground operation now would have created too much alienation in the West, just when Israel wants to keep them onside to prevent Iran from going nuclear.
All this criticism in Israpundit is way over the top.
Be positive! G-d is with us. Everything is coming our way. Get ready to celebrate Chanukah and chill!!

  12. They speak with such authority and confidence.

Been listening to the Israeli talking egg heads. Believe me so few have a clue. They should keep these fools locked up in academia and Never let them out to see the light of day, it will destroy them.

  13. A Channel 2 snap poll finds that 70 percent of the Israeli public does not support signing a ceasefire with Hamas, while 24% are in favor of it. Six percent say they don’t know.

Asked how long they believe the ceasefire will hold, 64% say they think it will last a short while, 24% say it won’t last at all and 7% say it will last for a long time.

Asked if Operation Pillar of Defense reinstated Israel’s deterrence, 58% say it has been strengthened, 15% say it was weakened and 26% say it hasn’t changed.

    c. Each party shall commit itself not to perform any acts that would breach this understanding. in case of any observations, Egypt — as the sponsor of this understanding — shall be informed to follow up. Cat guards Mouse 🙂

  14. So Ted, is that it? The blockade is over or poked full of holes?
Or nobody know yet for sure what it means?

Oh yeah, bomb Iran, That’s an end to that fantasy, they can’t even close the crossing.

Absolute wet noodles – paper tigers – internet warriors!
A legend in their own minds.

  15. In case of any observations Egypt as the sponsor of this understanding shall be informed to follow up.

AHA! So The CAT will be MINDING the MICE- How Nice!

  16. Israel terminally stupid elite is incapable of taming Gaza.

And these are the go-to guys who will take on Iran when they can’t even defeat a rag-tag terrorist group in their own backyard?

Don’t expect them to stop a nuclear Iran. The mullahs have nothing to fear from Israel and every one knows it.

  17. Israel has demonstrated once again that against the pressure of EU and America she cannot defend the people of Israel.

The kudos given to Morsi by the media and stupid politicians is a lesson in myopic manipulation of the narrative. Hamas is an extension of the MB and was founded in Egypt. Morsi tried his best under his own limitations to stick it to Israel. From day 2 he called home his ambassador to Israel and allowed Hamas unfettered license to attack Israel at will. He like Mubarak could have reigned in Hamas just by the threat of closing the border with Egypt. He agreed finally to reign in Hamas because America and EU ministers demanded it. He needs their money desperately.

The radical opposition to MB tried recently to blow up a Sphinx and Pyramid. There are food riots and unemployment riots all over Egypt. 50% unemployment. He couldn’t meet the World Bank minimal requirements for a big loan. Morsi may not last all that long and even more radical regimes may replace him. Jordan is facing massive unrest and rioting and the Jordanian police fired on demonstrators.

I don’t see Egypt halting the arms and missile trail from Iran through Sudan into Sinai and into Gaza. They haven’t under Mubarak and no reason to believe a MB President of Egypt will have or demonstrate more motivation than Mubarak.

Obama was the the primary reason Israel halted ground operation. He said both Egypt and Jordan will break diplomatic relations with Israel and abrogate peace treaties with Israel. That was the threat reported.

  18. Here is my opinion from another thread

So when Gaza starts shooting once again, Israel complains to Egypt’s Ministry of Obfuscation.
    Yep.

Ok lets have a betting pool on when the next rocket is fired from Gaza into Israel.
I don’t think there needs to be a betting pool on Israel’s response. I think Bibi is off ordering a new supply of body bags from Obama. That’s what the handshake was all about. He got the body bag contract from Hilary.

Now to see how the Israli papers spin this.

“It’s ok folks – you are only going to take a shower!”
