Radio and personality Avri Gilad visited the Negev on Thursday with the Regavim movement, and came back shocked and appalled.

“There is no more Negev,” he wrote on Facebook. “The Bedouins took it all.”

“It’s unbelievable,” he continued. “They’re killing the Jewish farmers. The Bedouins are allowed, by turning ablind eye, to take whatever land they want, to steal whatever they want, to set fire to the property of whoever they don’t like, to threaten to murder whatever moves, to throw grenades, carry weapons, attack vehicles, whatever.”

Gilad noted that the government has agreed to give Bedouin clans in the Negev over 60 percent of the land they have illegally settled on. “After all this, along comes BennyBegin… and offers them 63% of the territory that they are claiming – with no proof – belongs to them,” he wrote.

“We have to stop the Begin plan immediately,” he stated. “We have to reconquer the Negev.”

“We have to have one law for everyone – both for a Jew who closes in his balcony [without authorization] and for a Bedouin who uses a fence he stole from Omer to fence in five dunams of land as his,” he said.

Regavim is a movement which calls to enforce laws against unauthorized construction in the Arab and Bedouin sectors, where authorities sometimes avoid law enforcement altogether in order to avoid clashes. The group reports that there are 2,100 Bedouin communities in the Negev that were established without authorization and which cover a total of over 800,000 dunams.

While many Negev Bedouin respect Israeli law and even serve in the IDF, the region is also home to several Bedouin crime families and drug-smuggling rings. Bedouin criminals often target Jewish farms in violent attacks. There is also a growing trend of Bedouin men forming predatory relationships with young Jewish girls, which begin as “dating” between grown men and young teenagers and culminate with abduction and rape.

  1. @ SHmuel HaLevi:
On another post it was pointed out how very brilliant the Ashkenazim are. With all the taking the Arabs do with so little Jewish push back I’m beginning to wonder what good all those brains are.

  2. And the solution is?
None if we insist of keeping Peres, Netamnyahu, Livni and the rest of the unJewish pile.
About 10 years agon we identified the internal enemies as our greatest danger. Yet, only a few people prepared to address the subject from its roots.
Begin shmegin, peresites, bibi’s clones, the works the whole combina must be vamoosed.
Alternatively, sit back as watch the whole country fade out.

  3. @ Ted Belman:
I agree! Otter has made some great points today. I was thinking that with the recent advances in desalination and Israel now able to provide half of her water needs with reclaimed water, perhaps a new push can be made to irrigate the Negev and do more forestation in the highlands.

Maybe it’s time to annex the Negev! (Oh, wait, it’s Judea and Samaria that need to be annexed!). Seriously, it’s so foolish to just abandon those lands to the Bedouins–land that could be suitable for more settlement habitation. Maybe Israel could find room there for some uprooted Gazan Jewa who still are not permanently settled. It’s high time something was done about this land grab. And I’m afraid the Bedouins are only a generation or so away from becoming as radicalized as the PA. or even more so.

  4. @ Ted Belman:
Thank you. And I restrain myself to get past Spam Filter, which I’ve noticed freaks out at certain incendiary words. Still, my talkback was a bit too subversive for Spam Filter’s standards, so it set it aside for moderation. 🙂

  5. Canadian Otter Said:

Could it be that Israeli Jews are being distracted and blatantly manipulated in order to ease the Muslim takeover of the country?

these “manipulated” Jews don’t appear to be worried about it. When you combine the rush to give away YS with the rush to give away gaza and now the negev one has to wonder how far behind is Haifa. At what point will the Jews have less than they did in ’48?

  6. In addition to my censored comment, I’d like to add these questions:

Why is it that the Haredim situation gets everyone riled up, but the Bedouin takeover of your land, and the existence of 100,000 African criminals, rapists and murderers in your cities do not?
And why is it that European anti-Semitism is frequently denounced, but virulent Nazi propagands in PA media has been ignored by your leadership for years?
Why is it that any attack on Jews in Europe raises cries of a new Holocaust on the way, but daily attacks within Israel are dismissed?
Could it be that Israeli Jews are being distracted and blatantly manipulated in order to ease the Muslim takeover of the country?

  7. When one reads this and other similar reports of willing surrender to the enemy, all other issues become moot. Israeli leaders are on their knees, and Israeli Jews seem to feel for the most part either helpless, or caught up in a state of wishful thinking and denial. If this were not true there would have been a revolt already. ~~~~~ Writers produce brilliant columns exposing the obvious – for the millionth time – to no avail. The squandering of land and national heritage proceeds at great speed, something unseen in any other nation anywhere or anytime in history. What took 2000 years to recover is being eroded, lost or gifted away. ~~~ Your leadership exploits your internal divisions and intensifies them – while winking at the enemy as he loots your heritage. ~~~ In addition, the steady and willing surrender of majority rights by your leadership and their gradual imposition of dhimmitude is nothing less than criminal. ~~~~~ There is no more time to argue and play around with corrupt and treasonous political parties. There is a need for a massive grassroots movement that will force those in power to drastically reset their priorities. ~~~ Changing the faces at the top won’t do. That is also part of the deception game. Words and promises mean nothing in Israel, and all leaders cave in eventually. ~~~ You need a public keenly aware of this rush to self-destruction and – most importantly – angry enough to organize and demand a drastic change of direction at every level of political decision.

  8. Close to my back yard. Most Arab crimes go unreported. The Bedouin have become in the last 20years more religious, more radicalized and have today a closer identification as Palestinians than at any time in the past. The young ones are the most dangerous. They are thanks to Israeli PC ambivalence, fear, Israeli freedoms, welfare and Israeli education Arrogantly dangerous. We will in the end as I related to one not too long ago that I caught posing as a Jew to pick up Jewish girls, “We will in the end have no choice but to drive you all out of here and or kill you.” He nodded back and smiled.

Decomposing body discovered in car near Israel’s Dimona reactor
Body of a woman in her 40s found after security staff stopped a driver behaving suspiciously near the Nuclear Research Center. The police are now investigating whether the woman was the victim of a crime or died naturally.

The decomposing body of a woman in her 40s was discovered in a car Thursday after security staff stopped a driver behaving suspiciously near the Nuclear Research Center near Dimona. The driver was later identified as the woman’s uncle and he was remanded into custody.

The vehicle had aroused the guards’ suspicions and after inspecting it they called the police. A bomb-disposal expert searched the car and found the woman’s body in the trunk, in an advanced stage of decomposition.

The woman was identified as a resident of the nearby Bedouin town of Kseifa. She had been reported missing from her home a few days earlier.

The police are now investigating whether the woman was the victim of a crime or died naturally. Her body was sent to the Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv for identification and investigative purposes.

The Negev region’s police commander, Brig. Gen. Peretz Amar, gave his region’s central investigative unit responsibility for investigating the death.

The suspect was brought to court in Be’er Sheva Thursday afternoon and remanded into custody pending further investigation.

She was shot twice and her daughter was a witness. He claims it was an accident?
