Peloni: These organizations reflect the biased, factually inaccurate perspectives held by the UN itself. The inherent bias, systemic corruption, and feckless policies make plain their role in expanding regional problems rather than even attempting to address them in a meaningful or effective way. The UN has in fact betrayed its mandate to effect policies which promote stability and expand peace. Both the UN and its many subsidiary organizations should be simply be shuddered.

As the Trump administration undertakes a review of U.S. support for the United Nations, it should defund and seek the elimination of five UN organizations that exist primarily to delegitimize Israel. Toward that end, former President Joe Biden banned U.S. funding of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in 2024 for one year, with President Donald Trump permanently extending the ban in February 2025. However, four other UN anti-Israel organizations still benefit from the UN regular budget, of which the United States is the largest contributor, accounting for 22 percent of the $3.7 billion total, or roughly $800 million per year.
These organizations all purport to advance the Palestinian cause but instead harm all parties involved by promoting the agendas of terrorist groups, endangering Israel, and undermining U.S. interests by extension. The United Nations does not maintain a dedicated infrastructure to promote the interests of any people other than the Palestinians.
UN Organization #1: The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP)
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) established the CEIRPP in its 1975 session during which it also incorrectly proclaimed Zionism to be a form of racism. The CEIRPP says it seeks “to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable rights to self-determination.”
The CEIRPP describes Israel’s founding as the “nakba,” meaning “catastrophe” in Arabic, and has played a role in numerous disinformation campaigns against Israel. Notably, the CEIRPP convened anti-Israel nongovernmental organizations in the early 2000s, helping launch the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel.
The CEIRPP’s secretariat, the Division for Palestinian Rights (DPR), runs the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which has served as a vehicle for disinformation against Israel. In 2023, the DPR’s Day of Solidarity platformed speakers who compared Israel to Nazi Germany. In 2018, a DPR event hosted a speaker who concluded his speech with “free Palestine from the river to the sea,” a slogan calling for the ethnic cleansing of Jews in Israel.
UN Organization #2: UN Information System on the Question of Palestine (UNISPAL)
In 1991, the UNGA established UNISPAL, which is overseen by the DPR, as a tool to help disseminate disinformation created by anti-Israel UN organizations. Notably, the United Nations does not maintain a similar propaganda arm for any other issue.
Many of UNISPAL’s documents contain factual errors. A lengthy five-part report prepared by the DPR, found on UNISPAL’s site, erroneously implies that Jews are not indigenous to the land of Israel. The organization’s database also contains documents that falsely accuse Israel of genocide in the war that began with Hamas’s atrocities on October 7, 2023. Similarly, the database includes the UN Human Rights Council’s March 2025 report, which contains unverified allegations of systematic sexual violence against Gazans by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
UN Organization #3: Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories
Established by the UNGA in 1968, the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices has a one-sided mandate to investigate alleged Israeli crimes against Palestinians and other Arabs, excluding scrutiny of human rights violations committed by Palestinian terror organizations. In a report published on October 25, 2023, that examined the historical context of Israeli security policies, the Special Committee made no mention of the atrocities committed by Hamas against Israelis earlier that month.
A September 2024 Special Committee report on the Israel-Hamas conflict falsely claimed that the IDF used mass starvation as a tactic of war, an allegation contradicted by the United Nations’ own reporting. The report also incorrectly claimed that Israel indiscriminately bombed Gazan civilians. By contrast, top U.S. military experts, including retired Gen. David Deptula and West Point’s John Spencer, state that Israel has worked strenuously to clear civilian areas prior to striking Hamas targets embedded within them.
UN Organization #4: UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA)
The UNGA created UNRWA following the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinians displaced by the Arab-Israeli war. UNRWA has embraced a uniquely expansive definition of Palestinian refugees, which includes the descendants of those under its original remit. Under this definition, the agency’s refugee count has ballooned from 750,000 in 1948 to 5.9 million worldwide in 2024. UNRWA also supports an imagined “right of return” that would allow all of these individuals to move to Israel, which, if implemented, would threaten Israel’s existence and its ability to provide a safe haven for Jews.
Today, UNRWA provides critical support for Hamas. The United Nations investigated 19 UNRWA employees suspected of participating in Hamas’s 2023 atrocities and fired nine of them. But according to Israeli authorities, out of 13,000 UNRWA employees in Gaza, some 2,000 are Hamas operatives. Additionally, the head of UNRWA’s teachers’ union in Lebanon was a senior Hamas commander. Palestinian schools run by UNRWA freely call for violence against Jews and incorporate pro-Hamas propaganda into lessons.
UN Organization #5: United Nations Register of Damage Caused by the Construction of the Wall in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (UNRoD)
The UNGA established UNRoD in 2007 to record the alleged damage caused to Palestinians by Israel’s security barrier in the West Bank. Israel built the barrier during the Second Intifada (2000-2005), which featured more than 3,000 Palestinian terrorist attacks largely stemming from the West Bank. The barrier has saved lives; from 2007 to 2022, Palestinians launched only 141 attacks from the West Bank.
Notably, UNRoD’s stated goal is redundant: Israel has actively maintained a system to address potential harm, including decreased access to worksites and mobility challenges, caused by the security barrier. Israel’s system operates under its High Court of Justice, which has evaluated and addressed hundreds of damage claims. The United Nations does not maintain a system to support Israeli claims of injury at the hands of Palestinian terrorists.

The UN should be abolished. It is the poster child of all that has gone wrong with the world since World War II. It is a Trojan horse for the wealthiest elites across the globe who use the thousands of UN NGOs as money laundering vehicles for their families, businesses, and associates. The Buffett family, the Rockefellers, the Gates family, etc. have family NGOs that launder untold billions of dollars through the UN and to what end? So the countries of the world can attack and criticize Israel at will?
The purpose of the UN was to supposedly promote world peace and understanding. I cannot recall in my 72 years of life a single conflict that has occurred since the UN began that was ameliorated by the UN. Much of the time is spent in the UN showing a particular brand of animus to the only Jewish state in the world.
That alone is a good reason for disbanding the UN, since preventing another holocaust was one of the main reasons for the formation of the UN in the first place!
The world will not miss the UN after it is abolished.
Can anyone name a situation in which the UN played a crucial role in world peace? I can name a genocide that took place, during which UN peacekeepers were sent in, and many observers in that country noted that the genocide not only was not stopped by the UN “peacekeepers,” but continued as if the UN “peacekeepers had never been sent in the first place.
Another country into which UN peacekeepers were sent had an epidemic of bacterial intestinal pathogens that were traced to the toilet facilities of the UN peacekeepers which had infiltrated the country’s water supply. One would think the US peacekeepers, if they cannot keep the peace, at least they could keep their toilets from flushing into the water supply. That country was Haiti.
Look no further than UNIFIL for the true picture of UN cynicism and Jew hatred. You don’t have to be Israeli to realize UNIFIL did exactly zero to prevent Hezbollah from attacking Israel.
Whatever “vision” started the UN, It is clear that now the UN is characterized by complete blindness. The disgusting antisemitism on display at the UN alone should make it unworthy of any financial support from any country, and certainly not the US or Israel.
If the Jew hating nations of the world want to start their own “Anti-Jewish or anti-Israel UN” that is fine, at least they would be honest as to their agenda. Instead the representatives of the nations of the world go to the UN and pretend to be virtuous individuals creating “world peace” while in fact, they dish out cold hatred and intolerance towards the Jews of the world.
The great powers of the world don’t need the UN to meet in order to resolve disputes. All they need do is meet.
In addition to abolishing the UN, I suggest the EU and NATO also be abolished. At this point all these transnational governing entities are Trojan horses for maintaining and aggregating globalist power, all the better to enslave humanity. These latter organizations are responsible for damaging if not destroying the fabric of many European countries.
So by all means do not just end the programs discussed in this article, abolish the entire UN, EU, and NATO as institutions sold to us with lies and unsurprisingly turned out to be failures for mankind.
These institutions which started out as lies (in other words those who started these institutions had no intention such as “world peace” or “understanding” but had the purpose to accumulate power for the wealthiest individuals on earth) bear a similarity to “climate change” and every other globalist cause. The ostensible reason, to “protect the earth”, is not the real reason for the cause. The real reason for the cause is to enrich the wealthiest globalists in the world at the expense of and for the purpose of enslaving the world’s people who will have their wealth and savings stripped from them to benefit the rich and powerful.
Defunding this is also tied up with revising UN funding – as a percentage of GDP.
Meanwhile we know the budgets of these UN organisations so just refuse to fund UNWRA and as regards the rest the US and like minded should discount their subscriptions by the same percentage that the Palestine Budget is a percetage of the UN general expenses.
One of the major problems associated with these organizations is that as a member of the UN, Israel can be attacked by any UN organ. The so-called Palestinians do not have this problem since they are not members. On the other hand, if they were members, they could be attacked just like Israel. If they were signatories to the Statute of Rome, they could be dragged before the ICC.
What we see instead is that any country that shows allegiance to any Muslim or Arab cause will spring to the defense of the so-called Palestinians to the detriment of the Israelis and Jews world-wide. Indeed, the OPEC countries are all happy to wield their power in this respect, coercing and threatening countries that might support Israel by means of their oil. We saw this happen back in 1973 in the aftermath of the Yom Kippur war, where all of Europe was denied (briefly) access to oil to bring it in line with the Arab demands. This was the reason why they were so eager to drill for oil in the North Sea and elsewhere.
All of these UN organizations fall into the same category of siding with the Arab oil against Israel. This also explains why Turkey is so aggressive when Israel and Greece attempt to transfer oil and gas to Europe around them.
The only countries that tend to side with Israel have their own energy resources and can get by without Arab oil, for example USA or Canada. However, since these countries are also driven by their own interests, they cannot be depended upon to reliably support Israel. Many countries around the world are happy to have relationships with Israel far from the public eye. This is, to put it into perspective, one of the reasons why the Muslims are so busy expanding their beachheads in USA and Canada, and in many European countries. Just reading the news highlights how much the rich Arab countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar are willing to invest in universities and similar institutions in the west. The next generation of politicians are being encouraged to support the Muslim philosophies by means of well greased palms at these institutes of education.
Not only these UN organizations, but many others as well, are harmful, destructive, and antisemitic. The U.S. should quit all UN organization except maybe the security Council, which can sometimes be a useful forum for negotiations between the great powers to resolve disputes that might lead them to go to war with each other. All the other UN organizations are harmful, and the U.S. and Israel should leave them. Especially any connected with the General Assembly, which is “stacked” with tyrannies and/or puppet states who represent no one but some crooks who are oppressing and stealing from their own people.
