  1. I’m surprised that nobody has commented here yet.

I noted two things that I very much missed in Netanyahu’s remarks:
    1. There can be no Palestinian state in a position to strangle Israel and especially Jerusalem.
    2. although Netanyahu concentrated on the attack of 10/7/2023, the Hamas and their terrorist friends have attacked Israel numerous times over the past 20 years. They have fired rockets indiscriminately into Israel hoping to kill somebody although they know their rockets are too inaccurate to hit a particular target. They have sent off balloons with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) which burned up fields and forest land and caused a lot of damage.

Coming back to point 1, if there were a State of Palestine, they would be allowed, according to international law, to ask anyone from the rest of the world to assist them in their cause against the State of Israel. Just think, they could invite the Iranians to set up their military forces within a stone’s throw of Western Jerusalem (the eastern part would be in Palestine) and fire away when the urge took hold, which would be often.
