Peloni: Mati Shashani provides a more positive perspective regarding the position of the US vis a vis Qatar as displayed in the days following the Israeli strike on the Hamas leadership in Qatar. Whereas Mati prefers to interpret Rubio’s actions as evidence that Qatar is not an ally, and only a mediator, Rubio’s boss, Pres. Trump described Qatar plainly as not only an ally, but a “great ally”, one which doesn’t receive enough credit for its actions which he suggests they do a better job of portraying to the world. The irony in this is so great that it strikes of satire, in which the Qatari govt’s massive influence peddling and Al Jazeera media empire are not doing enough to convince the world that this world wide terror supporting regime should be seen to be an American ally rather than as an agent injecting Muslim Brotherhood theology into the heart of the West so as to destroy it from within. The distinction between the appropriateness of the US alliance with Qatar and Qatar’s anti-American activities is both glaring and costly in more ways than can reasonably be quantified…which is why America’s romance with Qatar should be ended. As Daniel Greenfield recently, and accurately, penned, “[America] should not be in Qatar. And Qatar should not be in America.”

See my comments on an earlier column republished in Israpundit a few weeks ago. Trump has become completely insane concerning Qatar. He plans to sign an “agreement” with the Qatari regime, a sort of treaty, promising to protect Qatar from any attack by any country, including Israel. The U.S. will also sell a large amount of weapons to the Qatari armed forces, and U.S. soldiers will provide training to the Qatari army. In return, Qatar with make large investments in the United States. Probably these “investments” will fund “nonprofits” that will fund riots attacking Jewish students on college campuses, and funding professors who are brainwashing their students with hatred of Israel and Jews. Also, bankrolling antisemitic organizations and activities elsewhere in the United States, such as California, where anti-Israel activists have murdered several Jews, and even organized a pogrom in a California city, Oakland, I think, in which numerous Jewish owned shops were looted, and Jews attacked and beaten on the streets.
The U.S. has warned Israel never to attack Qatar again.
@Adam
Worse than this, the terms of the agreement are actually being kept secret… and naturally enough the US congress is completely silent on the matter.
