Is Antisemitism in the U.S. Becoming the New Normal?

More than 200 celebrities, including Paul Simon, Sting, Ian McKellen, Mark Ruffalo, Margaret Atwood, and Cynthia Nixon, recently signed an open letter to launch a global campaign for the release of jailed Fatah terrorist Marwan Barghouti, referring to him as “a longtime advocate for freedom and dignity for the Palestinian people.”

Nothing could be further from the truth.

During the years of the Second Intifada, the mass murderer planned multiple deadly attacks against Israeli civilians. He directed Al-Aqsa Martyr’s Brigade suicide bombings on buses, in restaurants, and hotels, including the Passover massacre that killed 30 people at the Park Hotel in Netanya in 2002.

Author Melanie Phillips has accurately described “the Palestinian cause a Trojan horse for antisemitism” and “antisemitism the Trojan horse for the attack on Western civilization.”

Most disturbingly, a new survey has revealed that fewer Americans are resisting the oldest hatred. Significant numbers believe antisemitism is exaggerated, with 3 out of 5 thinking it’s a minor problem.

The survey revealed further troubling findings:

–       The percentage of people who openly express bias against Jews has increased from 6% to 10% over the past two years.

–       Antisemitic white nationalists are gaining influence within the MAGA movement.

–       27% of respondents believe Jews “cause problems in the world,” up from 19% in 2023.

Plus, anti-Jewish hate crimes are at record highs.

What is most concerning is that instructional material created by a nonprofit affiliated with terrorists is being used in American schools. They downplay Hamas terrorism, promote anti-American narratives, glorify the non-existent state of “Palestine,” and accuse Israel of genocide for fighting an existential war on seven fronts that was started by Islamic terrorist groups during a ceasefire.

  1. ” Humor about antisemitism”

“Much Jewish humor takes the form of self-deprecating comments on Jewish culture, acting as a shield against antisemitic stereotypes by exploiting them first:
Rabbi Altmann and his secretary were sitting in a coffeehouse in Berlin in 1935. “Herr Altmann,” said his secretary, “I notice you’re reading Der Stürmer! I can’t understand why. A Nazi libel sheet! Are you some kind of masochist, or, God forbid, a self-hating Jew?”?”On the contrary, Frau Epstein. When I used to read the Jewish papers, all I learned about were pogroms, riots in Palestine, and assimilation in America. But now that I read Der Stürmer, I see so much more: that the Jews control all the banks, that we dominate in the arts, and that we’re on the verge of taking over the entire world. You know – it makes me feel a whole lot better!”
    Or, on a similar note:
After the assassination of Tsar Alexander II of Russia, a government official in Ukraine menacingly addressed the local rabbi, “I suppose you know in full detail who was behind it.”
“Ach,” the rabbi replied, “I have no idea, but the government’s conclusion will be the same as always: they will blame the Jews and the chimneysweeps.”?”Why the chimneysweeps?” asked the befuddled official.
“Why the Jews?” responded the rabbi.
And another example, a direct slice of galgenhumor (gallows humor):
During the days of oppression and poverty of the Russian shtetls, one village had a rumor going around: a Christian girl was found murdered near their village. Fearing a pogrom, they gathered at the synagogue. Suddenly, the rabbi came running up, and cried, “Wonderful news! The murdered girl was Jewish!”
This one combines accusations of the lack of patriotism, and avarice:
Post-Soviet Russia. Rabinovich calls the Pamyat headquarters: “Is it true that we Jews sold out Mother Russia?” “Damn right, you filthy kike!” “Oh good. Could you tell me where I might get my share?”

  2. “…27% of respondents believe Jews “cause problems in the world,” up from 19% in 2023…”

Well, we are never going to be “loved” so we may as well go to it and “clean house” around israel while we can… And we certainly can…

Israel may also consider that there are still around 6 million Jews in the Diaspora, and if a substantial percentage of said Jews decide to make Aliyah, there needs to be some land available to build more living space, as well as for the increase in the various manufacturing facilities that will be needed.

  3. What kills me are Jews like Paul Simon who root for an avowed Jew killer!
Not surprised at all about the rest, they should stick to their talents (the arts) but they are desperate to promote themselves so their agents told them to get more clicks simply support Islamofascist terrorists like Barghouti. So without knowing a damn thing about him, they do it cause they want those clicks!

But when Jews do it, especially famous Jews who have a large following, they are guilty of much more than throwing Israel and Jews under the bus by wanting more fame. They have 100 times more blood on their hands when they do it. Because the world hears them and says: Well if a famous Jew like Paul Simon thinks we should support him, then we absolutely should. I think that Paul should do a free concert in Gaza asap. And stay there.
