How a Hamas Doctor Murdered Noa Marciano

Peloni:  May the memory of this sweet child forever remain a blessing, and may the butchers which needlessly slaughtered her and her comrades be hunted til the last of them are purged from this world.

Noa Marciano was a 19-year-old Israeli girl from Modi’in, a corporal in the 414th Battalion in the Border Guard Corps. Hamas kidnapped her from the IDF base at Kibbutz Nahal Oz when its terrorists stormed it during the October 7 massacre. In captivity, she was tortured, starved, subject to sexual assaults. And finally, an Arab doctor murdered her in a way that is reminiscent of Dr. Mengele. The murder was videotaped; Hamas was proud of what it had done.

More on the murder of Noa Marciano can be found here: “‘Gazan doctors killed my daughter by injecting air into her veins,’ father of murdered soldier says,” by Danya Saperstein, Jerusalem Post, December 11, 2025:

Avi Marciano, the father of murdered IDF Cpl. Noa Marciano said he learned of his daughter’s death in Hamas captivity through a video of her last moments shared by Israel activist Shai DeLuca on Wednesday.

He recounted how he saw footage of a medical professional lethally injecting air into his daughter’s veins after she was taken to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

“A medical professional decided to murder her,” Marciano said, describing seeing his daughter in the video “begging for her life.”

Marciano was sent a video where “in the end, one can see Noa. In it, she’s sweating, but there is no life in her body.”

The IDF was bombing and fighting in the area, and Marciano had been wounded, but, according to her father, the injuries she had suffered were not life-threatening….

Hamas as usual lied, blaming Israel for Marciano’s death which, it claimed, was the result of an IDF airstrike. Israeli experts who examined the body thought at first that she might have been shot. There were also wounds to her body that could have been the result of a fall, or more likely, the result of severe beatings. It was only when the video was obtained that they could see exactly how Noa Marciano died. The awful truth came out: a Hamas doctor had injected air into her veins to kill her.

I am put in mind of another lethal injection that killed a Jewish girl, this one in Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Pnin, where the eponymous protagonist, visiting émigré friends at a dacha that in real life was in West Wardsboro, Vermont, has just heard mention of Mira Belochkin, with whom he had had a brief love affair in the Russia of his youth, and this is the result:

What chatty Madam Shpolyanski mentioned had conjured up Mira’s image with unusual force. This was disturbing. Only in the detachment of an incurable complaint, in the sanity of near death, could one cope with this for a moment. In order to exist rationally, Pnin had taught himself never to remember Mira Belochkin — not because the evocation of a youthful love affair, banal and brief, threatened his peace of mind but because, if one were quite sincere with oneself, no conscience, and hence no consciousness, could be expected to subsist in a world where such things as Mira’s death were possible. One had to forget — because one could not live with the thought that this graceful, fragile, tender young woman with those eyes, that smile, those gardens and snows in the background, had been brought in a cattle car and killed by an injection of phenol into the heart, into the gentle heart one had heard beating under one’s lips in the dusk of the past.

The killers of Hamas are fully the equal of the Nazi killers in intent, if not in result. If given a chance, they would do just as the Nazis did. Fortunately, there is now a Jewish state that can, and does, prevent that.
