A major op-ed by Stephan Pechdimaldji in the 4/21/26 Washington Times, grandson of survivors of the Turks’s massacre of 1.5 million native Armenian people, demands action by the world community, especially the leader of the free world, America, and its current leader, President Donald J. Trump…

Decades ago, while working a summer job in between semesters, I developed a close friendship with a co-worker whose family were also recent arrivals to America as first generation survivors.
He explained his family’s torment, and as a son of a 4,000 year old historic people who also are no stranger to actual, not contrived, genocide, who lost almost all of his mother’s side of the family to the Turks’s Nazi German and other collaborator counterparts (with an equivalent number of Jews murdered in the centuries leading up to the Shoah), I related to his agony very much…
Genocide—the word is tossed around so loosely today.
But the key defining element which distinguishes genocide from, say, people who are killed because they’re caught in the crossfire of warring factions or nations; or, Arab civilians who become casualties because the organization they freely elected to power routinely commits gruesome atrocities against Jews, and then rushes back to hide behind their women and children to use them as human shields, is—despite what anti-Israel propagandists proclaim—definitely NOT a genocide. The latter requires a deliberate intent to wipe out an entire people or group.
Too many Arabs, Turks, other Muslims. and their numerous useful idiots in academia, the mainstream media, and elsewhere, who claim the entire region and whatever else they can conquer as being either solely “purely Arab patrimony,” and/or an inseparable part of the ever expanding Dar-ul-Islam, like to compare what the Shoah’s Jews faced in the Warsaw Ghetto uprising on Passover 1943 to what Arabs in places like Gaza face today.
Nazi stormtroopers and the Waffen SS sought to murder every Jew in the ghetto and elsewhere, and deliberately targeted Jewish civilians. Those who did not die resisting their butchers in Warsaw were cattle carred to Auschwitz, Birkenau, Treblinka, and other mass extermination camps, between 6-6 & 1/2,million, including over a million infants and other children.
What Israel has been repeatedly forced to do because in most Arab eyes there is no other justice but their own in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), is to try to defend and protect itself and its beleaguered people from non-stop attempts on their lives by supremacist, rejectionist, Arabs and their enabling Turkish allies.
Unlike the Turks and Nazi Germans (and the latter’s many collaborators), Israel has bent over backwards, sideways, and forwards to try to avoid civilian casualties.
What other nation in the history of warfare has dropped millions of leaflets, made tens of thousands of cell phone calls, and has taken other such measures to save innocent lives of enemies whose very charter calls for the total obliteration of the sole, minuscule, resurrected, nation of Israel Reborn and the murder of all Jews everywhere, and by doing these things, telegraphed its punch, relinquishing the element of surprise, thereby allowing the actual butchers to escape?
Additionally, this has cost the lives of many additional IDF soldiers.
What other nation? NO other nation. Period…
I always like to demand that those who sit in judgment of an admittedly imperfect Israel compare it to the true genocidal, autocratic, often black African slaver Arab and other Muslim countries surrounding it.
Read one of numerous examples of what leading experts on urban warfare has to say in response to Israel’s biased, one-sided accusers…

Obviously, not all Turks are to blame for such things, but returning to their actions, scores of millions of Kurds, Greeks, Assyrian and Chaldean Christians, Yazidis, and others have been targeted for either physical or cultural genocide in their attempts, since leaving Central Asia, to completely Turkify as much of the region of the MENA as possible, especially the Anatolian Peninsula.
In this endeavor, the Turks copied from their fellow Muslim but Arab playbook.
Iraqi and Syrian Arabs outlawed the Kurds’s language and culture, and gassed to death and otherwise slaughtered over 350,000 of these people over the past century.
Professor Ismet Cherif Vanly’s 1968 book, (before the horrendous ANFAL Campaign of the 1980s), “The Syrian (Arab) ‘Mein Kampf’ Against the Kurds” needs no further explanation, correct?

That President Trump is avoiding confrontation with the Hamas, al-Qaida, and ISIS-supporting Turkey of would-be Sultan Erdogan the Great on the Armenian genocide issue because of the close personal ties he has established with this anti-democratic, autocratic thug should be a problem that he should be confronted about…but not until the current war with the genocidal mullahs and their IRGC and Basij militia are totally defeated with unconditional surrender and loss of some very important strategic territory by the Islamic “Republic” occurs…
For starters, the Strait of Hormuz and key adjacent islands need to be either turned over to Washington, or, like in Sinai, after the June ‘67 War, a Multinational and Observer Force must take control over, not the totally inept (non) peacekeeping force of the United Nauseating Nations.
Those ties with Ankara are the same he has with Arab black African slaver Qatari trillionaire business partners which have already forced Israel to halt its hard won momentum in Gaza and to accept a one-sided ceasefire which has allowed Hamas and its allies to rearm, regroup, regain lost territory and international support, and so forth.
Today, at least, in the wake of their horrendous historic tragedy and oppression, an independent nation of Armenian exists where persecuted Armenians can theoretically go to if need be. Not so, however, for the best friends and allies Washington has in the region besides Israel, 41 million Kurds…
Until the World War I era genocide, millions of Armenians and Kurds lived together in eastern Anatolia.
Unfortunately, the Turks used some fellow Muslim Kurds to also carry out some of their dirty work against Christian “kafir infidel” Armenians and others back then.
But it’s a very different story today, and while Turkey has renamed its 23 million Kurds “Mountain Turks,” out of a total of 41 million Kurds altogether, in an attempt to deny their very existence, Kurdistan, with some lingering problems, still remains the most tolerant region in all this strategically important region besides Israel.
