Of course he didn’t want to show how ineffective the IAEA has been all this time. Iran refused access to their nuclear workshops and refused to divulge any useful information and all of this was without consequences beyond a shrug of their shoulders. Iran was invited to participate in various UN committees instead of banning them completely. It is as if the world community and especially the UN wanted Iran to get their bomb and test it on Israel.
