  1. When the Russia/Ukraine war broke out, I warned folks at Israpundit that the current isolationist tendencies on the right would turn MAGA, the conservative movement and Republicans against Israel. It has actually turned out to be much worse than even I expected. MAGA is outright hostile to Israel and has turned antisemitic. It is rapidly matching the democrat party in its antisemitism.

MAGA is outright hostile to Israel and has turned antisemitic. It is rapidly matching the democrat party in its antisemitism.

Nonsense. With all due respect, this allegation is dishonest, unfair, and unsupportable in the extreme. More than this, with one swipe you would paint our greatest allies as being represented by those podcaster miscreants who disingenuously describe themselves as being MAGA. The consequence of taking such a misstep abuses our friends and isolates ourselves with far greater alacrity than anything that Tucker Carlson might achieve.

In fact, while the MAGA movement has NEVER been a monolithic group, the diversity of the base has grown as the Democratic party has become more starkly anti-American in its nature, focus, and goals. Hence, along with antisemites, you will find racists, and misogynists aplenty who vote MAGA, but to suggest that any of these factions actually represent the MAGA movement in America, you will have to demonstrate a single candidate celebrating these attributes while still being supported by the MAGA movement which you claim to be so completely antisemitic that it is coming to rival the Democratic party. There are 468 Congressional seats up for election this year. In all these elections, can you name a single candidate running with the support of the MAGA movement who is hosting antisemitic themes? Just one?

Meanwhile, Trump has successfully supported the victory of over 100 candidates in recent primaries. How many of these candidates who actually gained the support of the MAGA movement at the ballot box are running on antisemitic themes? None.

Furthermore, as memory serves, while claiming to be the MAGA candidate in a recent election, the antisemitic Rep. Massie pretended he had been endorsed by Trump in an outrageous attempt to forestall his electoral defeat, a defeat which was not just significant due to it being a landslide, but also due to the fact that the MAGA base which he claimed to represent overwhelmingly voted to send him home permanently.

Notably, the largest constituency of the MAGA movement has been and remains the Christian Evangelicals in America, and they not only form the core of the MAGA movement, but they also form the core of American Zionist support. Shaming the movement in which they overwhelmingly demonstrate their strong support for American Jews and Israel does not benefit us, instead it shames us for dishonoring our friends.

Notably, elections have consequences, as they determine how the future will be built, but the specific candidates elected also describe the nature of the people who elected them. Can you look at the swath of candidates which the MAGA movement has elected in America over the past 10yrs and honestly find any support for what I challenge to be a completely unsupportable claim in your statement which I quoted above? Note, the point being made here is not how many antisemites are revealed to have been elected to congress, but how many have been elected while they have burnished their antisemitic credentials. I challenge you that the number is still zero, but even if the number were more than this, is it credible to suggest that they represent the MAGA movement? I submit to you that they would not.

The MAGA movement continues to be the most philosemitic movement in American history. Even as this is true, it is undeniable that the youth in America are less prone to support Zionist themes as compared to the elder generations and that this effect is likely growing rather than diminishing as we speak even on the American Right. This point was raised with enthusiasm by Massie in his antisemitism laced concession speech, and while his vile embrace of this fact was repulsive in its delivery, the point he was making was likely more true than not. So yes, there are antisemites in the Republican party, and in the MAGA movement as well, but I would argue that it is easily not due to the antisemitic nature of either of these organizations, but rather it is due overwhelmingly to the US education system which is burdened with an undue level of Jew Hatred at the organizational and financing level. This is where the influence of the Chinese, the Qataris, the Saudis, and the Muslim Brotherhood have had their intended effect. Yet, note that this effect is not commiserate with the values of the MAGA movement and the Republican party, rather it is intended to undo the values of these organizations in an attempt to overthrow America from within using the growing dominance of the misinformed youths over the dwindling numbers of their well informed elders.

Dealing with this strengthening tragedy in the coming years will be the challenge for America’s future. How well this challenge is handled will determine how long the Jews will continue to survive in America. But it isn’t because of the MAGA movement that this tragedy is unfolding, but rather it is thru the success of the MAGA movement’s survival that this tragedy might be successfully blunted, while being guided by the leadership and conviction of our great friends in the American Evangelical community.
