Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

“My brothers and sisters, dear citizens of Israel.

On the eve of Tisha B’Av, we remember the destruction of the Temple. We remember the terrible price of hatred and boycotts within us.

Over the past three years, with joint forces, we have prevented the
destruction of the Third Temple.

Instead of a civil war, we were brothers fighting shoulder to shoulder to repel those who seek our lives.

We joined forces, fought like lions
and together we saved the State of Israel.

We showed the world that the people of Israel are a brave people, a brave army, a generation of heroes.

We repelled the terror of destruction and achieved great achievements.

Although the work is not yet finished,

Although many challenges still lie ahead of us,

I am confident with every fiber of my being that we can.

As Prime Minister of Israel, I intend to deepen the unity within us.

Therefore, I will work to establish a broad national government, a stable government That you will take care of our security and our future.

I know that during an election period
there will be arguments that will make it difficult for us to see this, but I also know that we are much more united than we seem.

How do I know?

Because I have seen you in a time of testing.

Because I meet our heroic warriors.

Because I have seen the people of Israel in all its parts in all its glory, a people who reach out to one another.

And here is the great lesson: with gratuitous hatred we were destroyed, with the love of Israel we rose.

Together, with God’s help, we will ensure the eternity of Israel.”
