These plans sound wonderful until we reach the consequences. Unconditional surrender entails occupation. Israel cannot do that and USA doesn’t want to do that.
When added up, it means that we are in the wash, rinse and repeat cycle. The current plan doesn’t include subjugation, so the IRGC will resuscitate itself and start over as we have already seen a couple of times. Either they get flattened or they will continue doing what they did so far.
It seems that even with the greatest intelligence agencies in the world, we are unable to behead the snake. Without that, no installed leader will be able to restore peace.
The final option is that these great intelligence agencies can pinpoint the heads the snake must lose but for some undeclared reason, like warmongering or similar, the war must go on. This final option is the worst option because it costs us a lot of lives and money with absolutely no return on the investment.
