Peloni: So from the politically staged timing of this revelation we are to conclude that Bibi alone is responsible for October 7, while ignoring that a full war plan was previously obtained under the Bennett govt, the significance of which was also ignored. The old conceptzia was a malignancy which festered in the Israeli establishment and the result to ignore any intelligence which countered the conclusions which supported the old conceptzia. It was inculcated across the entire of the govt, the security apparatus and the armed forces. The problem is that the remnants of the old conceptzia is still present in the minds of many who would prefer to seek quiet over security, to surrender to US and international pressure rather than to stand alone. We will have more to say on this report, but it is noteworthy that as Bibi was ignoring Biden’s warnings of “Don’t”, his current opponents were challenging him to temper his actions. Indeed, Eisenkot was calling for agreement with Hamas and seeking quiet in the north just 4 days after the Grim Beeper Affair. People need to step back and rationally consider with whom they might trust the lives of children, because that is exactly what this coming election is all about.

The latest Oct 7 report from Haaretz on Netanyahu is outrageous and highlights how the paper is competing as the worst Jew-hating antisemitic propaganda ever, just as bad as Gobbles, Hitler’s propaganda officer.
The political left appears terrified that Netanyahu could win the upcoming election, so much so, that it is blatantly reporting libelous claims. This latest attack crosses an extraordinary line: a ludicrous, libelous story attempting to rewrite the history of October 7 and pin the whole failure on Netanyahu, when all the facts point otherwise.
And Netanyahu isn’t merely denying it. He has instructed his lawyers to sue Haaretz, the journalist Shlomi Eldar and others for defamation.
The story claims that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar warned the Emiratis that he intended to launch a war, asked them to warn Israel, and that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed conveyed the warning to Netanyahu.
Seriously?
We are supposed to believe Sinwar spent 12–18 months secretly preparing the most devastating terrorist invasion in Israel’s history, enforcing strict operational security and then effectively called MBZ and asked him to warn Israel about his plans?
It makes absolutely no sense.
And Netanyahu’s office says the records prove the alleged conversation never happened: no Netanyahu-MBZ call from the beginning of September through October 7, and no record of the UAE representative who would have been required to enter the Prime Minister’s Office with the special encrypted communications device used for such calls.
But now consider newly released information from a security meeting on August 31, 2023, just five weeks before the massacre.
Netanyahu asked his security chiefs:
“What do you propose regarding Hamas?”
Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi reportedly answered:
“We are strengthening our preparedness for escalation. There is no need to reach a round of fighting with Hamas in Gaza.”
Netanyahu pushed back and asked whether Israel could send Sinwar the kind of signal they had discussed:
“A signal that says: your head is on the way.”
Military Intelligence chief Aharon Haliva reportedly responded:
“He knows.”
But Netanyahu continued:
“We are stagnating. We need to start breaking the equation. I am concerned that the boasts are not boasts. And if they are not boasts, it will meet us quickly. We will meet it during the holidays.”
Five weeks later, it did.
At approximately the same time, Brig. Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi says he asked the Gaza Division commander what was happening along the border.
The answer?
“They are deterred. They don’t want any confrontation.”
And on Oct. 1st, six days before the invasion, the IDF and Shin Bet were advocating continued economic measures toward Gaza, and senior defense officials were pushing Netanyahu to increase the number of Gazans permitted to enter Israel for work, on the theory that economic incentives would help maintain calm.
That is an extraordinary contrast to the Haaretz claim.
Netanyahu was reportedly warning that Hamas’s threats might be real and could hit Israel during the holidays, while senior security officials continued operating under the disastrous assumption that Hamas was deterred.
And now Haaretz wants Israelis to believe that Sinwar himself secretly warned Netanyahu through the UAE?
Meanwhile, according to Haaretz’s own investigation, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar proposed eliminating Sinwar on October 1.
Yet on the night of October 6–7, Bar was reportedly worried about a “miscalculation” and about taking action that could unnecessarily ignite Hamas.
How do those accounts fit together?
They don’t.
And when people have actually tried to investigate the failures of Oct. 7 to get to the truth, look what happened.
State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman began investigating the October 7 failures. Netanyahu reportedly testified for four hours, laying out his account of Gaza policy going back a decade. Englman says his office collected “extremely critical information” important for “saving lives.”
Senior security officials refused to appear before the State Comptroller despite the law making it a requirement.
And then Israel’s Supreme Court froze the Comptroller’s investigation. And silence…
Brigadier General Oren Solomon, Oct. 7 hero who fought at the Nova Festival with his son, was given responsibility by the Gaza Division commander to conduct an internal IDF investigation into the Oct. 7 failures.
The army stopped his investigation. Former IDF Chief of Staff Halevi had him thrown out of the army. The conclusions of his investigations are still unpublished.
This is what Israelis should be demanding answers about.
Public statements from Ronen Bar and Herzi Halevi expose how they saw critical warning signs in the hours before the invasion but, fearing a “miscalculation,” decided not to alert Netanyahu in time.
Don’t take Netanyahu’s word for it.
At 5:15 a.m. on October 7, according to material released from the Shin Bet situation assessment, Bar’s instructions included:
“Medium, covert readiness so as not to create a miscalculation.”
And:
“For the time being, refrain from broad activity on our part in order to avoid a miscalculation.”
Investigate it.
Investigate Netanyahu. Investigate Ronen Bar. Investigate Halevi. Investigate Haliva. Examine Englman’s evidence. Examine Solomon’s evidence. Release the relevant transcripts and records.
Establish who knew what, when they knew it, and what they did about it.
But stop obstructing investigations while explosive media stories conveniently emerge shifting responsibility onto Netanyahu, especially during three years later conveniently during election season.
The Israeli people deserve the truth.
Open everything. Investigate everyone. Follow the evidence. Protect nobody.
Because if we truly mean “Never Again”, Israelis must finally learn how the IDF and intelligence services failed to protect our borders that Simchat Torah morning of Oct. 7.
The truth will come out. Just don’t trust anything from Haaretz trying to cover up for the colossal failure to protect our border by playing on the Netanyahu hatred.
The problem is that people all over the world are seeing this libelous Haaretz story and they will use it forever to prove their dangerous conspiracy theories about Oct. 7.
We will overcome the senior security and legal officials trying to hide the truth and cover up for themselves.
Stand with Netanyahu. Stand with Israel and the Jewish people. Stand with the truth.
