Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

A senior Israeli air force officer said Israel’s strikes have killed thousands of Iranian soldiers.
“In the past two days, we have killed thousands of Iranian forces,” said Col. “Aleph,” the commander of the Ramat David Airbase — identified only by his first initial in Hebrew — in a video published by the military.
The airbase commander said he had participated in a wave of strikes on a massive Iranian military compound in eastern Tehran.

Report — Operation Epic Fury: U.S. Military Deploys HELIOS Laser to Cripple Iranian Regime
The High-Energy Laser with Integrated Optical Dazzler and Surveillance (HELIOS) system appears to be fixed on a U.S. Navy destroyer near the Iranian coast, the New York Post reported Wednesday.
It is capable of destroying drones, and the Post said videos showing rockets exploding over the Israel-Lebanon border have been unofficially credited to the Israeli military’s Iron Beam weapon, which is also a laser.
