Avi Weiss’s huge exposé – everything Ronen Bar has been hiding from us for a year and a half:
-
Hamas activity inside Israel on the morning of the massacre did not begin at 6:29 as they wanted us to think, but during the small hours of the night. I received testimonies from people who were there in real-time around 3:30 AM. Also, 2 of the SIM cards that were used – were activated during those same hours inside Israel.
-
There were terrorist infiltrations from a tunnel into Israel during the night. The existence of the tunnel was revealed on N12 a year ago, but without the current context.
-
Out of 17,000 Gazan workers who entered Israel on the Thursday before the massacre, only 6,000 returned to Gaza. 11,000 of them – remained in Israel during the massacre. Did some of them help Hamas from within?
-
The Shin Bet’s “Tequila Team” left Tel Aviv around 5:00 AM. It included a Yamam team. The team departed in six vehicles, which also carried two trailers full of ammunition and equipment. What did Ronen Bar already know by 4:30 (at least) when he dispatched them?
-
Contrary to every basic protocol – the police were not informed that Yamam was being deployed. Not the police commissioner, not the head of the operations division, not the operations director, not the Southern District commander – nothing.
-
Not only were they not informed: had they been informed, they would have automatically issued “Dagger Code,” together with the IDF and the Shin Bet. Dagger Code immediately activates additional systems like MDA (emergency medical services), fire department, readiness squads. They would have immediately closed the entire area and evacuated Nova, because Yamam was about to use high-intensity weapons there, such as grenades and more.
-
This is also the reason, by the way, that soldiers were ordered not to approach the fence. Simply, a battle was supposed to take place there…
-
At 1:33, the time Bar claims he sent alerts to additional systems – there was definitely no alert received, not by the police and not by the IDF. Bar’s goal in this spin, apparently, is to shift responsibility from himself to the IDF and the police, who “did nothing,” supposedly.
-
These Hamas forces had already been deployed during the night on routes in the area – primarily along Route 232, which is the main road in the area. They set up ambushes and also provided intelligence on the situation on the ground before the attack began. It seems there was also infiltration near the “Black Arrow” memorial.
-
The observers at that time reported on Gazans approaching the fence.
-
Note: the SIM cards used during those hours were with Hamas battalion and brigade commanders. Not small fry. A clear sign of an approaching attack.
-
And finally: Suleiman Maswadeh previously published the wording of the “alert” that the Shin Bet issued to the other agencies at 2:58 AM. In that document, the Shin Bet wrote that it still did not know how to assess the purpose of Hamas’s actions. Why, then, did the Shin Bet dispatch the Tequila Team at night, if the main assumption at the time was that this was not an attack?

This is all very disturbing news! It is hard to believe that this situation was known to be developing at about 1:33 AM but the information was not sent out to those who had a need to know. Up to this point, I found it hard to believe that Hamas could prepare the terror attack on Oct 7th without the Israeli “intelligence services” becoming aware of the fact, but this piece of information points directly to an act of treason.
The next big note of interest in this article is that of the 17,000 Gazans working in Israel at that time, 11,000 remained overnight in Israel.
This question seems to be superfluous. We already know that these workers, who all enjoyed the pay they got for their work in Israel, provided detailed information about, for example, who lived where, who had a dog, who likely had small arms at home and all sorts of other relevant information. Even doubting that these mostly fit young men were involved in the massacre seems to be in the realm of dreams.
Continuing in the article, the reports about relevant forces not being informed of the ongoing attack seems to be far out of line. According to the news from Oct 7, Hamas were firing rockets, there were tractors and bulldozers in action and there were even commando attacks from the sea going on and no-one noticed? Ordering soldiers not to advance into the border region also lacks plausibility.
Observers reported Hamas forces approaching the fence and then the ambushes set up by Hamas along the only (!!??) approach road to the region and still no word was sent out about SIM cards???
The only remaining question after this report is why Netanyahu has done nothing concrete so far to correct the situation? The top echelon of the Shin Beth and Mossad should be enjoying air filtered by steel bars and maybe he should be in there along with them. So far, I have tended to believe that Netanyahu was really suckered by his intelligence chiefs, but after this article, that now seems to be insulting my intelligence.
But the unelected SC cares only about itself!!!
