To be clear, the reason the HCQ cocktail was never released to the public was due to Bright’s coordination with Janet Woodcock from the FDA. Together they developed a plan that prevented Trump’s order to release the drug to anyone wanting to use it early in 2020.

In 2 1/2 months, there were reports of over 50,000 Adverse Events and over 20,000 Serious Adverse Events including 1,227 deaths. The Serious Adverse Events were so numerous that they delayed the reporting of the non-Serious Adverse Events just to keep up processing the Serious Adverse Events.
