Unbelievable!!!
For decades, the geopolitical logic of the Middle East seemed simple.
Israel had no natural resources.
The surrounding Arab and Muslim countries had oil.
That oil gave them enormous power over the Western world. Every Western government knew that if they pushed too hard against the Arab Muslim regimes, Sunni or Shiite, oil prices could skyrocket, shipping lanes could close and economies could collapse.
So what happened?
Israel was constantly pressured.
Israel was constantly blamed.
And the regimes funding terror, Saudi Arabia, Iran etc. were constantly appeased.
Arab states launched wars against Israel. Western governments urged restraint, from Israel. Terror organizations murdered civilians. Western diplomats called for “balance.” Iran openly called for the destruction of Israel and America while building nuclear weapons and funding terror armies across the Middle East.
And still, the world hesitated.
Because of oil.
The Arab oil embargo of the 1970s made the lesson clear: energy was a weapon. Sunni regimes used oil embargoes to pressure the West. The Shiite regime in Iran later threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly 20 percent of the world’s oil flows.
Oil became the Islamic world’s geopolitical shield. It allowed regimes that supported terrorism to act with near impunity.
But today, something extraordinary is happening.
The entire strategic equation is collapsing.
Over the past few days, Israeli strikes have begun targeting key Iranian oil infrastructure. Large oil storage depots near Tehran have been hit and set ablaze. Fuel transport hubs tied to Iran’s petroleum distribution network have been destroyed. Logistics facilities used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to move energy resources and weapons have been severely damaged.
At the same time, Iran has retaliated by attacking energy infrastructure across the Sunni Gulf states. Drone and missile strikes have targeted Saudi oil facilities such as the Berri oil field and energy infrastructure near Ras Tanura. Iranian drones have struck fuel tanks at Oman’s Duqm port. Tankers in the Gulf have been attacked. Bahrain’s energy infrastructure and shipping have been threatened.
The energy war has begun.
But here is what most commentators are missing.
This war is not only about Iran and Israel.
Trump is also focused on crippling China, the biggest global military and economic threat to America..
For years, China has been the primary buyer of Iranian oil. Sanctions meant little because Beijing quietly absorbed most of Iran’s exports, often through shadow tanker fleets and intermediary traders. Some estimates say as much as 80–90 percent of Iran’s oil exports ultimately went to China.
That oil fueled China’s industrial growth and strengthened a geopolitical axis linking Beijing, Tehran and Moscow.
But if Iranian oil infrastructure is destroyed or severely degraded, China loses one of its most important discounted energy supplies.
And remember: Venezuela’s oil production, another major Chinese supply line, was just taken over by the USA.
Now imagine the implications.
China loses Venezuelan oil.
China loses Iranian oil.
The Strait of Hormuz becomes secured by U.S. naval dominance, neutering the Islamic world’s ability to threaten to close it.
Suddenly the world’s largest energy importer, China, becomes vulnerable.
This is why the energy front of this war is so significant. When Israeli jets strike Iranian oil depots, they are not only weakening the Iranian regime.
They are striking a strategic supply line feeding China’s rise.
And that is why the United States is standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel.
On top of that, the collapse of the Sunni Gulf states’ strategic importance with oil is happening in real time as well .
For decades these regimes believed their oil and gas wealth made them untouchable, able to pressure the United States and the West whenever Israel defended itself.
But Iran’s response to the war is exposing the fragility of that system. Over the past few days Iranian drones and missiles have struck energy infrastructure across the Gulf: a major attack targeted Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura refinery, the kingdom’s largest oil processing hub, forcing production disruptions; drones hit fuel storage tanks at Oman’s Duqm port and damaged oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz; Iranian strikes forced Qatar’s massive Ras Laffan LNG complex—responsible for roughly 20% of global liquefied natural gas supply, to halt production, sending global gas prices soaring.
Iran’s strategy is obvious: if it cannot defeat Israel and the United States militarily, it will try to weaponize energy again by attacking Gulf infrastructure to pressure Washington to stop the war.
But instead of restoring the old oil blackmail system, these attacks are revealing something far more consequential, the Sunni Gulf monarchies are wealthy, but strategically vulnerable, and without American and Israeli power protecting the region, their oil wealth alone cannot defend them.
The strategic importance of Arab Muslim oil is totally changing.
For decades Israel was treated like a burden, with no energy sources.
Critics claimed America supported Israel out of sentiment or political pressure.
But today the reality is obvious: Israel is not a liability.
Israel is a strategic force multiplier for U.S. foreign policy.
And the transformation is astonishing.
The same Jewish state once mocked for having no natural resources now exports natural gas to Europe and to Egypt, helping reduce Western dependence on hostile regimes. Israel’s offshore gas fields have already reshaped Mediterranean energy markets.
Meanwhile the Iranian regime’s oil infrastructure is burning.
The bombing of Iran’s oil facilities is a historic event. It is Israel’s “doomsday weapon.” The era of “Islamist oil blackmail”, whether Sunni embargoes or Shiite threats to close the Strait of Hormuz, is ending.
For decades the Saudis and the Iranians tried to extort the West through oil. Threaten Israel, they warned, and the oil stops flowing or prices skyrocket.
But this war has now changed the world.
The United States is now the largest oil producer on earth.
India is strengthening strategic ties with Israel.
China is locked in economic confrontation with Washington.
Europe’s geopolitical influence is fading.
Israel has become a regional superpower.
Arab regimes that once threatened Israel now scramble to protect themselves.
European powers that once dictated terms are strategically irrelevant in this war.
Russia and China watch from the sidelines.
India increasingly aligns with the American–Israeli axis.
The world order is shifting before our eyes.
And perhaps the most remarkable transformation is psychological.
For decades Jews were taught to see themselves primarily as victims, victims of antisemitism, victims of exile, victims of global hostility.
But today the Jewish people are once again shaping history as victors.
We are taking out Iranian military generals and religious/jihadi leaders. Eliminating
Hezbollah commanders. Attacking Iranian oil depots . Collapsing the evil Shiite terror empires.
This is something our grandparents could barely imagine.
These are extraordinary, almost biblical moments.
The deeper question is whether we understand the moment we are living in.
Because these are not normal times.
These are historic times.
These are Geulah/redemptive times.
The Jewish people have gone from victims to victors. The State of Israel is emerging as a major global force and the most trusted ally of the biggest empire of the world, the United States.
A century ago the Jewish people were stateless. Today we are reshaping the strategic map of the Middle East and global security.
The question now is not whether history is changing.
It already is.
The real question is whether we will have the faith and courage to recognize the destiny unfolding before our eyes.
Strengthen your faith in God and be part of these extraordinary times by coming home to Israel. Don’t remain on the sidelines of Jewish history. If not for yourself, then for your children and grandchildren. We here in Israel are experiencing, and helping fulfill, our national destiny. What a remarkable time to be a Jew.
Am Yisrael Chai!!!

We must admit, we were pushed into this situation. If the Iranians hadn’t attacked us in so many different ways, we would not have returned the favor.
Nonetheless, we knew that this was on the books or rather in the book. We just didn’t expect it to happen this quickly.
By the way, it is not over yet. The Arabs, even those enjoying our protection for now, still don’t like us and all those centuries of consistent effort to exterminate or enslave us are still alive in many Arab countries right around us.
Even the declarations of Rabbi Herzog (neighboring article) will not diminish their hate of the Jews and the children of Israel (all of them).
Buckle up and remain vigilant.
Am Israel Chai!
Redemptive times indeed. Let’s all pray for the brave men and women of the armed forces of Israel and America, who are helping to bring about Geulah, and let’s also pray for a swift end to the war and that the mullahs’ Satanic regime is completely toppled.
