I thought the Efrat commercial at the end was going to be a satirical commercial about U.S. Pressure on Israel. It really could be, you know. 😀
She should have asked Admiral Ettinger about the sovereignty bill after he said another Arab state west of the Jordan River would hurt U..S. interests and asked him to give examples.
It seems to me the conventional wisdom is exactly backwards, it’s fear of Iran that pushes the Abraham Accords hudna forward.
Keeping convicted pal terrorist murderers in prison in order to exchange them later instead of executing them is
what incentivizes hostage taking.
It reminds me of a Khelm story (I think the Duolingo “ch” sound works better because it’s unique. Ch could also be pronounced like ch in Charlie).
“Somebody was stealing from the poor box so they hung it from the ceiling. But then they realized donors couldn’t get to it so they built a staircase to the ceiling.”

And perhaps herein lies the real reason that Iran has not yet been completely eliminated…Whether by design or circumstance, Iran continues to be the glue which holds the AA in place and supports greater members joining this organization of peace partners who collectively lie in fear of Iran’s nuclear menace. Whatever might replace this influence when or if the Mullahs are removed from the geopolitical board.
Indeed, as geopolitical circumstances change, so do national interests, and so do the interests which support adherence to peace treaties. This is why Egypt so boldly came to openly described Israel as “the enemy” for the first time in nearly 50yrs while it is they who are repeatedly and increasingly violating the peace deal with Israel, the same peace deal from which they are still increasingly benefiting as their hudna mask slips despite the recent gas deal struck between the Egyptian and Israeli ‘peace partners’.
