The Knesset has approved, by a narrow 25–24 vote, a preliminary bill to extend Israeli sovereignty over all Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. The proposal, introduced by MK Avi Maoz, aims to apply Israel’s full civil, judicial, and administrative law to the region—essentially bringing it under the same legal framework as the rest of the country. The bill will now move to the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for further review and refinement before advancing to additional readings.

• In a related development, MK Avigdor Liberman’s bill to apply sovereignty to Ma’ale Adumim passed with a wider majority of 32–9, signaling growing parliamentary momentum for formalizing Israel’s jurisdiction in key areas beyond the Green Line.
