Peloni: This is an important article. Without addressing the open support and advocacy of Jihad inherrant in Islamic society and religious teachings, any attempt at peace should be understood to be a practice in the art of hudna. Accepting political deception employed towards the goal of ultimate conquest is not a peaceful endeavor, it is simply a staged surrender.
The myth That Calls Itself a Peace Declaration
Aynaz Anni Cyrus | Oct 14, 2025
I stayed fairly quiet yesterday. I was told, politely, of course, to “let people celebrate” for a day. So I did. I gave it 24 hours while the headlines cheered the return of hostages and the signing of yet another “peace” agreement.
Now the day is over. And I’m back with the reality that seems to be missing from the table.
False hope has always been humanity’s worst enemy, but we keep treating it like a friend. Just like Western leaders keep treating Islamists as allies, no matter how much blood is on their hands.
Below is The Trump Declaration for Enduring Peace and Prosperity, published on the White House website on October 13th. It reads like a prayer for unity and delivers like a brochure for surrender.
So I took the liberty of adding a few factual notes of my own.
We, the undersigned, welcome the truly historic commitment and implementation by all parties to the Trump Peace Agreement, ending more than two years of profound suffering and loss — opening a new chapter for the region defined by hope, security, and a shared vision for peace and prosperity.
Note: Historic commitment and implementation? The only commitment was the release of nearly 2,000 jihadists, many with blood on their hands, and the only thing “implemented” was Palestinians returning to Gaza, while deceased hostages are still missing. And “all parties”? That’s rich. The undersigned list is missing the actual parties, Israel, Hamas, and the PLO. So right off the bat, we could just go home and watch WWE; it’s more real than this agreement. But let’s keep going.
And if you still believe this is peace, I’ve got some crosses on sale that are more grounded in reality than this entire summit. LUTF Studio.
We support and stand behind President Trump’s sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza and bring lasting peace to the Middle East. Together, we will implement this agreement in a manner that ensures peace, security, stability, and opportunity for all peoples of the region, including both Palestinians and Israelis.

Excellent article, as always from Aynaz. I would disagree with just one thing though, and that is assuming that Trump is merely naive about the Middle East and Islam. We all like to give our hero the benefit of the doubt, don’ we. But that does not square with his recorded statement in his first term calling Islam a real threat to civilization. He did that over and over.
What changed? The Patrick Wood theory is that he is conspiring with empire seeking technocrats, as in a digital, biometric test case in Gaza. The theory of former Egyptian Christian Osuma Dikdak (sp?) is that Trump believes there are too many Muslims to be killed so they must be bought off with “progress.”
IMO, the least Trump can do is get them out of the US. I don’t see that yet from him, although some senators are moving in that direction.
A good summary of lots of things we have been worrying about for a long time now, especially the pieces that deal with Turkey and Qatar. If we had a spot on this site to thumb up an article, my thumb would be there.

@Peloni, thanks for your suggestion. I have been able to set a thumbs up occasionally, but this time I was referring to the article rather than a comment.
A very remarkable piece…
